Hi mate✌ I'm having a bit of a problem and seems like nobody has covered it on a video. I'm using slipmats they slip amazing. The only problem is there's no grip between the vinyl and the slipmat ? Basically I cue up to beat match and when I throw in the mix, it's hit and miss. And takes a couple of seconds to speed up to the set pitch. I can see the turntable speed stays the same, but the vinyl takes a while to get traction. Can I used something grippy on top of the slip mat. Bit of a strange question. I'm on month 4 of starting my front room DJ career🙃 I'm loving it
The slipmat spins the same on both sides. I might be wrong but I would of thought the top side would be grippier??
Is it possible your record is bowled? As in, cupped in one direction? This shit happens to me with some serato records, so I put the loose side up, and let gravity do its thing. It'll flatten out in a few days.
That, or stick a heavy ass book on top for a few days. Easy peasy
Hey whats the best suitable slipmat for casual mixing and specially slip cueing?
if you don't want paper fibre driven into your vinyl ignore no1 and if you want to get a great master recording of your vinyl before putting it to work then put the rubber isolation mat back on it makes a world of difference.
You cant do turntablism with a rubber mat... This is for slipping the record
@@serge933 I agree with you the rubber mat for ripping vinyl to master and not for scratching, the best way is to take the polythene record sleeve and use that under the slipmat like he did with the paper, without the issue of paper fibers getting into everything.
What I used to do was taking of the base of my turntable and with a pencil outline the base of the turntable on a regular paper ( I grabbed a green sheet of paper but It can be any color ) and cut the outline that I drew and just put it on the base of my turntable and boom a slipmat
Good video...I use a twelve inch polystyrene seperater from a twin pack of ready made pizza bases from lidl in Belfast. ..does the trick and looks good....
I veryveryvery like this veryvery much

Go to the fabric store and buy felt

O melhor é colocar o plástico que vem por fora do vinil!
