Yes, share your quilting, please! I learned embroidery, stamped cross stitch, and crocheting in the late '60's-early '70's; discovered counted cross stitch in the late '70's, learned to sew in the late '80's; joined a quilt group that was started by a couple judges in my agency as a way to bring staff together; picked up latch hook sometime; rediscovered cross stitching in the '90's; and went gung-ho in 2013 after I had the left knee replaced. I discovered FlossTube, and online shopping...all the things that big box stores don't carry.

I started in the 90's but stopped stitching for the longest time I kept all my CrossStitch magazines which I would pull out once in awhile. So last year I Googled a few of the designers and found JBW Designs had a 'floss tube channel'.... What's that?? I was hooked, back into stitching full on. My how times have changed!! You ladies are great, I'll be watching for you and if I see you at a retreat, I'm sitting at your table! Kathy from 🇨🇦 xx

Hi Deborah, Quilters and Cross Stitchers seem to always go together. There are so many great Aida fabrics and colors now than when we started years ago. Stitch on whatever makes you happy! No stress!
Wow. Your story is my story. I lived in Phoenix area since 1989. I quilt and cross stitch. I came back to cross stitching about two years ago and it has been a life saver. Cheri is one of my great friends from the Attic as well as Caroline, Ms. Flossy, and of course Jean. It was my first time at Summer School and I got to meet Brenda and Laura and Sherry, the Colorado Cross Stitcher. I have moved to Texas recently, but am in AZ so much some days I don't remember moving. Maybe some day we can meet, or maybe at the next Summer School. Good luck on your FlossTube adventures.

Hi ladies!! Great first video - Loved it! I'm also a retired elementary teacher, but I taught 5th and 6th graders. My hat goes off to our lower grade teachers; you folks set the foundation on which I continued to build. Many years ago, I dabbled in quilting small pieces but haven't touched it in years. I'm totally cross stitch now, but still enjoy seeing the work of quilters so enjoyed all of your video. Till next time - Steph from NJ

Hello from Chino Valley, AZ! My mom and I cross-stitched in the '80s then she moved on to quilting, and I was busy raising kids and juggling a career. I was in Ogden, UT for a work meeting a few months ago and was shocked to find a cross-stitch shop right across the street from my hotel! I didn't know people were still doing this! I have my mom's stash of floss and silk ribbon, and that little shop with all of its beautiful framed samplers inspired me to make something for my stepdaughter, who is getting married in October. I will be watching some Floss Tubes! So happy to stumble across your channel--look forward to more! Since I have to drive to Phoenix once a week for work, maybe I'll take a couple of hours and visit The Attic!

Hi ladies! I’m so excited to see some Arizona stitchers starting a Flosstube, yay! I’m in Peoria. I still haven’t made it out to the Attic yet it’s probably a forty minute drive for me but I will soon. I’ve just returned to stitching after a very long break. When I had my daughter 23 years ago I got into photography and papercrafting. Im enjoying the stitching community so much. I’ve never quilted but I’m starting to become interested so many stitchers quilt. Anyways great job on the video I hope to see another one from you soon! Take care!
Hi Shawn, We are "meeting" so many Arizona Stitchers. It's so great. The Attic is a drive for us too, but well worth it. Don't be in a hurry when you visit the Attic. I so enjoyed your first Floss Tube. I too live in Phoenix, so nice to see some local stitchers. I think you could do the HOD design on black aida. I hate black evenweave or linen, but I stitched one of those designs on a black chalkboard colored aida and it was easy to see. I hit the bell and subscribed, so look forward to when you can do your next video.

Angie and Penny, I'm so happy to meet you! Your first Flosstube went very well, and Penny, I'm impressed that you've jumped in and have started video editing and even added a title to your thumbnail. In the 80's I had already started stitching samplers and was just dipping my feet into linen, so when Covid hit, I jumped in and have only stitched one thing on Aida and that was because it was almost full coverage. When you mentioned going to Summer School and Brenda, Laura, Carol, and Kim, I knew you were going to be stitching things I'd like. So, I've subscribed and rung the bell because I don't want to miss your next one!
Welcome Gramma rose’s Homestead, I must confess, I had every intention of video editing until I realized it was quite the learning curve, so I am blessed to say that a marvelous man jumped in and did the edit. Lucky for Angie and I that he was available and offered to make the edits. Thank goodness that MM helped to add the thumbnail, all the commenting, and especially flipping the text so it wasn’t backwards. Stay tune, we are doing the 2nd video next week. Angie is busy working on her Sampler that she showed in the 1st flosstube. It’s so beautiful.
