I am disappointed Prince always portrayed Vanity as a gold digger to his other women. He told Mayte that Vanity loved money too much. He told Anna Fantastic that Vanity smiled for the love of money. Then he told Apollonia that Vanity wanted 6 figures to do Purple Rain. But Vanity turned down one million dollars to write a tell-all about Prince. If she was a gold digger she would have accepted the money because she had a lot of medical bills to pay. Vanity left Prince because he was cheating on her with multiple women. Prince broke her heart first. And she quit his movie Purple Rain because he had offered her only $5,000 to do it.
Omg hearing Anna validate Under the Cherry Moon makes me feel so good. That movie is GORGEOUS. It’s such a feast of imagery and a very unique use of sound. The French feel of it with the black and white film made it iconic. I saw it twice on the same day in the theater and i watch it at least once a year.💜
I strongly believes when she speaks about Vanity and Prince........then the chill she feels.....she jokes that it was him hushing her. Watched that part a few times and truly she did feel that breeze behind her. Respectfully she ended that part about Vanity.
Prince liked them young. She sounds like more of the intelligent ones. Clearly they were involved & I'm glad she speaks well of him but, also of his genius work ethic as opposed to only being starry eyed. Shes careful and smart with her words & has a life of her own.
I believe Prince was really broken from events from his past! I know I am! His child hood and his adult life! I can feel how he must have felt! The past can hurt even if you do try to be a strong person!!!! Love Prince always! Let your purple light shine bright purple family!

Does anyone see the trend. Prince always talked about Vanity Denise Matthews to all of his women including wives. Prince really loved her the most. When I hear the song 17 Days, I think about Vanity. That song is definitely about her. Carmen Electra also said that Vanity is the love of Prince’s life.
Very much enjoyed this interview as it was a different person with diverse perspective,. Anna is so classy, likeable, and beautiful. Very smart she is, considerate and demonstrates depth and spirituality. She made the right move in moving on as she had her own path yet, they were connected.

I found this to be a great interview. I was apprehensive when I saw the one microphone being passed around but this worked perfectly. Each showing respect and listening to each others replies and comments. Anna was gracious and down to earth. This was like a gathering of friends having a relaxed chat about days gone passed. Very enjoyable :)

Why would prince think going to the studio every day all day long and going home to listen to the work he did there was enough to keep this girl around. You got to catch a movie sometimes, go out to eat or to a museum, a couple times a week. She must of been bored sitting on a couch for 8 plus hours a day everyday. Just ask her what she wants to do today? It was hard for prince to share his time with others, I think he wanted to but didn't know how. In the long run he could of been happy if he made more time for his lover. But we get to enjoy his priceless music he traded for love.
