I just found your channel and followed .:) love your vibes! I ate Joy's a few weeks ago haha! The thing is, the owners are 100% trini who immigrated to the USA and they use ingredients imported from caribbean - so yep, it's 100% authentic Trinidadian food! Joy's is definitely a must for me, they're consistent and they have fetes and limes all the time! Same "trinis to d bone" , different location. Just like back on the island, not all restaurants/doubles vendors can cook, the same applies here in the USA, some are HITS, others are MISSES. Enjoy your trip in one the most beautiful states :) PS: there was a street named after the husband (who passed) of Joy's ; you can google it, beautiful story. They've been flying the Trinibago flag high here in the USA for many years...
Joy's is probably the most known Roti shop in South Florida, the swap shop is a flea market but you could almost find anything there back in the days they use to have a free Circus
