i need this guy to swap out my auto trans to a manual. on my red cobalt ls coupe 2009
5:17 at this point it wouldn't surprise me that the spare tire (tyre) is different in the SS. I have seen 4 lug and 5 lug Cobalts out there.
Loving the rebuild lots of good info. Is it possible to swap an automatic 2.4l to a manual 2.4l? Ive got the 5 speed SS non turbo looking to swap for a rebuilt motor but finding a lot of automatics at the junk yards.
I am assuming your going to keep a lot of spare parts that would work on the SS? I would at least keep some of the HVAC parts like the actuators if you don't want to try to remove the whole housing.
I have an honest question if it was a question of cash how much would it be for him to swap the auto to a manual transmission on a 2.2 LT cobalt?

No, the new car has a clean title
You can paid for a new vin & that way it would be a true SS by vin tho Rob but still one hell of a job & your doing it all great !
It's illegal to switch the VIN over, been a huge debate in the Muscle Car world forever. If the VIN is put on a different body is it a true SS or what ever it started life as.
