I found a deal with 3x Original FZ-100 batteries (~€70 per pcs) and the Tri-Charge for total of €199 so cheaper together than 3 batteries alone.
I think it is a bit of the slow side when charging and I have a couple of things to nit-pick, so maybe I have to do a review as well.
Otherwise, your review was really helpful when meeting the decision, thank you!
I will keep a look out for your review and glad this one helped you… I did do some charging test video follow ups… I don’t think the charging speed is that bad… I’m at least content with the convenience…
I do hope there’s a v2 or a duo charger at some point soon though… it would be good to have a couple of these things tweaked…

Any info on charge times of say (1) battery fully empty to full? Wondering if usb-c/pd speeds up charge times. Fastest usb-c input charger i've ever seen was 2.5hours
This is actually a test I have been meaning to do, so thanks for asking the question which has now nudged me to just go do it!
Not sure if you have caught the test, but I’ve done a somewhat informal one if you wanted to check it out

@@leo_hoang peter responded on his channel and he said it does have the overcharge protection, I sometimes forget about the charging and charge it overnight. Have you ever done that with the tricharge?
@JasonPierceOfficial I regularly leave things charging overnight… is that really bad of me? lol
I do need to setup a proper charging station somehow. lol
Does it have a plug?
It doesn’t come with an adapter, just a cable
So no CF type B cards?
Unfortunately not - but this is the “Sony” version and Sony don’t use CF-Express Type B, the ones specific for your camera brand may have Type B.

@@rogalaphotography I believe there is a Canon and Nikon version available now, if not, at least soon… check out on Jupio’s site… overall it’s a good product, minus the slight reservations I mentioned in the video

They missed a trick by not making it also a card reader.
It would have been great to have as a card reader - but he did explain it wasn't possible due to heat unfortunately... Will you be getting one?
@@leo_hoang Hi Leo, I did get one, but hadn't read the spec properly so thought as I saw cards going into the unit, it also read them, that's my fault though! It is useful as a charger, but I certainly wouldn't store cards in it, don't see the point in that. I am also having trouble getting it to charge from a power bank which was my plan for on location. It seems the fact it can itself be used as a power bank confuses external power banks. Any suggestions on that front welcome!
@@christerry2862 I can't see why the Tri-Charge would confuse the power source from the Power Bank/Wall Plug. I suspect you might be accidentally plugging into the wrong USB-C port. There's one on each side, one marked "In" and the other marked "Out". The "Out" would be so the Tri-Charge acts as a Power Bank itself, and then "In" to accept a power source. So if you connect a Power Bank into the "In" Port, I can't see why there would be an issue. If you are finding an issue, could be worth exploring further and letting Peter or Jupio know. What Power Bank are you using? I only own an Anker MagSafe Power Bank, I could try with this at some point but it's not a PD USB-C so it would be lower power output.
@@leo_hoang I don't understand it either. I am using the correct port and have tried the other to be sure. Powerbank is an Anker 737 and their site says (And my searching this seems to relate to any two-way charging equipment) : "If the USB C port of the laptop is a PD port, which can support two-way charging, it means it can either accept power or supply power via this port. While the USB C1 port in our power bank is also a two-way charging port. Therefore, when connecting the laptop to the power bank’s USB C1 port, both of them may get confused. If the powerbank wrongly recognizes the connected laptop as a power input source, then the UVP warning may appear"
