- Yucca Extract spends its whole life trying to store and save enough water. Grows predominantly in high drought areas. For this reason it is known for allowing other plants to uptake water and with that water comes nutrients.

So I'm no expert here. But Yucca contains sufactants that reduce surface tension in liquids. Just like soap does to water. That makes water soluble nutrients much easier to absorb by plants and animals. It also reduces ammonia to nitrites, which are much less harmful and can be digested by bacteria to produce nitrates, which is vital plant food. I would say this is what actually works, not plant hormones that trick other plants into feasting. But again, I'm no expert. this comes from limited research.

i just purchased raw yuuca and the new product is 50 percent yucca and 50 percent maltodextrin. is maltodextrin ok in organic gardens?
That is pretty normal. It's a blending and anticaking agent which allows the product to last longer. It is perfectly fine for organic gardens.
