I watched a scene kid snort coke out of his fingernail while seeing machine girl live in Detroit. Same kid punched me in the face, but later when offered to scream into the microphone we did it together. I didn’t even care. Very fond memory of mine.
What club did you see them at in Detroit. Only ones I could think of off hand are Harpo's and St Andrew's. Most clubs and venues are outside the city in the burbs. Odds are the dope the scene kid snorted was most likely heroin. You can't trust people's dope at shows, usually they don't know what it really is. One friendly snort could turn you into a junkie or kill you. It really could've been anything. Coke isn't the only dope that comes in powder. There's K, GHB and bottom of the bag meth. I'm from Detroit and got a Detroit buddy that's been in Texas for like 17yrs. I went down there barhopping with him one day. It went like this: Bud: I got coke Me: From where? Bud: Some Mexican guy in the bathroom Me: You know him? Bud: No Me: That could be anything. It's probably drywall and he's catching drunks in the bathroom. He'd get fake hydro weed that didn't get you stoned. I told him weed is legal in Michigan now. I was spoiled on real DROS because everyone competes with the dispensaries. Told him he thinks he's getting high and he been out of the loop so long he doesn't know what real drugs were, more than likely it's atleast 3rd generation clone that lost its THC. People in Texas really don't know any better and think they're ghetto country thugs. All the real drugs are back home. He said he had a problem with gangs back home. I said they don't know who tf you are and people grew up, dead, prison and have better things to do.

I saw Machine Girl play this album in a basement, during the last song I got knocked backwards onto a couch and before I could get up they climbed onto the couch and stood over me, screaming the words directly at my face. I came buckets.
Really liking the way low sounds are used on this album. The drums and bass all have this sort of dark bounce to them that makes every beat sound absolutely, Earth-shatteringly massive. On most electronic albums that have pretty much ever been released, it somehow seems like the lower frequencies have been toned down compared to this; they don’t have nearly the same hard-hitting quality that this album does. It’s pretty sweet.
That’s true, but in my ears, the bass on this album has a unique sound that I don’t hear in most other areas of electronic music. All the percussion somehow seems a lot more hard-hitting and bombastic than most stuff I’ve heard.
39:09 is a sample from Plantasia by Mort Garson. Definitely not the same kind of music but one of my favorites. The part sampled is a little section from the song "Symphony For A Spider Plant"

Machine Girl as a whole made me want to keep living
I’m just a teen girl who just got off watching Foamy the Squirrel onnewgrounds.com while signing a bring back Invader Zim petition wearing a Jack Skellington hoodie and Happy Tree Friends tube socks purchased from Hot Topic during an Emily the Strange buy one get one fifty percent off sale, where I discovered Serenity Rose from slave labor graphics comics while my overbearing but loving father restricts me from going to the My Chemical Romance/Limp Bizkit concert with my five years older than me boyfriend that constantly IMs unsourced stolen Ponzi comic art over 56k modem American Online trial disks onmyspace.com with a top-eight consisting of Tim Burton, Jack Sparrow, Eminem, Jesus Christ and whatever angsty band is the hit new thing on Disney Adventures magazine and spending all day filling out "What Kingdom Hearts Character Are You?" quizzes only to complain cause I didn't get Riku and I’m unable to watch the 2003 MTV Music Awards because my deadbeat older brother is always hogging the living room TV playing Tony Hawk's Underground on his Halo Edition transparent green Xbox using a third-party Mad-Catz air flow controller with a busted analog stick constantly leaning to the right making anti-semitic remarks on how Eric stole his Wicked McTwist over the helicopter in Hawaii footage when suddenly Machine Girl puts out a new album and now I sit here squeezing my Gir plush, listening to this album, and letting all my problems fade away. ❤️Thank you Machine Girl❤️
confused sarcastic reply. am I doing this right?

This is my fav album along with U-Void Synthesizer
please come to Brazil
Gosto de cheirar muito ouvindo mg :)
This music more than gets me
Ebony sameeee
This album made my body melt away into a nothingness and forced my brain into a particle accelerator so that scientists could properly observe the effects that it has on a mere mortal mind that is unable to fathom this chaotic and otherworldly masterpiece.
Fuck systemspace, Tsuki is gay.

Never knew Skullboy was going to get a release on an album. Got so excited when I heard that, brings me back. This release made my week, whole album is quite unique
This is some pretty not ugly art tbh, love it.
For me its like a government or organization there's dogs that all make up the big dog
DOG BLESS
But good thing its not dog piss
@@mothersmen7112 dog piss is not bad.
Machine Girl.
my heart is clouded and full of hate
and your ugly art brings me a little solace
thank you
i fucking love machine girl
I would have never thought to ever come across something even remotely close to Death Grips.
Check out the WLFGRL album, I fell in love woth Machine Girl and now like them way more than Death Grips, but i still like DG
@@gryaznygreeb That's how I got to know MG in the first place. Great Album. Thanks for the tip anyway! ;-)
This album is better than any Death Grips release and Ive been listening to them since ExMilitary.
You should give NAH a chance
dantes245 bottles pit is the closest sounding in my opinion and is also better. I like the instrumentals better on this though but I think mc ride really makes it better in my opinion. Machine girl death grips colab like they did with bjork would be fucking awesome
12:30 til the end of that track just slaughterd me. I'm dead dog.
What a disgusting breakdown, I didn't even know that was a thing in this genre
machinegirl is the soundtrack to my mania
0:00 - 01 - This is your face on dogs
22:34 - 09 - Psycho Signal Jammer
25:00 - 10 - Loop Version
29:44 - 12 - Fuck Your Guns
33:36 - 13 - NWOFKA Skullboy
36:41 - 14 - Full Metal Dipshit
Whenever I listen to this I can't help thinking about Nick Land
And here I am
necroculture vulture is the best one imo
MG FOREVER
I dig it. I hear some hardcore techno, Atari Teenage Riot, and industrial music influences in this.
Am so happy right now
Yo who say them live at the LoFi last night. Such a sick night. Seeing them live was such an incredible experience.
That melody at the end of necroculture vulture sounds exactly like [G!RLM_CH!NE].vs.[G!RLM_CH!NE]
2nd favorite album of all time. Unbelievably good shit, and deserves more recognition.
Which one is your 1st favorite then?
@@anikanamisu2456 High Violet by The National, because it was the reason I ever seriously got into music. It's a pretty far cry from this lol
@@innocentbystander1993 Oh, okay!! Even if it's a far cry I'll be sure to check it out haha, everyone who likes Machine Girl automatically has good taste
Machine Girl makez me wanna get higher and worse in the bezt way possible
The best workout music 🏋️♀️
Also reminds me of Atari Teenage Riot
machin girl suena en argentina tambien loco!!!! aguante el r4v3!!!
Acá también vaaamoosssss
The intro to Kill Screen sounds like the music you'd hear in the back of a drug PSA.
I almost called this album World of Dogs today
'A song called Clive barker'! Is a true vision of the future man!
....- While driving my starship 1046km/h -
One of the best albums of 2018 by far. I hope you know this.
I should be going to bed, but instead I'm listening to this.
coming back to this album and wlfgrl all these years later is crazy, i cant believe it took me so long to realize I was a therian. But those barriers have also been held back by trauma. Funnily enough I got my wlfgrl longsleeve from the bandcamp merch store while i was staying in inpatient, trying not to end it. Thank you for subconsciously providing me the dog energy I need
This sounds like the bastard offspring of Atari Teenage Riot and an exercise DVD. Love it!
The beginning of Roach on Dope (20:20) is sampled from the video You and Me, Man by Justin Kuritzkes. Came across Justin recently, and when I heard this line, I spent the last 30 minutes trying to find where I knew it from. LMAO
Heres the link to the video its from...
