"Leaving Earth" is just one of the most powerful songs I feel in the whole soundtrack. Every ounce of it firmly displays what we are as a race, as humanity in its entirety. It shows our fight with the reapers is neverending (with the powerful orchestra hits coming in at random) but even through that we stay strong. Even through the heat of everything, of fire, of death, of chaos, we still have one thing, one thing that makes humanity stronger than any other race or robot or being or ANYTHING, and that one thing is simple. Hope. In those three notes, you hear the hope of every human in the galaxy, pining together, striving to a greater purpose, and you can feel it grow, and build, as the track moves on, as we band together against unstoppable odds. That little speck of hope grows into something beyond formidable, and the Reapers, and everyone else, realize we are NOT a force to be reckoned with.
Mass Effect was the most emotionally taxing game that i have ever played and to this day i cant get over how many memories and emotions purely listening to the music brings back to me, i hope they do mass effect justice with the andromeda trilogy and so on, it will be hard to top mass effect and there will never be another, but i hope they make it at least as good and as diverse as this.
Nothing can truly recreate the sound of Leaving Earth. The somber piano, matched with the instruments at the end...goosebumps every time. Mass effect 3 was also my first game on headphones, and the sound being right there was just unforgettable.
OK, so I played 3, then 2&3, now I'm just about to finish the trilogy. I'm really happy with the choices I made. No one died in 2 for me (had Jack die once), romanced Liara and Garrus. Loved all of the games so much. Was emotional though, especially back on earth

I remember first time playing the Sur'Kesh mission. Running through thw whole complex, rolling through Cerberus scum, all to save the Krogan and all with this intense theme in the background. Great experience.
A franchise that states clearly to the modern man; video games can become more than entertainment, figure the son of a move and a literal publication, you get to learn about a certain history while BEING part of the developing narrative, that in which YOU hold a certain power in. Mass effect is a true work of art.
The number of times I deliberately prolonged that battle with a reaper 1vs1(Rannoch) just in order to enjoy that epic part where Shep singlehandedly kills a huge reaper monster... And later daydreaming about making a house with Tali :D

Don't know what is peeps' problem with its endings, each one can be moving, each contains hero's sacrifice, none is a truly happy ending - that's what makes it special. Black and white endings became somewhat... i don't know, common maybe?

i wonder if illusive man is really that bad, he complimented shepard when he saved the council in me 1 and gave shepard free will in me 2 because he knew shepard actions were flaweless, they do attack sometimes other races but they believe its to protect humanity

An End, Once and For All makes me cry like a baby and I´m proud to say it. I loved the characters in the ME triology. I actually felt sad every time a character died.

Leaving Earth.... man that is a great tune on its own... but combine it with that scene in the game and it's just such a prefect way of putting it. That scene would be talked about so much more and for years to come if it were in a a film. Alas much of the mass media still doesn't regard games in the same league. Which is a real shame because The Mass Effect games have shown that sometimes games can not only match film but also surpass it.

As far as how much I love Mass Effect 2's soundtrack, I think the music in that game feels very streamlined with a very specific pattern. Almost every track is bombastic that makes a few characters' theme songs hard to be distinguished from one another. ME3's music sounds a lot more diverse and very easy to be coordinated with certain scenes in the game. Really love it for that.
Leaving earth Gives me damn chills. An emotional pull from the game. Makes me want to play it again. The story was so rich and detailed and the gameplay proved it self over and over. I was emotionally attached to the characters and was truely upset when the game was over. Though rumors if not fact is spread about four. I can only hope it's as good if not better. Awesome ending wich went over everyones head because they were to focussed on wether their choices mattered or not. In the end it was about Sheppard's heroic sacrifice, nothing else mattered. Those last few desperate steps you take while everything around him her vaporizes are unforgettable.
One of the best 3 RPGs ever made ! It can make you cry and it has a lot of messages, the story is great. IF YOU HAVE NOT played it yet - you missed a great experience
Used my winter vacation to replay the whole thing. Priority Earth overhaul and Expanded galaxy are a must mods; took me 50h to beat ME3, I released tears on every conversation during the last mission when you kind of say goodbye to everyone. Such a masterpiece.. P.S. Thx EA for destroying BioWare
So I have noticed Aralakh Company play during DMC's truck scape. I wonder if anyone else has noticed that. Also, an excerpt of The Fleets Arrive played during one of History's The World Wars episodes. I'm pretty sure I have heard more OST tracks on other shows as well. Great OST, indeed. I don't know if anyone reads this years afterwards, but I'm writing it anyways: In the Mass Effect - games there are these very advanced and destructive machines called Reapers whose job is to drive advanced civilizations into ruin and extinction. As the games are made by people, all the entities in the games symbolize events in our world and symbols of humanity. The Reapers represent our curiosity. You may remember that curiosity made Eve eat from the forbidden tree in the paradise. That same curiosity lead to the creation of slaughter on an industrialized scale in both world wars, the concentration camps, chemical weapons and even nuclear arms. Curiosity leads to dangerous and destructive ideas and inventions. The story of the franchise is a story of how never before seen technological development will lead to prosperity but also cause great suffering. In the games the mass effect drives allow movement across the galaxy very quickly leading to strong empires, trade and prosperity. The same technology will be exploited by The Reapers to kill untold amounts of people and ruin the empires benefiting from their technology. In our world the development of technology lead to a massive increase in crops and standard of living, intercontinental flight, internet and supermarkets but also caused all of the world's most destructive wars, probably a huge ecological disaster and a virtual panopticon, surveillance state and corporate domination of politics. The games are a very beautiful and profound representation of people, we have our great ideas but end up doing more harm than good with them.
epic absolutely epic. The ME trilogy has some of the best music made for a videogame it has nothing to envy to film scores. And ME3 didn't deserve the criticism it got for it's finale. It's a very "dark" game but it's a great game.

I really enjoyed everything about the Mass Effect series from one to three. My only true complaint is the restriction of "exploration" after each release; however; I DO still think the games were really amazing. I heard they're bringing back the Mako and free exploration in ME4, similar to what ME1 did. (You know, you can run around pretty much everywhere in the Citadel, and you can explore planets on the mako.)
As fun as that was, it really wasn't as good as people say, most of the drivable environments were boring. In ME2 they had the sledgehammer hover craft, though that was only for one set of quests. Still more fun than the Mako though.
They should have a director like Abram turn the Mass Effect games into a movie franchise. I want more people to experience mass effect. If done right, a mass effect franchise would shit on movies like star wars (not saying that star wars is bad at all)
I wouldn´t mind Commander Shepard in ME Andromeda. He was for me the only hero in this game, with out him... i don´t know, how will I enjoy the game. This game gave us feelings about story....That doesnt exist in real life.Thanks to this game i know, that we are (as people) strong tohether no matter what . For me it is sad, cuz know´n this guy personally... that would be the biggest honor to serve with him. This game amazed me so much! applause for producers!!
I came here hoping to find the song that you hear when the Normandy appears for the first time in the game, when you're about to leave the Earth. With a little of search, I found out that the song is from ME 2 and it's called "The Normandy Reborn". When I hear that song, I get chills all over my body, everytime, I can't really help it ... Holy shit. That aside, this OST is really amazing, it almost pays off for the bad ending.

Used my winter vacation to replay the whole thing. Priority Earth overhaul and Expanded galaxy are a must mods; took me 50h to beat ME3, I released tears on every conversation during the last mission when you kind of say goodbye to everyone. Such a masterpiece..

So I have noticed Aralakh Company play during DMC's truck scape. I wonder if anyone else has noticed that. Also, an excerpt of The Fleets Arrive played during one of History's The World Wars episodes. I'm pretty sure I have heard more OST tracks on other shows as well.

I don't know if anyone reads this years afterwards, but I'm writing it anyways:
In the Mass Effect - games there are these very advanced and destructive machines called Reapers whose job is to drive advanced civilizations into ruin and extinction. As the games are made by people, all the entities in the games symbolize events in our world and symbols of humanity. The Reapers represent our curiosity. You may remember that curiosity made Eve eat from the forbidden tree in the paradise. That same curiosity lead to the creation of slaughter on an industrialized scale in both world wars, the concentration camps, chemical weapons and even nuclear arms. Curiosity leads to dangerous and destructive ideas and inventions. The story of the franchise is a story of how never before seen technological development will lead to prosperity but also cause great suffering. In the games the mass effect drives allow movement across the galaxy very quickly leading to strong empires, trade and prosperity. The same technology will be exploited by The Reapers to kill untold amounts of people and ruin the empires benefiting from their technology. In our world the development of technology lead to a massive increase in crops and standard of living, intercontinental flight, internet and supermarkets but also caused all of the world's most destructive wars, probably a huge ecological disaster and a virtual panopticon, surveillance state and corporate domination of politics. The games are a very beautiful and profound representation of people, we have our great ideas but end up doing more harm than good with them.
epic absolutely epic. The ME trilogy has some of the best music made for a videogame it has nothing to envy to film scores. And ME3 didn't deserve the criticism it got for it's finale. It's a very "dark" game but it's a great game.

I really enjoyed everything about the Mass Effect series from one to three. My only true complaint is the restriction of "exploration" after each release; however; I DO still think the games were really amazing.
I heard they're bringing back the Mako and free exploration in ME4, similar to what ME1 did. (You know, you can run around pretty much everywhere in the Citadel, and you can explore planets on the mako.)
As fun as that was, it really wasn't as good as people say, most of the drivable environments were boring. In ME2 they had the sledgehammer hover craft, though that was only for one set of quests. Still more fun than the Mako though.
Best soundtracks in the world!!! That's all I can say...

They should have a director like Abram turn the Mass Effect games into a movie franchise. I want more people to experience mass effect. If done right, a mass effect franchise would shit on movies like star wars (not saying that star wars is bad at all)

Hammer Spiel, Die Story ist unglaublich, kann man immer wieder spielen. Der Soundtrack ist einer mit der besten.
I wouldn´t mind Commander Shepard in ME Andromeda. He was for me the only hero in this game, with out him... i don´t know, how will I enjoy the game. This game gave us feelings about story....That doesnt exist in real life.Thanks to this game i know, that we are (as people) strong tohether no matter what . For me it is sad, cuz know´n this guy personally... that would be the biggest honor to serve with him. This game amazed me so much! applause for producers!!
I came here hoping to find the song that you hear when the Normandy appears for the first time in the game, when you're about to leave the Earth.
With a little of search, I found out that the song is from ME 2 and it's called "The Normandy Reborn".
When I hear that song, I get chills all over my body, everytime, I can't really help it ... Holy shit.
That aside, this OST is really amazing, it almost pays off for the bad ending.
When that Vent kid died, I was so happy....when that Vent kid kept showing up in Shepards dreams, I was so pissed!
