- You join me on the fantastic River Swale for a session Chub Fishing on the Waggler. Today's peg can be found at Fawdington on a stretch that is run by Helperby Angling Club (see link below).
Throughout this short session, I talk you through my set up for the day including the rod choice, waggler choice, and simple bait approach. Guiding you through the best way to feed these chub when fishing the waggler.
The River Swale is home to a variety of species including those we are focused on today the mighty chub as well as barbel to double figures, dace, perch, roach, pike and maybe the odd eel and other species.
If you fancy a day on the swale, day tickets are available for the stretch we fished, just contact the angling club for further information.
Keep an eye out for future videos.

Hi Stephen
I was actually going to film this one at helperby but the day I was going was the day of the one evening match a year they have there so went to fawdington instead
I ve been a couple of times since to fawdington to and there seems to be plenty of fish on any of the shallower faster pegs through summer
Great video looking forward to one @ woodlands :)
Why the waggler and not a stick float ?
hi matt, the peg I fished was very shallow and fast and fishing towards the far bank control was much easier with a waggler.
I'm planning on going some where to do a video fishing stick floats at some point though!
