The battery building was supposed to be operating around this time. Maybe earlier. I think they were supposed to shut down production for a few weeks to convert it to 4680 structural cars

A bit disappointed with the output of Gigaberlin. The total finished cars maybe less than 50 cars here in the video.

One thing I really notice is that the whole of Tesla's site seems to be built on what looks like sand. Is that really what the ground conditions are like? Thanks for these informative videos.

i don't think so. they resist putting down concrete and pavement until brand new cars need a clean road to drive on. That implies the dirt holds up as road base for as long as they need

    • @martinstock
      @martinstock 2 роки тому +1

      Yes.
In the below video, you can spot behind the high sand hill a sand screening machine. Tesla can use thus their own sand for construction, e.g. for making concrete.

Yep, it's sand. That's part of the water issues: Whatever you drop into the soil, it will move eveyrwhere, there is no stone or clay to stop it.

I was complaining about how long the battery building was taking 2 years ago, and its still under construction. Its a good thing the Egyptians didnt hire germans to build the pyramids because they would be be under construction today

You have to understand this is how tesla works. They are producing cars WHILE building at the same time. Most companies would never do this. Only after 2 -3 years, tesla is already making cars. That is amazing. You need to look at Fremont factory. That is much more messy. 😂

@@richmargin6082 : I'm comparing yes: today I looked at the factory in texas: there's construction going on there too - apparently all the time - but the big monster constructions on the roof don't exist there - everything looks so comprehensible.
you can deduce from it what is made - how it is made and what it looks like inside!
      ua-cam.com/video/fgN9zENkr08/v-deo.html
without question, permanent adaptation is an important and necessary measure: you can see that the traditional vehicle manufacturers, for example in england, with their rigid, small vehicle construction, were never able to produce the required quantities of vehicles!
this is also a mistake in terms of process technology, with morgan to this day!
but you can also see that the german manufacturers, with their permanent inflexibility, are doomed, so to speak, of their own accord!
tesla doesn't really do anything better than others: they're just flexible and constantly adapting and changing!
it's like apple when they started building other computers back then: it's the same concept - only smaller components and new concepts, also in terms of design! but today apple is also inflexible! i have a number of older apple computers which, although they were expensive at the time, simply looked nicer on a tidy desk than the technical monsters of all other manufacturers!
they were simply more delicate, more aesthetic: but better not - with this white plastic, which quickly scratched - i.e. was imperfect - with every use!
i have never driven a tesla myself - but i'm very good at vehicle production - to realize that the time of today's vehicles is actually long gone!
today many vehicles look the same - and full of garbage too!
i analyze the way other manufacturers work - to learn from it: that has become very difficult today!
that's why i'm trying to analyze the concepts of that time - for example the english still make the morgan out of wood - and to find a meaningful use for new uses for me.
      grabcad.com/library/wooden-structure-for-a-brick-building-2-1
the example in grabcad- is about the production of a vehicle- where below the engine production and the production of the chassis takes place- from above from the carpentry above- the wooden constructions of the vehicle body are put on!
the narrowness of the premises - which morgan still uses to this day - can still be optimized through improved procedural use.
the advantage is: you can start any production in it - which does not require any significant financial resources: so you don't have to dispose of expensive machines or buy new machines.
earlier productions benefited from normal materials: today's sheets in the presses are hard, thin - so they require completely different machines - large - than in a vehicle parts press that was common at the time.
today's customary segmentation of the outer vehicle panels no longer requires a really large machine segment, so it also works quite well on small machines with interchangeable press inserts!
the be-all and end-all is always the vehicle frame.
As you can see, the basic requirements with old vehicles - in terms of vehicle manufacture - are French
renault hy, where the engine and chassis can simply be separated and removed with a floor panel - unbeatable! this is ingenious and exemplary, because it shows that the manufacturing technologies today are based on the generally wrong!
also the vehicle that i constructed there
      grabcad.com/library/vehicle-for-use-as-a-mobile-self-service-restaurant-1
based on this concept: a base plate and attachable components, which are determined by a supporting structure made of wood!
the vehicle doesn't even have doors at the front - you can open the driver's cab to the front, let it slide out - get in - or get in directly from behind, since the vehicle is consistently high enough to be walked on!
people are now taking the path that i have always taken: the path from metal to wood-based materials!
      www.spiegel.de/auto/aktuell/holz-im-autobau-zurueck-zu-den-rootn-a-1087249.html
yes, of course: tesla goes its own way - no matter where it leads!
if the German car manufacturers go down the drain, so to speak - now even the Vietnamese are pushing their vehicles to Germany - then it's over with car manufacturing in Germany!
it goes on like this for a while and whoever is already there, like tesla, can position himself! but the cheap providers are pushing massively here: then the question is how long tesla can hold out!
tesla benefits from the fact that there are groups of buyers in asia who spend money on the vehicle and because there is a very good charging station location in asia!
here is desert! there is little!
thanks for your feedback! I always find it exciting to exchange ideas!

When you thought that the "music" could not get more irritating, obnoxious or distracting: Here it is! Too bad you don't understand either English or German: there is no "smoke" (i.e. quarzen or schmok) in this video at 14:22, only STEAM! To help your understanding steam in German is: wrasen or wasserdampf or several other words which are less specific. Smoke is the particulate residue of combustion, steam is vaporized water, not exactly the same, is it?
