He's as cool as it gets. He thrives in the spotlight. Ended the season with a hic-up but he will be doing nasty things as a closer for yall. Sad to see him go, but it's the life we live as Brewer fans.
Brewer fan here. Williams walks a lot of people. He can have clean saves, but overall your on pins and needles most of his appearances. He also blew the playoffs for us. You can have him
After watching Chapman and Holmes for the better part of a decade, it’ll just be a continuation of the same style of closer. Enjoy Nestor, when he’s on, he’s a magician. This is a great trade on both ends.
You have not experienced “Pray Holmes”. Every time he went to the mound in a close situation you wanted to turn the TV off and find out what happened later. Dude had 13 blown saves in one season!!! And they kept running him out there hoping it would turn around. I welcome Devin Williams because I know he’s better than Holmes or Aroldis Chapman on his worst day.
I see the Yankees possibly trading for Eugenio Suarez and Jordan Montgomery. Arizona isn’t the biggest spender, they want to unload Monty after the owner admitted that signing him was a mistake. Suarez is a FA after this year. If you eat the Monty contract and take Suarez I can see Arizona not asking for much other than the relief of salary.
I love Devin but him and Clase struggled big time in the playoffs. Especially Emmanuel Clase. I’m glad we got Devin out of the NL Central and the Brewers got worse, as a Cubs fan, good day.
Typical response from 😂 delusional cubs fan. The Brewers have an elite bullpen even without Williams. We rule the N.L. Central, get used to finishing behind them again.
LOL He's never played. 3rd in his Life. It was a miracle that he hung in there as long as he did to end last season. No way. He's an elite CF and 2B. He could maybe hold on at 3rd. But he needs to be our starting 2B. Oswald Peraza can handle 3rd... if they don't get a 3B out in the market. I love Jazz at Second.
2:59 so you don’t hold it against him for the Alonso bomb but you hold it against Clase? Granted one bomb vs giving up Clase giving up more runs in the playoffs then he did all season. I’m still giving the best reliever title to Clase. Devin is in a different class/style but right behind him. Maybe Hader can get back to his ways and that would change the conversation
Haha...yeah they want back our garbage.Yanks blew it... U sign Tanner Scott keep Stud Durbin, use Nestor in the Bellinger package....now what. Gotta closer known to spit the bit in big playoff games...and no Durbin
@ I’m not sleeping on either of them just saying at face value Milwaukee should’ve gotten more. Especially given Nestor’s past season but I do trust the brewers - they seem to make the most out of anything they do
Dude Yankees aren't messing around. Yanks and Dodgers know you can't just throw money to win championships. Great move. Yankees pitching looking solid compared to 2 months ago. Imagine if you got Teo. Like Soto who??
The Dodgers? They’ve got everyone on deferred money contracts and bought the best two Japanese pitchers in the last 20 years. Bought Freddie Freeman, traded for Mookie because the Red Sox couldn’t afford him… and the Dodgers don’t throw money around to win championships?
So glad the Yankees missed out on Bobby Bonilla 2.
Welcome to the Bronx Devin Williams 💪🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾
If you don't perform, Devin, the Yankee fans will eat you alive. Don't forget that. But hey, it's only one year.

D. Williams stuff is nasty
Losing Durbin...big negative
Not signing Soto is a blessing. This coming from a Dodger fan
Agreed. I’m surprised we even made the WS with all the holes we had on the team. No way we get better with Soto on that deal

Thanx. We appreciate it.
Yankees do really well with bullpen guys.dont be surprised if he cuts the walks down and be lights out

@@derekwiley5585exactly . Besides power, Bullpen is normally a strength of ours
MONEY move. I'm surprised the market wasn't hotter for D-Will
I thought Mason Miller was the best this past season?
From a brewers fan he's a great pitcher but be ready for bases loaded or at least a couple men on base every single 9th inning
Agree, my comment was similar. The walks will be coming Yankee fans.
23.14 Postseason ERA. 27.00 in 2023 and 21.60 in 2024. Seems perfect for the Yankees. 🤣🤣
Especially with the low porch in right field 🤣🤣
He’s pitched in 3 games relax lol
I love my Yanks, but those aren’t encouraging numbers. lol. Also we won the pennant put some respect.

great get for NYY
not giving Devin Williams the nod over Treinen right now
I think an offseason of work could make Jazz an elite defender at 3b
I agree with the assessment that I’d rather have Chisholm play at 2B. Volpe and Chisholm up the middle would make for a very good combo.
if hes not too busy smoking weed in Miami

No on Bregman!

Todd's such a Yankee shill. 😆
Great move last season I just think Milwaukee just over used him. He’s a stud. ✊🏽🏆☑️
This is a great move for yankees!
We have to wait and see who is the real winner of Soto signing.
I’d rather keep jazz at third base I feel like his strong arm would be a waste at second base
I see Stroman going in a package for Bellinger.
Maybe. Bellinger is excellent defender, which the Yankees are desperate for, but his bat is very streaky.
Would the Cubs want Stroman back?
Haha...yeah they want back our garbage.Yanks blew it...
U sign Tanner Scott keep Stud Durbin, use Nestor in the Bellinger package....now what.
Gotta closer known to spit the bit in big playoff games...and no Durbin
How is this all Devin Williams netted? Do all-star closers grown on trees & just not worth anything anymore?
maybe bc its only 1 yr of Williams
Don't sleep on Nestor and this Durbin kid may turn out to be very good
@ I’m not sleeping on either of them just saying at face value Milwaukee should’ve gotten more. Especially given Nestor’s past season but I do trust the brewers - they seem to make the most out of anything they do
1 year left plus he’s a certified playoff choker
The Rich get Richer.

Nice Holmes replacement where did he go again?
Boras dicked over cashman and Hal and they have fully embraced the dark side and have gone into “fuck you” mode. Wish they were like this more often
@@MrMetFanSC fyi Holmes was one blown save short of setting the FRANCHISE RECORD for blown saves. Have fun with that as a starter lol

The Dodgers basically bought all of MLB to get to the World Series.
AJ not here to hate on another move? Yankee fans cope levels are off the charts
Whether he's trying to or not he's throwing a screwball, not a changeup.
