I think the lite is better than the normal switch because it gives me the feel of a 3ds (a hand held). I’m a Pokemon fan so I don’t really need the tv mode and the lite is more comfortable to use in hand held. The smaller screen doesn’t bother me because my 3ds xl was smaller that the lite and I still loved that thing to pieces, literary it broke and I was sad.
For those who already have a pc/ps/xbox and they just want to play the nintendo exclusives, this thing is worth it. But if you reaaaally want the motion control-based games (or if you have actual money), buy the normal switch (or buy joycons for the lite but trust me, it's not worth it)
"The actual money" 300 dollars is not a lot, but still the switch lite gives you more of a portable experience. Me personally I prefer the regular switch.
Gauths88 :) also you might not need to get ur wife a switch because one normal one is enough for the whole family but ur child might need a switch lite (you can get one switch and share the joy cons and play with you and ur wife and you can use ur switch lite for local play like it’s another controller)

And the drift can be easily fixed with rubbing alcohol and compressed air.

Honestly love the take on the Nintendo lite as someone who plays console and PC I find it super unreasonable to spend $300 + games and an SD card. Plus I’d only play on the go. So this is awesome and I can’t wait to pick one up.
