- Welcome back to another video where I test out an eyeshadow palette as a first impressions and then use it over the course of a week or so to give my running thoughts as I use each shade. This time around I am testing out the new holiday palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills, the Sultry Palette

I love love when you do this style of video. It's fun to see a first impression reaction but often first impressions change and are not accurate, so in these videos we get both. I wish more UA-camrs would pick up on your great idea!
I never thought this palette was boring, I thought it was classic. I can see this palette pairing with a red lip easily & because of the high impact shimmers, being very appropriate for fancy nights out. It's a minimalist's dream palette lol.
I can see you getting a lot of use out of this palette since you seem to like those shimmery natural looks & they look good on you :)

I guess I don't quite get the theme of this palette? It's called Sultry so to me it evokes candlelight, silk sheets, and sort of sexy and romantic themes. But the shade names are both very Blade Runner-ish (Cyborg, Steampunk, Dystopia, Noir) as well as like a forest of flowers (Bloom, Birch, Teak, Twig). The swatches look nice though, and your looks are gorgeous. Day 2 is simple yet very romantic and flattering!
Looking forward to the Norvina review! And I totally agree with your idea about the packaging. A soft purple glitter would be gorgeous with the Norvina palette. And I would definitely need to buy ALL of them if they were in glitter packaging.
When I first saw this pallet I wasn’t interested. Then I saw it in person and grabbed it. I love this pallet. It really surprised me.
I always love your color choices in your eye makeups. I don't know why, but I feel they are bold and wearable at the same time.
This was a fab review and seeing you create so many wearable looks was great and this is a video I can go back to and get some inspo. The last eye look you did is definitely my favourite and you’ve convinced me now that I need it lol!! It’s the only ABH palette I don’t have so I need it to complete my collection-this is me justifying buying yet another palette 😂 xxx

That grey reminds me of the grey in the Zoeva Rose Gold palette..looks grey but isn't really grey...

This palette is so pretty for holidays! It’s the finish that is so pretty because the colors are very glittery! I didn’t love the color scheme at first but putting it on I really loved this palette after that! I think the looks you created are gorgeous as well!
I've been waiting MONTHS for you to dig into Sultry. This palette is a hidden gem. I knew it when I first saw it. I agree, an olive old gold is missing but this is very Gatsby and it bought out the flapper girl in you, ha ha. What you did with Bloom on the lower lash instead of a transition, was sublime. Same for Slate. I'd love to see Slate on the inner hollow of the eye and transitioned out, with Cyborg on the lower lid with a heavy Noir wing. Bring back the 100 year look. You have the eye shape and the balls 😉
When this came out I decided right away that I did not like this and certainly didn’t want it. These are all colors that I usually avoid. Then I watched this video and loved all the looks you did and decided I had to try it. These colors look amazing with my blue eyes. I’m shocked but people complement my eyes every time I wear this palette. Thanks for the review.

Haven’t watched your video yet but really hoping you like or at least see the potential in this palette. It’s one of my absolute favorites and i think it’s a bit underrated/ misunderstood 😄 I have pale rosy skin with cool undertones and this palette is quite unique and works extremely well for my complexion, which very few neutral palettes do. 👌🙂

And also.. the coral is one of my fav shades. I use it as the main matte together with all the shimmers and a bit of dystopian to darken it. I think it looks like it might be disjointed but it actually works really well in practice.
@@SmarandaC The coral is the only shade I don't use - haha! I've tried and I feel like my eyes look like I'm having an allergic reaction or something. I'm just a basic nude tone girl though, and color makes me nervous :)

I think silver looks so great on you! I just watched your one month one palette with the Lorac Pro 2 and I really liked the silver on you. Since I just saw that, I just realized that there are several similar shades! I think!!
I saw this a while back and thought "dang, I wish I hadn't missed that palette." It just came back for Black Friday and I grabbed it! I really liked the inspiration for looks to play with, and I really enjoy this style of video.

So glad you have a review on this! I just snapped this up half price at sephora, I'm also really glad this palette doesn't look as one dimensional as it does in photos. Honestly, they do it a disservice.

I adore this palette! My favorite color is Cyborg. I would replace ember with a different color because I feel like the color gets lost within the other shades.

I love my Sultry palette & I think that it actually pairs really beautifully w/both the Norvina & Soft Glam palettes. I think making a bundle available w/those particular 3 was smart, as they actually pair well & I can see many different people enjoying them.
I liked day 5 the best, that kinda messy smokey look was gorgeous on you. I couldn't help but feel like all the looks were very similar. I don't mean that in a derogatory way towards your skill, at all, but towards the palette. It's pretty but doesn't seem versatile enough to warrant the price. For me, at least

What a beautiful first look! I just bought it today since it's on sale. I wasn't inspired by the colours but now I am! You tend to inspire me to try interesting colour combos.

I've been wanting this pallet for sooo long and now I want it even more. Love this review and love the eye looks you created.
I think Ember is my favorite shade in this palette. It has so much dimension and such interesting reflects. This is a great everyday palette that gives you drama but is still neutral and wearable. I like to use Bloom in the crease, or to just dust it lightly above the transition. It adds something that gives it a bit of a twist.
Really loved your review I went to the Sephora website and bought the palette! Like most people, the palette didn’t really interest me colors were merh but after seeing your review.. you totally changed my mind... cannot wait to receive it!
I really like day 5 the best, you called it sloppy. I think you could wear it to work, and its smokey enough to wear in the evening. Love it!

I keep my palettes in the packaging so I don’t have a problem keeping even the felted Anastasia palettes clean. My Modern Ren I have had the longest and it still looks new.

That cyborg shade is so goooood. It is almost lilac and the grey has a mauve feel to it.

This palette looks lovely on you! I'm so glad you are enjoying the cooler tones. It's too bad that this palette won't work on my warm, deep skintone. Most of these shades with end up looking ashy on me, especially light taupes and unfortunately the bronzy golds don't have enough variance and might look the same on my lids. I don't want this to be like the UD Naked 2 where I just used the black and gold. Still, I'm glad you can come up with all the varied looks, like most I enjoyed the last two looks a lot.
Beautiful palette, stunning eye combinations. It reminds me of the different coloured sands on Rainbow Beach.

I do the look like you did the first day and put a light dusting of bloom at the very top of the crease I use two and the grey in the crease first. Bloom and the grey color and cyborg look beautiful together. This is my favorite palette this year
Not two twig
Bloom does add to the looks I’ve tried and I’m always complemented when I wear it. I’m new to wearing color so it scared me at first. Try it with the cool browns grey and cyborg. Try it in the crease. I love bloom it’s really magickal so just try it please
This palette, I believe, was made with blue eyed gals in mind. Browns and bronzes are great to bring out blue eyes, but more so, blue and orange are opposite colors on the color wheel, therefore blue and orange make each other stand out, so the coral color Bloom is a perfect addition to make blue eyes POP.
This is such an amazing concept for a video, I barely watch regular first impressions anymore. I'm excited to see what you think of Norvina, I don't have either of them but I might have to pick one, depending!

I would have loved the coral to be an ultraviolet purple type shade. I think that purples and bronzes look so beautiful together. And of course, purple and silver go great together, too.
I loved all the looks you created! I like the Norvina palette more personally ... I think all the hues in the Norvina palette make brown eyes pop as well ! I would have picked up the Sultry if it had a matte navy instead of the black and if one of the brown/bronze glitters was a navy glitter instead ! I’m into cool toned shadows off late (obsessed with hudas smokey obsessions palette which is very similar to this palette colour wise) Also that black shadow!!!! Holy crap 😍
I love this palette. 😍 I actually have a halo eye with Slate and Cyborg on my eyes now, with Bloom on the lower lash line. Bloom is the perfect pop of color for blue eyes. ❤️❤️❤️

I was super drawn to this palette, but I kept talking myself out of it because I usually go for something more bright/colorful. Between the glitter packaging and that beautiful grey, I finally caved, and I don't regret it at all. It's basically all I use right now. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is Bloom. If it was as much of a statement as it looks in the palette, I'd be in love, but it's so muted. I haven't even tried to put it on my eyes yet 🤷♀️

I was on the fence a few weeks after Sultry was released. I wanted some cooler eyeshadows, but I wasn't sure that I could work with this palette. Bloom and Slate rather confused me. However, I decided to buy it, but I kept the receipt just in case. The first two looks I tried were duds. In the second look, Cinder and Teak seemed to blend into one another. So, I watched several videos to get an idea about how this palette works. The third look I tried went a lot better. It was a glam look using Fresh, Twig, Dystopian, Cyborg and Noir. My fourth look was Fresh, Bloom in the crease and on a third of my eyelid, Rose Quartz on the rest of the lid, and Pearl in the inner corner. Under my eye, I used Dystopian in a thin line tight against my lower lashes, then I used Bloom below that. FYI: I usually tightline my upper eyelid - black for look 3 and brown for look 4. You are right about Pearl; it is a little chunky and harder to apply. I am looking forward to experimenting with Bloom some more. I am also excited to try what you did with this palette. I LOVE this palette. Try the Bloom with the grey and the silver. It's beautiful. I think it can be used more than you think. I'm surprised how much I like to use it.
I felt the same way about it! I used my $25 off $75 so the collector in me didn't feel incomplete but I absolutely love sultry now

I agree about the Cinder colour. I really wish it had been a bit smoother as it's a v pretty colour. I find the best way to put on the shimmers (especially the more chunky ones) was with fingers. My fave is Cyborg. Emma x
Totally wasn't interested in this palette but now I'm thinking it's super pretty - that grey and silver see what really intrigue me. They look like they'll make you look dead in the pan but your swatches and how they showed on the eye were 😍 like soft cool lavender almost
Damn I wasn't interested in this palette till you said that there are 7 shimmers/metallics. That's what I love most about the Norvina palette and I figured I already have all these colors. Which may be true but the ABH metallic formula is phenomenal
