SweetJohnnyCage your RPD Star is after 45 minutes. Mines is before 41 minutes. When you start the game instead of going they the donut shop, go get the safe 1st, run past the zombie in the safe room, get the hose, go thru the donut shop, bring the ladder down, put out the fire, kill the dogs, shoot the 1st zombie in the room, dodge past the 2nd, dodge past the 3rd, get the lock pick, do that, run from nemesis, shoot the fuse, dodge past the zombie, activate the nemesis so he’s on the ladder, run to the left down the stairs, activate the train, put everything away except your shot gun, pistol, lock pick, bolt cutter, get the grenade out the lock pick locker that’s in the donut shop, shoot the fuse, grenade the nemesis, grab the crate, open the store grab the jewelry box, go to the toy store grab the jewelry box, the 3rd one should be in your safe box, get the Grenada shotty stock, n hip pouch, then you’ll make it under the 1:45min mark, you kill unnecessary zombies bro

Thanks a lot for the walkthrough. This mode feels the hardest because of the time limit. Your walkthrough made me realize I was taking too much time at the hospital killing all the hunters and also killing the zombies in the safe room for just a grenade, which wasn't worth it. I was also going to the Operation Room (not 100% sure that's what it's called, it's the only other door you need the card for) for extra ammo and grenades, which I didn't need anymore once I ran past a lot of enemies (I also saved the grenade I had for the first hunter at the Gauntlet) . I think I was wasting almost 10 minutes overall.
Thanks. It helpful to have a way to gauge how you’re doing. I’m playing through 2 and 3 again after finishing 4 and I just hit the second nemesis fight and I’m at 51:51 so right on track
@13:10 those 3 zombies don't need to be killed. I mean do what you have to do to avoid them, if you have no choice then kill them, but, as soon as you use the lock pick on the gate that leads to the generator section(the cinematic with the bug vommiting in jill, forcing a green herb), that causes those 3 zombies to despawn, so really they are a huge waste of ammo.
Dude I used ur advice/guides for RE2 on S+ Rank and here i am back!! I really like the way you talk about various outcomes and play throughs of your own! Keep up the great work and I look forward to joining you again for whatever lies next for RE!! Thanks man!!

The in-game timer doesn't run during radio conversations, so you can close distance without having your time increase while you do so. at 13:22 I can confirm you dont need to stab them, only need to get past them because when you get back they will disappear one way or the other, even if you dont shoot them. Nice guide.
Great video! This helped me out A LOT! Just a tip for the final nemesis fight. You can activate more than one power core per down on hardcore. On the right side, if you start pushing one in as soon as his falling animation starts you can get the second one on that side as he’s rising. Just be sure, if you activate the one closest to him second, to immediately get back to avoid his OHK grab attack.
This one was more intense than RE2. I was dumb and forgot that I could only do 5 manual saves and only realized it when I went to face the first Nemesis boss fight. I had already done 4. I managed to not save until the third boss fight and managed to beat the last boss with a bit more than 5 minutes remaining. Gonna have to get the infinite rocket launcher to get the platinum, no way I'm gonna be so lucky on inferno lmao
Calls don't waste your time here. They FREEZE time and then you can walk without losing time. So you NEVER skip calls in this game. If you skip it then you actually lose time.
Nice video! You can get the magnum if you can make finish the defend scenario before 1:15:00. You’ll have to hussle and skip a few items, and pull a rabit out of your hat on the final nemisis fight.
@@SweetJohnnyCage 1:04:53, just before entering into the double doors. If you just let Carlos open them and stick in the prior room - you can snipe them without them triggering to move. I only know this from watching copious amounts of runs from other users before bed. I’m so strange.
Bro, thank you. I tried to get an S rank two times before watching this video and I always ran out of time. But with this video, I finally got my first S rank. Also, I got like 8 trophies so haha, thanks :)!!
Awesome guide! Just used it to finally get that S rank. Thanks so much for making this. Couple of tips for beginners like me that I learned along the way - if you die, do NOT hit continue - quit to the main menu and reload the autosave/save, or the time will continue running from when you died! I fell nearly 4 mins behind due to this mistake in the early Powerstation bug sequence. I was feeling super demoralised and didn't think I'd make it. Not the end of the world - I bought an assault coin from the shop and used it in boss fights/anywhere I had the spare inventory space - most of the second half of the game is boss fights and the assault coin easily shaves off the time fighting bosses. So I finished in about 1:39! Just tips if anybody else makes mistakes like I did, don't think you need to do the run again from the start :) good luck
Another neat trick to get into the second stage early is to pickup the explosive rounds and fire them at him while he's stopped moving and uses the regular flamer attack. He cannot move while during this and its great way to deal a ton of damage aslong as you're behind cover and not getting roasted.
I’m watching this in 2024 and my dumbass is skipping radio calls, resetting on death from the very beginning cuz as a re2 player I didn’t think re3 had auto saves and the whole beginning section jus before u get the lock pick I killed the zombies when I know now u can jus skip them…
Dude thankyou for this, there was a lot of trial and error on my part but I finally did it, and its all thanks to you. im gonna subscribe and thanks for the help. I completed the game with a time of 1 hour and 37 minutes
I found if you play your cards right and get to sewer before 20 you can get kendo’s key in under 30-35 depending on your nemesis 1 fight and rpd in at least 38 instead of 40
You are right. Every attempt at this dies at the draine deimos part. So frustrating. I've tried this like 15 times and can't get passed that part. Time to throw in the towel 😔
I thought that the radio calls were considered cutscenes and the IGT counter pauses during the call. If so it would save time to continue to walk while the radio call is happening and let it play out until you get to a door you need to get through or item you need to pick up. I’m certain I’ve seen speed runners not skip these radio calls until they’ve needed to perform an action is what leads me to believe this.
They actually despawn before having to do the puzzle. I know because I skipped em on my first run and back tracked to unlock everything. On my way out they were gone
I tried this and was in lab two within 2 hours and 1 minute... I blame myself for only beating the game once before so far only Nemmy 1 really messes up my time.

Cuz for the s rank u need 3 saves n i doubt he wants to rely on an auto save for it, tho coming from an re2 player I didn’t even think hardcore had auto saves
That's an interesting question. I don't think it would, but I can't be sure. The restrictions for S rank have to do with manual saves, so I never relied on the autosaves. Reloading from an autosave wastes time, though, as the timer keeps going, even if you die. But if you reload from a manual save, the timer goes back to whatever it was when you saved the game.
@@SweetJohnnyCage I tested the autosave yesterday. As it turns out, it does add time if you reload it after playing, but if you reload again it reverts back to the original time.

@@WheeledHamster Thanks for the reply mate tried it today but still got a B rank even though I only saved it twice and had a run time of 1h50m I used the coins and ammo companion so that sucks. The only part that worries me is when the nemesis is chasing you and can put you on danger with one hit then finish you off as you are trying to get back up, it's mainly the narrow hallway when Jill uses herself as bait if he gets you there and you don't have coins your dead.Looks like I'll try again tomorrow this time without the ammo companion and if that doesn't work then I'll have to bin the coins and actually learn how to dodge properly lol
Latest update just completed hardcore again in less than 2 hours with no coins infinite ammo or ammo companion and still got a B so it looks like I got scored down for using either the shop hip pouches or the shop lockpick and bolt cutters or both basically you cannot use anything from the shop......like the 5 time I've completed it now and never got higher than a B starting to really piss me off now at least in RE2 you could use the infinite knife!
I’m gonna just come out and say it... The spider/parasite breaker maze section is total bullshit. Just a cheap design choice to make you use up all your healing items. Great video though.
The game says the requirement is 2:30 but you say 1:45. I completed it in 1:48 and yes unused the infinite rifle. Is this why I got a B? I didn’t die either, got hit a a lot. So what do I need to do specifically?
I’ve beaten RE 3 so many times now, but when I start a new game now I cannot get past the beginning where he’s chasing me with the huge rock!!! Is there something I’m doing wrong or is my game broken. I’ve restarted the game several times now, retried the game on different difficulties, restarted my PlayStation and I cannot win. Can someone help?!
@@SweetJohnnyCage I wish I was making this up man. I’m literally holding forward and it still kills me. I put the game on after not having played it for a little while then this starts happening. I’m literally at a loss right now
I realize a person can use shop items to make their s rank run easier, but I refuse to do that, because that is bs. A TRUE S rank is what you just did, no shop items. The developers should of hardcoded that in there. The only exception if I were the development team would be shop costumes that is it, everything else you won't get an S Rank if I were in charge.
Yea, especially coming from RE2 Remake, where using anything but the infinite knife automatically downgraded you to S from S+, the decision to allow people to use the infinite rocket launcher and still get the top rank in RE3 Remake was strange to me.
If I use the Infinite Rocket Launcher and Hip Pouches on Hardcore mode and Nightmare and Inferno can I still get the S rank can someone please help me with this ?

Never hit continue. Always Reload your auto or manual saves.
nice vid,thanks
Glad you liked it!
Sorry I couldn't do it without the stuff from the shop
Nice video and tips, thanks dude! one question, can I get s rank using the samurai edge?
You can't use any infinite ammo weapons, but I'm really not sure if it also includes the vanity weapons.
Can infinite ammo and other shop content be used?
Quick question. The game (at least now) autosave frequently. If you reload one of those does it ruin the ranking?
That's an interesting question. I don't think it would, but I can't be sure. The restrictions for S rank have to do with manual saves, so I never relied on the autosaves. Reloading from an autosave wastes time, though, as the timer keeps going, even if you die. But if you reload from a manual save, the timer goes back to whatever it was when you saved the game.
@@SweetJohnnyCage I tested the autosave yesterday. As it turns out, it does add time if you reload it after playing, but if you reload again it reverts back to the original time.
@@cybernightzero5891 yo did you get your platinum with this method because I'm planning on using it as well
@@diamondtheif4007 I believe so.
Do you retrieve all: records/files, weapon parts, and charlie's, in this run?
Weapon parts is a maybe. I can't be totally sure, as it's been a while. No to the charlie's and records. I have a charlie's guide and all weapons guide in the playlist though
@@SweetJohnnyCage I see, I'll have to watch your Charlie run, I need most of him. The only other things that I need are the extended clip for the handgun, dropped from nemesis and 3 story files. I have been struggling to find a good guide for them.
Oh! The Nemesis drops are in this walkthrough. They're quick to get, just save your grenades in the beginning. Extended Magazine is at 17:44 and the Moderator is at 22:00.
You can turn off tutorials from options helps a bit
1:25:40 you can tell he’s frustrated
Can you beat it on hardcore and will you get the standard achievement also or no
Yes!
Can you use any of the shop items and still get an S? I don't want to use any of the infinite weapons but what about coins or the ammo companion?
Yea no problem, just dont save more than 5 times and beat it under 2 hours I think? This applies for all the modes.
@@WheeledHamster Oh and I've been playing it on hardcore so not sure if the same rules apply for standard...... probably do.
Latest update just completed hardcore again in less than 2 hours with no coins infinite ammo or ammo companion and still got a B so it looks like I got scored down for using either the shop hip pouches or the shop lockpick and bolt cutters or both basically you cannot use anything from the shop......like the 5 time I've completed it now and never got higher than a B starting to really piss me off now at least in RE2 you could use the infinite knife!
leon kennedy It has to be under 1hr 45min. Yes Hardcore is the only one, every other mode is 2hr for some reason.
I’m gonna just come out and say it... The spider/parasite breaker maze section is total bullshit. Just a cheap design choice to make you use up all your healing items. Great video though.
Missed s rank by 46 seconds 🙃
The game says the requirement is 2:30 but you say 1:45. I completed it in 1:48 and yes unused the infinite rifle. Is this why I got a B? I didn’t die either, got hit a a lot. So what do I need to do specifically?
The requirement is 2:30 for assisted. Scroll over to the hardcore tab of the results screen and it will say 1:45.
Did you save more than 5 times?
Some people are dense as fuck, holy crap.
Great! No box next?
That's the plan! I definitely need a break from these difficult runs haha. I'll do no box and no heal on standard.
You could always do it on assisted🙄 difficulty doesnt affect those trophies i believe!
@@joantamarit2439 no box video is now live on the channel!
Time do it this night!
48:15 NO! SCULLY!
weapons in the shop can be use for this?
Yea
Did standard in 2:23:16 cuz I went for jewels and everything and was messing around, died once at the ending and didn't save once and got a b rank :/
does the timer stop during cutscenes and or the pause menu?
Pause menu for sure, but I'm not sure about cutscenes.
SweetJohnnyCage yes, the timer stops during pause menu, cutscenes and radio calls
do you have to skip cutscenes to make the time?
Jonathan Rodriguez yes because all the cutscenes can take around 10 minutes
Acctually no, they stop the time
I’ve beaten RE 3 so many times now, but when I start a new game now I cannot get past the beginning where he’s chasing me with the huge rock!!! Is there something I’m doing wrong or is my game broken. I’ve restarted the game several times now, retried the game on different difficulties, restarted my PlayStation and I cannot win. Can someone help?!
I've seen some really weird bugs in the first Nemesis boss fight, but never the very beginning. I just hold forward. Sorry I can't be more help here.
@@SweetJohnnyCage I wish I was making this up man. I’m literally holding forward and it still kills me. I put the game on after not having played it for a little while then this starts happening. I’m literally at a loss right now
Studying this so I can beat it then refund it within the 2 hour window on Steam
I realize a person can use shop items to make their s rank run easier, but I refuse to do that, because that is bs. A TRUE S rank is what you just did, no shop items. The developers should of hardcoded that in there. The only exception if I were the development team would be shop costumes that is it, everything else you won't get an S Rank if I were in charge.
Yea, especially coming from RE2 Remake, where using anything but the infinite knife automatically downgraded you to S from S+, the decision to allow people to use the infinite rocket launcher and still get the top rank in RE3 Remake was strange to me.
I will upload the video at my channel in hours
Can you still get S tank for using items in the shop
Dennis Jaggars you can get the infinite pistol so you don’t have to stop for ammo and have an extra slot but I’ve heard that it is a bad gun
Yes, you can.
Got the betas and gammas names swapped but handled them nonetheless
Oh whoops! Haha too many creature names.
The unforgivable thing is him calling Nicolai "Mikhail", Mikhail didn't die for this :(
@@mysterio6389 Yea, that's egregious, for sure. That's what I get for starting the run at 1am haha.
i finished hardcore mode in 1 hour 56 minutes with no deaths n 1 save but got a B how do you get an S rank..
I mention at the very start of the video that you need to beat it in 1 hour 45 minutes. It also says this in the Records screen in-game.
The requirement for S rank is 2 hours 30 minutes and no more than 5 saves
I think that's for Assisted. On Standard and Hardcore it's 1:45. Unless it was patched?
SweetJohnnyCage hardcore is 1:45:00, and it goes up to 2:00:00 for the rest except assisted which is 2:30:00 my bad
If I use the Infinite Rocket Launcher and Hip Pouches on Hardcore mode and Nightmare and Inferno can I still get the S rank can someone please help me with this ?
You can use bonus items and still get an S.
Thanks buddy I'm still going to watch your video for my Hardcore run. Thanks 👍👍
If you use the infinite rocket... I got 1:17:48, 0 saves, 4 deaths
