Thank you so much for your tip on preparing the cream, Dan. I have never been able to get it to float properly without it sinking down to the bottom on one side and that was doing it over the back of a spoon. Tried your tip of 50 shakes and it worked like a dream straight from the container, no spoon necessary. Best I’ve ever done by a million miles ❤
As an Irish woman from Belfast I can wholeheartedly approve this recipe. And I’m a real purist when it comes to Irish coffee it’s usually ruined by the non Irish (especially Americans)
Have you seen the video for "How to Make Irish Coffee" over at TheIrishStore's YT channel? A person in the comments mentioned how it wasn't true Irish Coffee. I don't know what to believe!? Since you're from the land and capital, wondering what your thoughts are on it.
Beautiful Irish coffee Sir, now if you really want to impress me do it without sugar or sweetener. Your recipe is lovely, but you could float New York city on that coffee.
Thank you! You could definitely do this with some kind of thickening agent, or maybe even a very steady hand, but I actually think the sugar is really important to balance the drink.
You have to take your time for Irish coffee. Enjoying it and giving a clear explanation is important. So please don't speak quickly as if every second is your last.
you've over top took too long I was bored by two minutes of listening to this stupid way making Irish coffee .simple pour brandy in cup teaspoon coffee top water top with cream dimples your way is TOO LONG BORING 😂😂😂

Made ourselves some New Year day delicious Irish Coffees. Thank you for the great recipe and clear instructions.
So glad to hear this! Happy New Year!
Just having some good Irish Whiskey and good coffee won't get you a good Irish Coffee. 50 shakes of the cream closes the deal. Thank you for sharing.
Looks amazing, and doable for everyone
I really appreciate that, I wanted it to be something a lot of people could try!
This looks delicious Dan 👏👏👏

my great grandfather was an irish immigrant, not my fault traditions and recipes were lost smh
I have to try this. I don't drink, but it still looks noice!
Can we use espresso coffee at the bottom?
Sure thing, you might just need some hot water to reduce the intensity slightly!
@@DANFELLOWScoffeecocktails Thank you!!
I'm gonna try to fine strain the cream now, seems interesting 8)
Also do you have a reference for the glass you use ?
It helps to strain out some small bubbles and give a smoother texture. In terms of the glass, here is a link: geni.us/z4K1U6

@@DANFELLOWScoffeecocktails I saw older Irish bartenders back in the day do it, as a young bartender it used to fascinate me.
I have a couple of questions. Can I ask how many ml or ounces is 100 gram of cream? Also, should I chill the shaker before I shake the cream?
100ml = 100g. l
good
Nice result. And fancy way to complicate a simple recipe.
Thank you. This is a good description of my niche 😂
Just in thyme for some St. Patrick's Day dessert.
Exactly!
Missing coffee beans as decoration🫘
