I like this kind of content for Shot Show. Too many UA-camrs fancy themselves engaging interviewers when they aren't and many booth representatives may be very technically informed or media inclined, but a lot of the time they aren't both. I'm more than happy to watch what amounts to B-roll and an informed personality I trust give me the summary.
Agreed, I have seen several shot show interviews where the person didn’t know what parts of the gun were called and sounded and looked like news people who were trying to recall their lines that they were taught! It’s so odd.
I've long daydreamed about a pic rail-mounted suppressor but wondered how it would work with tilting barrels and breaking internal seals. I'm glad someone tackled it, but damn, that thing is Huge.
@@kylehenline3245 Yeah, the Maxim likeness came immediately to mind, though that one minus a module or two you could foreseeably carry with a generous holster. Between it and the Osprey suppressor, I imagine there's a bit more in common with offset expansion chambers for working principle.
Under full auto fire I've seen some reports of melted p mags, but ultimately not really an issue. It may foul a few of the rounds in the magazine but they are going to be fired next anyways.
@@joootooobboosheet2486 the looks of the all chrome one sees to be the safest, SOTAR made note of the aggressive surface finish and burrs on the sand cuts. give us a an all slick no forward assist down vent
You never heard of Barnett?? I still have my Commando break action from James Bond movie----these new ones look awesome----bottom load magazine and break cocking----they really need a pump
Does venting into the magwell not cause fouling and other potential issues with the magazine? I am all about reducing potential hearing damage any way possible but kinda seems too good to not have a trade off.
have a lot of rounds through my kak bcg and it is noticeably quieter than a standard bolt, but not really a huge difference. polo k, riflespeed gas block, and the k spec bcg makes for a very quiet 556
No one is talking about how you unload the keltech pr57. Could stop by there for that quick question. If its just racking the slide, then its a dumb idea. But kinda hoping theres a quicker way to unload to make range safe/cold.
1 question... WHY would you vent the gas Down into the lower receiver???!!! That is the 2nd one from SHT SHO that claims to do this... I don't know about anyone else but I don't like pulling the fire control group to clean it...unless Absolutely necessary.
Big Bore calibers are actually pretty easy to suppress lmao you obviously don't know much about suppressors because the more volume the better, I mean why do you think the Big Bore calibers are hot right now
Too bad the barrels won’t last more than a thousand rounds before being annihilated by sheer heat and friction. Unless they are using some next gen technology to reduce or prevent that we probably won’t have to worry about hypersonic ammunition rendering most current body armor obsolete, at least for another decade or two maybe. Then I’m sure some kind of graphene body armor will be on the market and that will maybe counter a round like this better.
@ any high speed round is a barrel burner for sure but they’re so easy to swap these days. That round with a hardened core will pen anything on the market, guaranteed. Even without. Remember the M193 out of a 20” has crazy penetration. Speed defeats armour.
I'd really like to see testing with the KAK 1:5 twist barrels. Particularly answers to these questions. 1. How does 77 grain perform at distance out of the 1:5? Accuracy and in ballistics gel 2. What happens with M193 up close and at distance with the 1:5 barrels? Accuracy and ballistics gel I'd love to run 77 grain all the time, but I keep losing that argument with my bank account. With the bolt that has the downward facing gas ports, does it give that 7db benefit on 5.56 and 300blk? How does barrel length factor into that? Thank You
I'm gonna guess 7dB is the best case scenario from a well tuned gun with minimal excess gas coming out of the ports. Still, reducing any significant POP sounds coming from a rifle is a good thing. Even if it only resulted in a 3dB reduction on a heavily gassed gun, I'd still call it worth it assuming there are no significant downsides to dumping all that heat and crud down into a magazine full of ammo. I guess it's time to look up some reviews. I love the idea. Hope it's as good as it seems.
I would like to know if/when cproducts/duramag are going to be releasing (larger than 10) round AR magazines for the 400 legend? If you could find that out, I'd love to hear what they say.
I just wanted to say how good of a company XS sights are. I got sights for my Glock 47. And it didn’t have front sight screws, and I thought I could use the Glocks ones, but couldn’t. I emailed XS sights and they were to send me screws put I got a email they are sending me a whole new front sights
The K spec down vent Bcg , from a few individuals that have tried w shhhh it devices said they work really well. Their site demonstrates what damage / issues that can occur in particular to polymer mags due increased heat and other than a little more carbon in the mag doesn’t seem to effect performance at all. Time will tell…
If YOU think something is cool, record and it let us know your thoughts. I trust your judgement, hence the subscription. I would enjoy seeing a conversation with the ATF about any planned changes in direction.
Yeah, but I find Warhammer Fantasy to be a way more compelling setting than Warhammer 40K. I have to check myself against what other people think is cool too.
I have a Request Could you swing by PSA Booth and ask someone important there if they could release their 570 with set of chokes including rifled one specially for exports or spare rifled barrel I. The box In America it may not sell, but I'm sure 570 will get get imported to Europe and due to legal reasons getting something like rifled choke or extra rifled barrel to your shotgun is huge pain in the ass Procuring spare parts is expensive and barrels often times are considered firearms on its own Getting one firearm with two barrels from factory on 1 permit slot isnt an issue Thank you
KAK downward vent carrier is nice for DB reduction but it craps all over your FCG and into your mags, and I believe it also causes excessive heat to be redirected into your receiver but I'd be interested to see a side by side comparison through thermals if you have the capability... Either way, I love what they're doing as a company.
Blowing gasses back into the magwell sounds like a lot more fouling on the magazine that would otherwise never happen... I clean my mags about once for every 10 times I clean my guns. Am I wrong or am I on to something here? I get the advantage is cool and all but isn't that a bit damaging potentially to the magazine itself?

I’m a little concerned about that suppressor, how is it supposed to work without an actual seal to the barrel? Don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a cool idea, I just don’t know how well it’s going to work

3:04 if you're here for the suppressor from the thumbnail

Hey! It's not AI slop!
3:08 The FD suppressor makes it look like the Dominator from Psycho Pass.

The KGM FD suppressor on that HK VP9 gives off Halo ODST M6C/SOCOM silenced pistol vibes. 😎

I’m still just trying to figure out if James was joking when he said he’d never heard of Barnett…
@ I mean, you’d think he would have
The KGM FD silencer looks cool, I only worry about it drooping and getting baffle strikes because it's attached to a plastic rail.
Seems like it would be much more suited on a metal framed PDW type setup like a Flux, also a plus given that it looks a bit heavy.
It's quite popular in Europe.
If your looking for the pistol suppressor it’s FD fisher development
Valid concern for polymer. All steel less of an issue. It has me day dreaming either way.
Buy a Beretta M9A3 or M9A4 for a suppressor host then...Aluminum frame and rail, and is one hell of a sexy pistola.
I just got my 17-556 today and it's so much fun
that downward vent's gonna gunk up the trigger group pretty fast i reckon
Ballistol won't care if you don't, better than venting in your face, I reckon.
Go watch HOP's video... it's really no worse then a standard BCG when suppressed and it's better on my mags then in my face.
The Puppy! He was the coolest part of the video Kurt!

I like the thought of the BCG venting, but if it vents through the magwell, doesn't that create other issues?

truly pooping where it eats...i just ordered one to try it out on my 300 sub/supressed gun
Nope. No more build up of carbon in the mag than a standard bcg. Several channels on here have tests of this bcg.
