It appears from the history of black africans on the continent that being together has not been the best thing - site anytime in the history if the continent that there was total unity from east, north, south, west and central 😢
Black Americans need to be more assertive in these discussions in America. There is a reason that Africans are here and you are not there. Be proud of your black American heritage. You have a glorious history of struggle and achievement. And again the Africans have come to your country and not the other way around
This is a great discussion and I appreciate all your input however let’s not be judgmental or making conclusions about things. The world is best observed from a grey area. We all have different experiences and our life journey is at different stages. If someone wants to wear Dishiki or name their child an African name it’s okay that’s where they’re and growing. Let’s be a little forgiving. I hear neocolonialism and slavery mind still alive in us. Keep talking and learning. Thx
@romeooscar2923 what your hearing is Indoctrination of Americans being taught they are some random africans. The amount of people naming their kid some random african name is minute. But the amount of africans who change their name when they get here is amazing, and their children actually believe they are American and sometimes they think they are white lol

I hate that conversations like this never go viral.
It’s unfortunate for sure. But you can help us get one step closer by hitting the like button! 🙏🏾
