man! i love lobby cards, mat ads et al! this felt like the shortest video cuz i can look at lobby cards for hours. used to collect mat ads when i was a kid. i remember making an art object out of them when i was in elementary school (the ad for Rollerball was made most prominent). i think the GRIZZLY lobby card looks great. but hell, i'm a fan of girdler's flicks & Grizzly holds a special place in my heart. looking forward to the next vid!
Some of the best lobby cards were for the kung fu flicks. A lot of them were quite bloody and really drew you in, not only on 42nd Street but in that big main theater that used to be right off the Manhattan bridge by Canal Street, who used to show triple features all the time. You have some great stuff there!
I remember as a kid my buddy and I would go to the RKO Coliseum Theater (181 Street and Broadway NYC) the night they changed the marquee and ask for the posters and lobby cards. They would never give them to us.🤦♂️
They used to have to return them to a distributor back then. I started collecting stuff in the late 60's and only a few people were selling this kind of stuff.

while waiting in line to get into the theater the pictures in the lobby would always pique my interest in upcoming movies when I was a kid.
