Thanks for the video. What is the minimum IPD for the Crystal? I see conflicting information on the Web.

@@michaellessard2011 the mechanical IPD (and auto IPD) goes between 58mm and 72mm and some further adjustments can be made by software.

Glad to see you again! Hopefully I'll get a new pymax headset someday. Still stuck with my og vive lol. I'm poor.

I am not exactly poor, but I also still use og VIVE as I cannot move away from OLED and lighthouse tracking. Might buy Pimax Crystal if SweViver keeps doing these nice promo videos and shows how this is better vs Bigscreen Beyond VR.

i am a HonsVR lens on Crystal. it is better than other brands which i also had. the distrotion is min. you possible need a 15mm facepad for HonsVR due to their slighter thicker than other brands len.

The new top strap accessory looks very promising, I might instant but it depending on the price.
Otherwise, I might mean towards the 3D printed forehead support (very PSVR look alike which is a good thing considering the great comfort it offered).

My biggest complaint about my 5K+ comfort (and it's "comfort" kit) is related to the nose piece.
Despite being absolutely necessary to avoid big light bleed, it hurts.
Either it is way too hard, or simply not rounded enough toward its edge (so that the fin edge wouldn't be in contact with the face), but everyone who used my headset heavily complained about that.

I wish pimax just made the crystal a PC headset without controllers and the battery then I would be intrested but maybe Pimax comes out with a PC only version someday ..:)

Even with the 15mm foam it still doesn't fit well. I love the crystal , just wish the frame for the face gasket was more narrow or a thicker foam on the sides of the eyes. I know there are ways to do this. They just don't feel very stable and this would be my only complaint about the crystal.

with a combination of the top strap and counter weights can this fit snug without the face part or plastic face part to basically have no face contact held only by my upper forehead. I use my quest 2 like that and 3rd party head strap to do that with comfort for a guy who gets acne easily and the face just gets so hot enclosed with no airflow otherwise. with my quest it works great for long sessions of just siting for enjoying SBS 3D moded flat screen games or casual viewing experiences. I also have the lights off in my room and have the headset still track with inferred lamps.
Im just wondering if my set up would translate to this more expensive heavier but desired upgrade to one of these sets and how compatible are these options with all models as I want to have local diming or oled and eye tracking may sway me around
