I'm really excited for this pack. This is the best EP since Cottage Living and may even be the best of all the EP's so far (depending on if it all works, of course). I'm really intrigued by the rebirth feature and realized that we can make actual soulmates with this. I want to play a couple who, after passing away, are reborn in different worlds but manage to find each other and fall in love again. I'm curious to try this out and see what special interactions/moodlets they'll have with each other when they meet again in their next life. I also think it would be cool to make jewelry to pass down as heirlooms using the Crystal Creations pack. I hope it will integrate with the keepsake box that you can pass down in the Growing Together pack.
Your soulmates' idea is beautiful!! I hope the story works out amazingly!!! I also hope we can pass the things we create in Crystal Creations. Like you said, I also think this might be the best expansion ever. Plus, Im super excited that I will have a crow as a pet and that it seems like a world inspired by Romania!!
Lady Ravendancer (Ray-vendancer) Goth is a reference to the sims 3 store item. The book o spells item from the store. Her name also pops up in Paranormal Stuff on an item.
Love the features! Just hope they work and aren't so broken when released, like My Wedding Stories

I’m so freaking excited for this! It’s gonna completely change my play style, let me tell you. I didn’t think I would need a ghost refresh (because I never thought they were interesting enough) until the trailer dropped. Now they’re so interesting, like you can have tortured ghosts with unresolved business, kind ghosts that want to help people and evil ones that haunt a particular lot. And they can also decide if they want to stay as a ghost forever (if they like their non-physical form better), rebirth as a new Sim or just rest in peace and go to the afterlife. Like they’ll have so much more personality now! You could play as a powerful ghost with a huge ghost legacy that create chaos and mayhem anywhere you go, or just complete your bucket list to ascend to a different realm and rest. I feel like this is so beyond cool. I always played with aging off as I didn’t like the idea of my sims dying, but now I know I’ll be able to rebirth them every time I want. I can’t wait to play with this 🥹
I also play without aging, but this is a game changer!!! Im so excited!!!
If you played the Sims 3, I dont know if you remember a career in the Supernatural Expansion, and it was like a Ghostbusters. It was so fun because you get called to houses and trap ghosts with the proton gun or a floor trap, you can talk to them too and make them leave peacefully and some were possesing an object so you had to get them out of that first. It was my favorite job in the Sims 3, lol (not sure about the full name of the gun in the movie Ghostbusters, and it's the same thing, but that's part of it, haha)

Lady Ravendancer Goth is a lore witch sim. I don’t believe she’s ever shown up or have been made but it is implied she’s a witch and medium through her objects. In Sims 3, you can buy Lady Ravendancer Goth’s “Book o’ Spells” from the Sims store which (obviously) is a book of spells with their own fun animations and exclusive spells separate from the spells and animations in Sims 3 Supernatural. Her name popped up again in Sims 4 Paranormal Stuff as the crystal ball is named after her. And now her name has popped up again! I really love the cool little detail for the occult players. Perhaps I’ve missed fun Easter eggs regarding her so if I did, definitely let me know
Looks like the crypts are rabbit holes like we got in the werewolf pack. They were featured in the trailer they are basically tombs
I really hope the bucket list has its own tab because that traits tab has gotten FULL over the years
I'm really intrigued by the Ghost's enhancements, I wonder how they'll do it since other occults can be ghosts too

"Lady Ravendancer Goth WHO" just shows how pointless the whole Sims 4 thing has became. Most people who are avid fans of the game (really, TS4 exclusively) nowadays weren't even playing TS3 when it was contemporary and of course have no clue that EA, here and there, tries to sneak in easter eggs or pay some (lame excuse of) a tribute to previous games. It's crazy to me how most Sims players today are puzzled by the term "Strangetown Bella". 😥

As a sucker for tarot, I really liked the ones they’ve used in their teasers and stuff… I dunno if I’d actually want to buy them because it’s EA & it’d be such a money grab- but I’d be 100% lying if I said it would be tempting just for the designs alone just cuz I love tarot but… yeah. 😅
Macabre is pronounced, Ma Cobb. It's French, meaning anything that deals with death, dying, etc...
It's (correctly) pronounced as "makabʁ". The "r" is pronounced as a fricative, with a schwa.

Just so everyone knows. I'm not trying to be a smart@$$. I actually went to school to be a Mortician some 20+ years ago. I no longer work in that field, but I try to help others learn of the weird and unusual things surrounding funerals, etc...
I genuinely hope someone in the community will make a custom mod for the bird so I can finally have my pets in the game. It’s nice that we have cats and dogs, but I want my own birds in the game like the Sims three!!

I’d love it if your child Sim could make goals in their journal and you could have them do like a childlike goal like having a pool party and if you never complete it that childhood goal follows you on your bucket list 😂 so your elder Sim could have something ridiculous on their bucket list from when they were a kid

Macabe is actually from french: Macabre: gruesome.
But in english you can use the french word macabre. So it probably a mistake

The whole reincarnation and playing as a ghost doesn’t interest me at all , I know I won’t just be this committed to continue playing with my reincarnated sim or a ghost sim or with a ghost sim in my household ! 😅

i just listened back to my video and i said it correctly this time, unless i accidentally kept interchanging how i was saying it throughout the video but at around the 2 minute mark i did say it like tair-oh. i double checked the pronunciation with google audio too cause i thought i was crazy after this comment 🤣 i did however pronounce it wrong in another video and then in another video made sure to let people know to just ignore me if you hear me interchange the way im saying it sometimes because too many people around me would say it the incorrect way haha

Cool but is it really going to be worth $60 you can literally by a fully working game for that price. It’s abit steep really especially if ts just going to add mass loads of bugs in the game and have half broken features like half the packs these days. Mostly all the expansions or add ons I’ve bought for this game have at least 1 broken feature and for the price of a full game each add on is. It really isn’t worth it in the end of the day if what I pay for doesn’t even work.
I really hope that the sims fix the game more before this pack comes out because before lovestuck came out the update broke the gallery for me I can’t even get into the gallery and its really making me so frustrated 😣 like what’s the point of having a gallery for you to see others creations if you can’t even get into it because of something EA broke 😭😠

How is it even possible that I as a non native English speaker know what macabre is in English and in my native language and find it disgusting but all these native speakers are like what is this 🙈.
I’m still so conflicted about this pack … I seriously don’t know … it just seems like EA has really crossed a line here … grief and death feels like something they should have left untouched but I guess not. We’ll see… 😢
I may get the pack for the build stuff and try to ignore most of the gameplay. Let’s hope there’s mods that fix some of that stuff. 😢
Most people here dont know the pronunciation of macabre because its not used here often. In my years on this planet Ive only ever seen than word written down. Its never been spoken around me. Lets stop bashing people for words they dont know.
Secondly, I see what you are talking about but death and grief are a part of life, so its only logical that they add it to sims.
