Got to kick it with this crew when I was 15 very influential in the way I pursued life until I was lost again. Now I'm back in the Lords presences and deal very blessed I can reflect on that day at the ALIVE festival 2005
WoW! My favorite rap song ever... !!! I still come to it. What an album, actually! Guys, I met y'all in San Mateo back in the day ... I'm from Puerto Rico, hopefully you still remeber me. I miss you all so much. You have inspired me more than any other band in the whole world, including Talib Kweli... You are it! Hoping you still jammin' & touring. Thanks for clearing that up. I almost forgot their Gotee release had more than just the words "HipRockSoul" on it and noticed that this version of Take Me Away didn't include live drums.
No, sir/madam. You're thinking of the album Stereo (subtitled The Evolution of HipRockSoul). HipRockSoul was put out in 2004 as a very limited print under Ahmad's LookAlive label and only sold at their live shows... A different recording of this song (slightly more rock-themed) was included on Stereo, though...
@phatmaddness909 Sure thing... give me a couple days to format it... Also, there is a download link in the description w/ the whole album if you're interested..
@phatmaddness909 Yep! Very, very rare... I saw No Plan B on eBay for about $150!! I uploaded a few more songs from the album to my profile including the ones you asked for..
Why are you calling HipRockSoul an unreleased album? It released in 2005 through Gotee Records, and I found it at my local Christian retailer that same year.
The first time i heard this song was on Hip Hope Hits 2004 , still jamming today in 2017 , be blessed !
I'm so glad I found this song again. Yaaaay
