@Brian Cairns dont get me wrong, the problem is not style difference from the classic. i have a sideshow skeletor, style couldnt be more different, but is incredible. problem is simply the design choice. the whole shape of the head is just awfull, the face is ugly and he man's iconic hairdo just makes the head even uglier. his arms, torso and legs all look like parts of different figures. legs are too thin, the torso doesnt have a V shape, it is more... round and cilindar shaped at the same time, which makes the shoulders look terrible and arms somehow out of place. honestly shaped like a frog almost. the whole body mold is awfull. accessories, clothes are really damn good. ofcourse, if you love the figure, let no one force their opinion on you.
He's truly a beautiful figure! I have the exclusive but I love the regular head the most... so perfect. My favourite thing is to pose him holding up the gun, mouth gaping open, head tilted to the side, as he tries to comprehend what is and what he's supposed to do with it. It's his Ariel moment... #TheLittleMerMan 😉

LOL Mer-mans armor is pretty cool, perhaps there's a story behind that, maybe there was a battle mer -man refurbished the armor as a Display of Power and intimidation showing his strength. ! I'm a 45 year old adult and Mer-man was my very first Masters of the Universe action figure so I have a special place for him in my heart. love that fishy little dude!✌

KING HISSS🐍 1/6 is definitely must have for future also.
This looks very good and probably the best they've done so far, love to see a Beast Man and some ladies. But that sudden and hyper-exclusive Scareglow that I missed pissed me off enough that I'm not going to be collecting any of these, as a completest I just can't get into something with such a high chance of missing something that becomes unobtainable simply because I didn't get to the order button fast enough. But they are definitely badass for the people willing to play the game.
the design is strongly influenced by the first drafts from Mark Taylor. if you compare the early drawings, it‘s pretty similar😀 from the armor, to the trunks and the small little roped hanging from his belt and the design of the boots💪🏽 great piece!
@Pixel Dan I like the figure, but in your comparisons with the Classics' looks haven't you notice, or forgotten that this look on Merman screams 2002 MOTU Merman? I can understand that it seems they took liberties, but I believe that they improved a bit on the 2002 versions, although those were even BETTER than the Classics Line in Design anyway. I just wanted to point that out since it seemed that you didn't include the 2002 line much as part of the description when it is clear that it looks like this great designs took almost all its cues from the 2002. Love your vids still :)
What's happened to Mondo motu 1/6 SCALE figures Line, has it been Cancelled since the (Mondo Head Director) brock otter Left the Company. I'd hate to find out they've Cancelled 1/6 SCALE Mondo motu line Just cus he's left🤔
It's absolutely beautiful! (Don't tell my wife I said that.) What? No comparison with other versions of Mer-Man? It's a little hard to picture the size without comparisons. This size might be great for characters like Tytus, Megator, Procrustus, and other giants.
I wish they would have started this line sooner. So many great characters to do :) I'm wondering how they will turn this dude into Stinkor. 160 for this dude is nothing compared to Hot Toys stuff. Its a steal. I wish Mondo would finish their TMNT stuff.
Mondo really nailed this figure. It's a shame that He-Man and Skeletor came out the way they did (head sculpts on both, He-Man's costume giving him really odd proportions), with Mer-Man and Man At Arms looking as incredible as they do.
The Mondo exclusive version comes with a third alternative head. It's available at Mondoshop.com, and it costs a little more. It also comes with a spear with the Crimson Pearl.
Mer-Man and Man-At-Arms just look like they are on another level compared to the other four releases. This is a beautiful, brilliant figure.

The default head and the body looks like something from a live action version of the 2000 X series.
He DID occasionally wield a blaster and a generic silver/grey sword in the Filmation cartoon.
