Does anyone else ever notice how rarely do you ever see a live music video of any of these country singers where the band is made up of the same members twice? I got pretty close to being a bass player for an up and coming country singer some years ago and I found out real quick that in Nashville there are the BIG stars and everyone else has supporting roles. They typically hire a new band every time an artist goes out on tour and you aren't guaranteed anything as a backing musician. You can forget recording in the studio unless you are a 100% professional, flawless musician hired to play in the studio. The road band is pretty much a revolving door of whoever the producers decide they want to hire. The singers themselves really have nothing to do with it......
A lot of newer musicians have the same guys I’ve noticed like Luke Combs/Morgan Wallen. I think it depends on the artist as well as age. Obviously a 60 year old artist is more likely to have had multiple band members vs a young guy still new to it but also I feel like guys as huge as like Tim for instance they don’t want to risk any issues with the band so they hire the best people they can get regardless of if they are the same or not.
