Rudy, I've learned to appreciate folks and what they sell at local markets, as well. 😄 Funny, my favorite is always the local 🍯
Happy Memorial Day Rudy, Victor, our veterans who returned alive & those who died in combat. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I go to our farmer's market every 2 to 3 weeks. Got baby tomato plants for $1 each and a dozen eggs for $3 last week.
Look at your blue skies... with no chem trails
@@galeparker1067 maybe they are busy harrping over some other country. Why couldn't somebody manipulate the weather last year to prevent the drought humm maybe they caused the drought?
Hello AP and community
Love nice little boring towns. I'd love the wooden utensils and the cutting boards. I'd definitely get in trouble at that place. I saw at least 5 things I'd have gone home with.
There was an Olive coffee mug I would have snatched up, ASAP.👍😀 I used to do pottery and have shows at the Cherry Blossom Festival and other events in Georgia. The only pieces I have now are rejects that didn't meet my standard to sell.
We call that a flea market here in Pa
Rudy, your dog looks so sweet! So, one of my uncles had worked on the pipeline up there back in the 60's. Unfortunately, he was murdered there in fairbanks. I was about 7 & have no memory of him. That 1lb propane tank...here in Eugene, cost about $3 up until about a yr ago. Its CRAZY! LUCRETIA
You had a fun time shopping. We haven't been to our market in over 10 years. Would love to go and see what they have. 👍 Glad you had some fun. Have a nice rest of your Memorial weekend. Blessings.💙
Great walk thru 👏👌👍🙌
Rudy-I’m was born in Ak in 1957,in Anchorage-ended up working at BERNIES-and then at Feed n Fuel -this was during pipeline days- oh watching ur channel brings back memories!!!’
The cups are so beautiful!
Nice outing. Thank you for taking us along.
Thanks for the tour.
I love going to the flea markets! So much fun! I would have bought the honey also!
I'd love to have all those ceramic cups. I adore pottery.
We live in a small boring one horse 1 blinking light town.
I'm gonna guess you dropped about 300 on supplies. You should have some sort of contest.
What a tease, I would have liked to have seen more of the market 😔
I am so grateful for my Amish friends! I can get 5 gallons of honey every year including this year for 180.00! Extracted right into my five gallon pail and then I pick it up the next day. Looks like a great day out.
Oh my goodness….what a awesome video and Thank you!!!!! Giving back is everything. And this just warms my heart especially in this crazy world now. It doesn’t matter what state I’m in?! I am always giving (food) to the homeless. I’ve been told by friends/family to slow my roll. Or I am gonna be the one homeless!? lol But God told us to help the needy. This was instilled by my mother as a little girl. And I love to pass out lunch bags to the homeless here in my local town. I make (homemade) sandwiches, juice and cookies including female/male hygiene kits with toothbrush, deodorant, soap, shavers etc. As I am a retired hospice CNA by trade and I seen the needs!! Most often it’s addiction or mental illness too?! But we are encountering lots of homeless/squatters in our back property now. Obviously in Alaska there’s not a lot of places for them to go. And now are taking resident in my back property. Ekk Its summer and there’s over 22 acres of woods. We have police officers living in our subdivision. They are on it!! And I’m like a dog with a bone chasing them off too. lol Obviously we can’t afford to move at this point. And I am no longer feeling secure and our area. What would you do?? Hugs to all✌️💓
We got a 5 litre (1.3 US gallon) thermos flask and it’s come in very handy since our boiler packed up. 3 kettles of water fills it up and it stays hot for 24 hours and warm for longer. Works out much cheaper than boiling the kettle throughout the day, too, because absolutely none gets wasted. I also got a temperature control kettle and it’s saved me quite a bit- very rarely need to boil the water now, 70° is ample for most things. Using a meter it showed me a difference of 2.7p per litre.
Hey Rudy! Thank you for taking us along with you to the farmers market and REI. It's always fun going shopping with you. God bless.
Karma is beautiful 😍
One of the most delicious homemade items I’ve ever had was rosehip jam when I was visiting Alaska 😋
Om listen to that music...thinking....made my day
👍Memorial Day highlights. Nice shopping venues!! Blue sky made it even better!
I love the wooden spoons and cutting boards.
Very nice, loved the MUSIC 🎶 🎵 👌 ❤ he should be playing in a jazz club..
Thank you for taking us along. You done messed up by trying those skittles lol. They are easy to make and hard to put down.
My car broke down once and the organic stores are far away. I did my grocery shopping at the farmers market a country block away. eggs, cheese, meat, bread, fruit veggies every thing but milk. :) and wow was it ALL good. I got org cheese and fr and veg, meat was seafood and I bought my sweetener, honey. As a prepper skill quiz, even if you do not buy, see how much you like, how many food groups you can source, meals you can make from your farmers market. Beauty and house hold needs. Last time there was on eof those "refill bottles" venders there.
Thank you Rudy! I enjoyed going on the virtual tour today. It's been 7 years since I was in Alaska!
Oh wow!! I love 💕❤️ this video... How cool... TY AP!!
Thank you AP and all for your service to our country.
Best vidio yet - no doom & gloom. God bless / remember all our vets - good men died for us !!
Aww, Karma!❤😁 Going to watch this now and catch up on your missed videos later. Busy busy times for all. Expensive yes but much labor involved in homemade items! It looks like a lovely market! Wonderful! God bless everyone. Thank you for showing us around AP and have a memorable Memorial Day and thank all servicemen (women included) for your service and sacrifice. 🙏❤🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
That looked like a lot of fun AP. I love the farmers markets.
Thank you for taking us along on your outing!
Love love love farmers markets.
Rudy you won't be disappointed. I have 2 of those jet boils..They work great..Very light to carry in a backpack with your frezze dried food..Good emergency stove..Stock up on those propane cylinders also.
I have always enjoyed farmers markets.
Oh my gosh ! I want everything at REI. I loved your farmers market. This was a great video sir!
Omgoodness wish I was with you
thanks for another great video !
Wooow..., I love that music...at the corner..🤩💙👍
Fun video! Thank you.
What a lovely day!
In case you didn't see it.....i caught that sax player....gold
How fun!! I used to love going to the open air mercados as a child with my small basket. But even more fun was the bargaining! And the braziers with skewered meats and veggies which a lot of gringos won't eat??? Delicioso! (Mind you, I am a gringa!) Here in the states flea markets were as close an event to my Latinoamericano childhood as I can get. And if I see any Latinas selling... Ah! Fun!! Bargaining. So thank you for bringing back the fragrances of long ago memories, Rudy! Blessings!
Really enjoyed the sax. Really great background music for your vid.
Our Walmart is out of the 1 lb propane’s hope they get them in again!
They had them at the Walmart here and the price had popped up to almost 10 bucks. I have a 20 lb propane tank and a long adapted hose to fix that problem.
I've heard that there is a gizmo in the u.s. that allows you to refill 1lb propane tanks. Anybody have any experience with that? Sounds kind of dangerous..... ✌️🥰🇨🇦
@@galeparker1067 I believe Rogue Preparedness had a video about using 1 pound propane canisters. She linked to amazon on refill.
I love the musician that was beautiful...
Good content
Quote of the day Rudy. “I don’t want to like them or I will come back and buy more.”😁
Looks like a lot of fun also i noticed at my walmart they started stocking nutrient survival foods in there so if ya leery about trying out their foods u can pick some up at a walmart at a decent of enough price in single packets and see if ya like them.
Buying nutrient survival food from the largest cheapo company in the USA. That's a hard no. You might as well buy guns from a federal agent while youre at it.
I love the Fairbanks farmers market. I had the best mushroom soup there a few years ago. My brother lives in Fairbanks. I’m in SoCal.
I can't believe that was your first FD skittles! lol
Great show Rudy put me down for a bag of skittles after u make them
I loved the saxophone music 😊
Well that made me want to go and watch old episodes of Northern Exposure….
Love to look around theses places myself
I FD skittles and other candy. The grandkids love them.
I miss that market, I lived in that area 18 years, I still think it's one if THE BEST I've ever been to! Enjoy, I'm actually jelly!!! 💕
What a Loverly Market. 👍
Did you get some starters. 🍅
TFS AP, & take care too everyone. ❤🙂🐶
I have almost 400 pieces of pottery I've made. A lot of them look similar to the ones you saw. Buy one use it. The potter will make another if you break it. As a potter I was taught not to get attached to them and just make another. And I have given away quite a few. LOL.
wish our farmers market were like this in detroit suburbs.
I wish we had a farmers market at my small town
the cups are pretty. The bread is nice a big.
The farmers market is such an important part of a local community. This year it will be vital to getting fresh produce into the hands of people who live in your community. As a farmers market vendor, the prices, for the most part, don't really reflect the actual price of the veggies you're buying. I spent about 40hrs a week in my garden, another 16 hours baking, 12 hrs at the market, 8 hrs preppi g fpr the market and worked 32hrs at my regular job each week. A bunch of radishes cost $2, a pound of carrots $2, $3/lb for tomatoes... If you take into consideration my time, supplies, gas, market fees, water....I got paid about 50cents an hour....the prices are not high at the market.
I’m in wasilla and never been to the Fairbanks markets, I think I need to make a little road trip up.
The Texas, shooting response is proof you need to own firearm and carry it at all times.
Wow, I can get a qt of local honey for $16-$18 here
Gasp you missed the honey bakery right behind you!
love farmers markets please slow down 2 seconds when videoing- love your videos keep up the good work
I love my local farmers market. I found corn locally for $25/case (not bushel) debating on grabbing 4 to vac seal for the freezer. Used to be able to get a gallon of local honey for $75...I'm scared to know the price for a gallon now. I'll look next trip.
When the seasonal fruit and veggies comein, people that say they cant prep because of living in the city can buy flats and process those.
The price went way up on the 1 pound propane.
movie, 'the big fix'
Tanana is pronounced Tan-ah-nah Athabaskan name for the Tanana River means straight water.. Happy Memorial Day
Store was overpriced. I hear that Yeti's are good.
dogieeeeeee! ❤️❤️❤️
Better half did skittles. She wasn’t impressed and neither of of us eat that kind of candy . Our friends appreciate it though 😁 Have a great evening
Following from wis
👍👍👍
it is a wonderful world 🌍💓
Ugh, got motion sick from your moving. LOL!###
I sell freeze dried skittles and I can’t keep them in stock.
Wow! lots of crafters see people that is what you need. Hopefully, the person there makes them and not imported from China or something. On the other side, that is what we will be needing. See L&G, they process every product that they can very little is wasted in agriculture when a real live person grows it. it is nice bc you do not have just one product to have access to but several. A small local bus owner will provide several jproducts there is no shipping this off to here and that there for somebody else to get their piece out of it. When products are well made and expensive that makes them dear, there is no misuse, throwing away just to go to the $ store to get another. Everything in your house is well made, no cheap crp, heirlooms to save the kids money, earth friendly because not constantly buying which saves you money, easy on the planet because they are prized and taken care of.
I do hope you tipped that sax player a dollar or more 🙃
WALMART HAS GONE UP A LOT ON THEIR COLEMAN FUEL....FROM $8 for two to $34 for here in East Texas...✌️❤️💥😇🌎❕
The food prices are double that of walmart.
Thats because walmart buys in massive bulk from farmers who hire illegals and pay them diddly squat.
Flea market is a little better shopping price. Farmers market while nice tends to be over priced. This is not to say that it's not quality and support for the small products is wrong just a lot of times for the similar type of product you can get it much cheaper. If it was a little bit more expensive then fine but a lot of times people over price it.
Jéj, so beautiful
I sawa pound cake gluten free regule pc size $18
You drug I in and maid I hungry now I'm FAT ? :)
You just became one of the people I hate 😂 jk. I'm one of those that hate when people take their dogs to public events.
