1. Yes.
Mix a cleaning solution using laundry detergent or dish soap. ... Using a sponge dipped in CLEAR water, wipe down the harness to remove the suds and soap residue. Let the safety harness dry in room temperature air. DO NOT use a mechanical heat dryer or expose the harness to long periods of sun-drying.
2. 05 Years
Safety harnesses and lanyards have a 05-year lifespan from the date of manufacture, which must be written on the PPE's compliance label along with the date of destroy. However the majority of harnesses and lanyards will not make it to the end of that 05 year lifespan, having been tagged out of service well before then.
*Hardly 1.5 Years Only a Safety Belt will be in good Condition to take into use..That also Based On the Use.*

Sir fall arrest need to be used when working above 6 meter height and then is it required in all Sort of height work for example scaffolding ,ladder and areas where no availability of guard rails
