Winston might be one of the best character designs in the game - a main tank that aggro players (me) can enjoy playing. This really made me wanna pick up OW again, awesome work!
Agreed I've had more play of the games with Winston than any other character and I love him for his playstyle

It took me about 5 seconda to realize it trough the video and then i laughed and i hate myseld for it
I checked #Overbuff. The only Tank hero that dies more often than #Winston is #Reinhardt, although it's worth pointing out that #Reinhardt has been doing a lot better in recent months.

Yup..... I spent a mont learning Winston and I’m still learning a bit. But I got a comp win rate of 60% and deaths per 10 of 5,38. But man he is not just in get kills and out.

Winston is the only character in the overwatch universe that has actually used their mouth to eat
except junkrat eats dumplings in his highlight intro and a slushy in a victory pose, and baptiste eats soup in a victory pose
Doesn’t hammond have a slurping victory pose too?

Dva eats doritos in her Game On emote, junkrat eats dumplings in his Feast emote, hammond eats something in his Lounge emote, he technically eats a bit of the pumpkin in his Nibbling emote and i think mccree eats a bit of his pie in the Overwatch Animated Short | “Reunion”

That story at the beginning has more plot than most Netflix shows
every time i watch your “the life of ____” i literally wanna play them but end up getting absolutely clapped by the enemy team
I put a great deal of practice in to each hero!

Once you learn to play him, Winston is one of the most fun characters in the game.
And yes, he's a lot harder to play well than people seem to think. You can be an okay player and still get work done, due to the forgiving nature of the weapon and the barrier, but becoming really good at Winston isn't easy.
I just started playing him he's so much fun, got any golden rules? So far my golden rule is delete squishes in enemy backline when solo, then jetpack back to safety.
@@ElusiveNomad always have a plan, do not jump into enemy team with no focus. Try to have bubble each time you jump in. And consider setting up on high ground so that you’re able to drop in without jump pack, then have it available for instant escape for an extremely safe engage. Try to primal rage when you’re low health during an engagement as it instantly brings you back up to 1000 in the moments the enemy is trying very hard to finish you off, often extending into your melee range already. And lastly, resist the urge to primal rage during nano boost, yes it’s fun and Ana will boost you during primal sometimes anyway, but you do more dps with your base weapon, allowing you to more easily close out a team fight and saving your primal if appropriate
Yeah, monke is the hardest tank to learn for me because I have no sense of self preservation.

And yes Winston is actually a very hard character to play, his ult is freaking hard to manage. Sure it gives you a free out of jail card but making actual plays with it is super hard..
Shame you forgot to mention the punch cancel animation on landing though, it's also one of the mechanics of Winston that elevate the skill level of the character.. So yeah as far as tank goes for me Winston is a 3 stars difficulty tank even if he can look like a 1 star at first

Hi hello as a Winston main, a good tip is to look downwards at the enemy when you leap at the WHEN primal raging, it can even allow you to leap a little bit further if you time the SLAP with when you pass them, then when you travel your (now slightly further) leap, you have to move less distance to slap em again

I literally got into Overwatch after I saw the animated short Recall back when it first came out. Winston automatically became my favorite character and I had some difficulty getting to know how to play him at first but I didn't give up. Thanks to another UA-camr named Macro, but this video is fantastic in its own right too. Definitely helpful for anyone who wants to learn monkey. :3

Well, this was a lot of fun! I play Winston quite often and I actually got some pretty good tips from this vid, like throwing people off the map with the ult, I need to do that more!
This video was very helpful to me as before I sucked at Winston and hated the character because I didn’t know how the abilities we’re supposed to be used in battle. After I watched this I managed to successfully kill the enemy and not get myself killed in the process as well as get creative with my tactics which I am very happy of. Thank you so much!

Heres a tip for winston:
When you are using your primary fire you should alternate between your tesla cannon and your quick melee as it will help you save more ammo as well as output more dps. When you land your jumps you should also use your quick melee and if you do it properly you can animation cancel the melee and still do the melee damage thus making you do even more damage.
So close to 1 million! Keep going guysss
