This is a real cool setup, not too dark at all and still blocks heat. It gets annoying when people say light ceramic tints are 'not worth it' because you can still see inside the car. Maybe that's not everyone's priority when getting tint...

Yes I agree, I don't like dark limo tint anymore. Thanks for watching 🍻🤙

This helped me decide to go with 55 for all windows on my Miata. Thank You.

I just learned that there are film for people with skin condition like cancer . Those films are 100% clear , they cost about the same price as the premium xpel xr plus.. its been two weeks since i watched your video and i am still undecided, my tinting appointment is in two days.. option A : 70% windshield + 55% all sides.. option B : 70% all windows. Option C: no tint on windshield and 70% sides.. option D. Just leave the car like that. Our local law is (no tint on windshield, 70% on front side) .. just like you my godfeeling tells me to put 70% all around.. but during daytime with the big sun, i definitely prefer the 55% on the side.. but as we get closer to dawn.. the 55% is becoming too dark,, enough that i roll down the glass. (I won't be able to roll down when it rains or with the snow (too cold). And at night, eventhough we can see through the 55%.. it is slightly dark especially on country roads with no city lamp…. Even the 70% on the side is kinda dark and serve no purpose other than making slightly more difficult to see on your sides. How do i know if my appointment is in two days? Because i put some samples on the driver side glass.. i have 45% yes 45% ! About 6”x6” of 45% and next to it another piece of 70%. And the rest of the glass was just clear. At night in urban area. I could tolerate 70% but not the 45%. . But i have a preference for a roll down window. No glass whatsoever . For country road at night, i prefer to have the windows closed.. because it is too chill/cold. But definitely i prefer no tint over 70%… on any side. But i hate wearing sunglasses. So i may put 70% on the windshield.. oh man i don't know,,

I like this combination, 50/70. Driving at night with 35% side glass is a bit too dark for me in our other car. 70% is OK for windshield. The solar heat reduction of the ceramic tint is awesome.

So the 50 does not create the mirror problem inside on the glass at night?

Im definable on light side.. me too i prefer no tint from a practical point of view.. maybe im a little claustrophobic .. but from aesthetic point of view ofcourse darker looks better .. but i will not sacrify safety and pleasure for aesthetic.. therefor to me clear is better. Im my area we can not tint windshield and front side has to allow 70% light in. But it look dumb to have multiple tones.. so i will probably go with 70% every windows or 50% every windows. Still not sure what to do.. also there's a huge increase in price from xpel xr to xpel xr plus.. the xr plus is almost double the price and it has a more blueish tint.. actually the xr non-plus is more charcoal. i like the blue aesthetic tint but im affraid i will hate it in long term… i like natural color.. It's like cheap sunglass vs expensive sunglasses. We can see the difference.. i find car tint film still look very bad.. (like cheap sunglasses) nothing beats 100% clear yet

Thank you for this beautiful video ! I’m thinking to put 55 on my windshield , do you think it would be an issue driving at night ? Thank you

55% will be fine, I have it on my other car and I like it better than the 70%. I don't recommend any darker than 55% though. Make sure it's ceramic also. Thanks for watching!

Great vid with great content. I always thought that the hatch on the MX would be tough to tint without bubbles/defects, but yours looks great and has stood the test of time. Thanks for putting out content on these cars which are vastly underserved. Are you still running the B6D? That's a great engine! I know you refer to this car as the "NA" car. Are you planning to mod the B6 or is a swap in the works? Anyway, as these cars get rarer and rarer, I am more and more thankful I have one. Keep the quality coming!

Thanks man, yes I still have the 1.6 b6d, but I have plans to do a 2.5 mzr swap from a mazda 3 in the near future🤞. I'll keep the mx3 content coming, thanks for watching and your support!🍻🤙

Was there tint film on the windows before you had the ceramic film fitted?
(I use fitted advisedly..poor job! Were you able to get rid of the bubbles?)
Mine has tint film but I’d like to swap to ceramic for its superior exclusion of infrared.
The infrared performance was way better than conventional tint film with the benefit of lower a/c temperature.
The 55 looks good..no need for regret re the 70. Good to know you found the ceramic film worthwhile.
It’s interesting that you’re permitted to have a tinted windscreen.
In New South Wales, Australia, windscreens must be tint free.
It’s tough because in the extreme sun the driver and passenger are fried on the chest and stomach😅😅😅

There was no tint, crystal clear glass. Everything is good now thankfully. I highly recommend the ceramic tint, way better than the conventional dyed tint. The 70% windshield tint makes a world of difference in regards to the heat/UV protection and is not noticeable at all. Thanks for watching man!

Nice video, I have a question for you: What about the light reflection from inside?
My car has a heads-up display that projects vehicle information, such as speed, onto the windshield. This display is rectangular in shape and is located right behind the steering wheel. When I have the sun in front of me, the reflection of this display on the windshield appears right in front of my eyes. It is very bad. I was thinking of using a dual-layer ceramic 70% tint, but looking at your video, seems you still have light reflection.
Considering your experience, do you have an opinion or feedback to share? Do you think ceramic tint could solve the issue?
Have you noticed more reflective light with the 70% or the 55%? Thank you very much.

      2-Layer Ceramic Tint 70%.
I don't even know what brand, this is the description on my bill:
Offering the best infrared heat rejection thanks to its multi-layer nanoparticle technology, the Two-Layer Ceramic
Tint combines privacy with extreme performance. Enjoy the comfort of a flm that blocks up to 98% of the sun’s
infrared heat so you can stay cool even when using the lighter shades for improved visibility.
