  • On March 30th, a newly discovered and extremely rare photo of courageous abolitionist and Civil War spy Harriet Tubman (c.1822 - March 10, 1913) is set to be auctioned off by New York City auction house Swann Galleries. In response, the Harriet Tubman Home, a 32-acre newly designated national historical site in Auburn, New York, which survives on minimal donations to keep the homestead on which Tubman lived for more than 50 years open to the public, is launching its first-ever crowdfunding campaign, #BringHarrietHome. Set to go live on Tuesday, March 7th, the non-profit’s goal is to inspire the wide and generous support of the public so it can raise the funds necessary to participate in the auction as a competitive bidder and bring Harriet home.
Together, we can #BringHarrietHome. Support this campaign now on Women You Should Fund at www.womenyoush...

@@AR-uz6kq thank you for the offer. I will be able to send a very small amount to y'all asap. I am not sure i need anything at the moment myself. I would not be comfortable taking from another anything unless it were life threatening. My internet has been down i was in the hospital a week. I have to go in next week again. I have cheap stuff and pinch pennies and shop smart but am not without food and water today. Thank you ma am. If you see anyone in small need of food or something. If you have a sandwich for a homeless woman someday maybe. They are so damaged. So much untreated mental and medical issues making dysfunction. I am praying to find a way. Save your energy for the one coming out 2nd starring and produced by Viola Davis. They're using actual artifacts and it will be historically correct with ancestral foundations inclusive. The one with erivo is a disgrace aa she has shown disdain for Queen Tubman and her people all of her career

I just saw this channel and I was told about Harriet Tubman by parents and grandparents, I was never taught about her in school. I don't think any school teach much history anymore. I hope you have much success in keeping her memories ALIVE, I was told Harriett help was a conductor for the underground railroad and she helped free SLAVES, She was a great and wonderful woman. We need a Harriet Tubman TODAY..

up date 10/28/2019 >The rare photo of a younger Harriet Tubman has been sold at auction for $161,000 and the highest bidder wasn’t Tubman’s Auburn, N.Y. The New York City company announced the artifact was purchased by Manhattan-based dealer Lion Heart Autographs for $130,000 and a $31,000 buyer’s premium, according to the Associated Press. The expected sale price was $20,000-$30,000, which is in the range the Harriet Tubman home was prepared to pay out. The organization had raised $28,000 on the Women You Should Know campaign website, $3,000 more than its goal.

William Seward helped Harriet Tubman to purchase her first home in Auburn, New York. He was the Secretary of State under President Abraham Lincoln. Harriet lived at 180 South Street, and he lived at 33 South Street.
Seward was one of the men who was targeted to be assassinated on the same day that President Lincoln was assassinated. Seward was severely wounded by one of the two men who conspired with John Wilkes Booth. However, it is very important that everyone remember that the Jesuits, who are the most powerful members of the Catholic Church Hierarchy, planned the Assassinations. They gave the plan to Mary Surratt's Son, and he told John Wilkes Booth, who was Jewish, and the other conspirators what to do.
John Wilkes Booth escaped and fled to Indiana, where he died 17 years later. John Surratt fled to Canada, and about a year later, he was taken to the Vatican, where he received an honor from Pope Pius IX for his assistance in the assassination of President Lincoln.
However, two years later, the United States government found out where he was and brought him back to the United States to stand trial for the murder of President Lincoln, but he he was not convicted because the trial took place in Washington, D.C. which was carved out of the State of Maryland, which is a Catholic State, so most of the jury members were Catholic.
I met and spoke with a descendant of William Seward when I was in Arizona a few years ago, and he was interested to know that I had lived on Seward Street in Rochester, New York, not far from the home of Susan B. Anthony, who was a leader in the struggle for Women's Rights.

WWhy doesn't the US Govt pay for the maintenance of this remarkable saintly woman's belongings and her whole estate???? If she is truly a national heroine,a Union spy and secret agent and a liberator of hundreds of Africans in slavery-it wasn't 70 people, it was hundreds if you count her work in the war and ALL her brave incursions into the rebel south....

Wonderful photo of this brave woman. But to sell auction off her items is like slave trade returned. This and any of HT artifacts should be gifted to the rightful owner. Slavery has been abolished though slavery modernized still exists. To sell photo of this woman would be a disgrace. To cherish it would be a humanitarian gesture as she was humanitarian freeing slaves
