  • The history of Israel is rich and complex, spanning thousands of years and involving numerous civilizations, conflicts, and cultural developments. Here is an overview of key periods and events in the history of Israel:
    * Ancient Israelite Period: This period begins with the emergence of ancient Israelite tribes in the region of Canaan (modern-day Israel, Palestine, and parts of surrounding areas) around the 13th century BCE. The Israelites established a presence in the land and formed tribal confederations.
    * United Monarchy: In the 10th century BCE, under King David and his son Solomon, the Israelite tribes united to form the United Monarchy. Jerusalem became the capital, and the First Temple was built. This period is depicted in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) and is considered the height of ancient Israel's power and influence.
    * Divided Monarchy: After Solomon's reign, the kingdom split into the northern Kingdom of Israel (comprising ten tribes) and the southern Kingdom of Judah (comprising two tribes). This division weakened Israel, and both kingdoms faced invasions and conflicts with neighboring powers.
    * Assyrian and Babylonian Exile: In the 8th and 6th centuries BCE, the Assyrian and Babylonian Empires conquered the Kingdom of Israel and exiled many Israelites. Jerusalem was destroyed, and the First Temple was razed during the Babylonian conquest. This period marked a significant upheaval in Israelite society and religious beliefs.
    * Persian and Hellenistic Periods: The Persian Empire conquered Babylon and allowed Jewish exiles to return to Judah and rebuild Jerusalem and the Second Temple. In the 4th century BCE, the region came under the control of Alexander the Great and his successors, ushering in the Hellenistic period.
    * Maccabean Revolt and Hasmonean Dynasty: In the 2nd century BCE, the Jewish Maccabees revolted against the Seleucid Empire, leading to the establishment of the Hasmonean Kingdom. This period saw Jewish independence and the expansion of Judea's borders.
    * Roman Rule and Jewish Revolts: In 63 BCE, the Roman Empire conquered Judea, leading to a period of Roman rule and heavy taxation. Several Jewish revolts against Roman rule occurred, including the Great Jewish Revolt (66-73 CE) and the Bar Kokhba Revolt (132-135 CE), both of which were brutally suppressed by the Romans.
    * Byzantine Period: After the Roman Empire converted to Christianity, the region became part of the Byzantine Empire. Christianity spread, and Jerusalem became a significant Christian center, with churches built on many holy sites.
    * Islamic Conquest and Crusades: In the 7th century CE, Arab Muslim armies conquered the region, bringing Islam to the area. Jerusalem became a holy city in Islam. The Crusades saw European Christian attempts to recapture Jerusalem, leading to centuries of conflict.
    * Ottoman Rule: From the 16th to the early 20th century, the Ottoman Empire ruled over the region. During this period, Jewish communities began to resettle in the land, laying the groundwork for the Zionist movement.
    * Zionist Movement and British Mandate: The late 19th and early 20th centuries saw the rise of Zionism, a movement advocating for a Jewish homeland in Palestine. After World War I, the League of Nations granted Britain a mandate over Palestine, which included present-day Israel.
    * Independence and Statehood: Following World War II and the Holocaust, the United Nations approved a plan to partition Palestine into Jewish and Arab states. On May 14, 1948, Israel declared independence, leading to a war with neighboring Arab states.
    * Arab-Israeli Conflicts: Since its establishment, Israel has been involved in multiple wars and conflicts with its Arab neighbors, including the Arab-Israeli War of 1948, the Six-Day War (1967), the Yom Kippur War (1973), and others. These conflicts have shaped the geopolitics of the region and influenced Israeli society.
    * Peace Process and Settlements: In recent decades, Israel has engaged in peace negotiations with the Palestinians and neighboring Arab countries. However, efforts to achieve a lasting peace settlement have been challenging due to issues such as borders, refugees, settlements, and the status of Jerusalem.
    * Modern Israel: Today, Israel is a vibrant and diverse nation with a thriving economy, advanced technology sector, and rich cultural heritage. It continues to navigate complex geopolitical challenges while striving for peace and security in the region.

    Being honestly practical ...
The land was passed in the hands of *judah* people. Palestine was never there.
Of course peace is important. Palestine formed not long ago after israel but both should have equal space. Intead of fighting! Israelies jews should clear some space for palestonians
