Thanks to your earlier review I bought the M1 Plus. What a super good machine. My first wireless after using the Cheyenne Hawk and the Cheyenne Sol Nova. These will be my backup machines. And you’re right because it’s very versatile and a bang for the buck.
Acus is my first wireless machine because this is the first one ever which can be fully sterilized and not just wrapped outside like all other ones! top 🔝
Couldn't agree more. For what you get there's nothing else between $800-1600 that compares. You just get so many options for the money. I would tell people to invest in that 4.1 cam. It's their best one.

I’ve used pretty much every machine out there except the Acus and I just know when I do pick it up that’ll be my number 1
That's exactly how I feel about this machine. I've been using this machine for about 2 years, I do use the 5mm stroke for lining, and it's pretty good. Personally, I don't feel the need for more torque, but I do feel the need for a second machine to be able to use two strokes at the same time. I was thinking about the Vlad Blad 3, but it's so expensive for the purpose. Neuma is an option or the Bishop wand linner...I'm not sure. An Acus update would me much appreciated. BTW do you find the Critical torque better than the M1 for lining?
@@adamdarklord I think the perfect set up for me at the moment would be the wand liner just for the lines and stipple shading and de Acus m1 for all the rest. I'm feeling the need for dedicated liner.
The hygienic stand point don’t sell for me when 90% of shops now don’t have any autoclave. And no madacide is not sterilizing. Buttons are placed sketchy to me, and having to break down the machine to change stroke is not very appealing to me. Grip is to short to put barrier etc so it’s also annoying. Doing mostly color work I rather have a 5.0 torque , having tested both there is not a world where the acus does it better for me. Totally got it would be different if I was doing black and grey. I got the bishop powerwand shader, packer, liner and had the sol nova unlimited 3.5 and 5mm in the past. Just ordered the m1 with 5mm stroke and 4.1 stroke.. I do mostly fine line/ 3RL B&G aswel as dotwork. Could you recommend the cams/settings you think I should try out with this? I use the packer mostly at 6.3v for fineline and 4.6v for pepper shading and 5.5v dotwork.
@@adamdarklord can’t wait!! What do you recommend for fine lining with it? I love to feel the skin break up when I use smaller needles so I get a comfortable depth feel. For bigger liners I always rely on instinct but fine liners i rely on the skin feedback.
@@adamdarklord I used it the first time today, at 110hz with m+2 and 4.1 cam. To see if I could line a 14 round shader with it. And it did 😢. It has almost the same amount of power with the 4.1 cam as the liner from bishop does. Can't wait to try out the stippling and fineline with it. Feels great to stay at the same hz and just change torque depending on needle/skin. How it should be! An artist should be able to operate their machine, not constantly adapt themselfs. What a fucking hack this machine is. Gladly satisfied with it.
Kia ora wanau - A question, I own the M1 with the 5mm Cam and also the M1 Heavy Grip... you klnow where Im going with this right, so far I have yet to feel like this thing does Lining with either an 11rl up to bolder and been happy with its speed, ability to push the ink, its just not feeling like it does a quick, nice and easy job. I do Moko - Māori tattoo and Im left feeling a lil disappointed. Anyone else's vibes on Lining big lines etc with this machine? I see a lot of poepl edoing shading and packing but I don't see a lot dong lines or bold lines> Thanks team

The Acus is at Number one still for me best all around machine the Torque is like number 3 or 4 for me…. It’s build quality and design in amazing I just prefer the replaceable battery and the Torque has high torque so it’s more tuned for lines and color not so much for black and gray…. But they are working on a black and gray soft Torque currently so I’m interested to see how that turns out!

As an apprentice finding a hygienic machine has become a anxiety quest for me. My preferred style is ornamental and fine line and I’m desperate to find a machine that I can afford and grow with. I usually tattoo under 5.8 volts and that took the EZPro out for me. Thought about the Sol Nova but again hygiene concerns. This might have to be the one for me- unless you need ow of a cheaper dupe 🙃?????
No other companies done it like this machine! Non a single Chinese knock off on the market… it’s honestly crazy. Buy it up and get the 4.1 stroke cam! Maybe if you message them on instagram and tell them you seen my videos, maybe they can pass you a discount code 🤷♂️

So funny so it’s the most customizable but you never change anything and I love it I kinda think it’s the best to get used to it how you can and I’m just starting and so interested because rotary machines make me think I need lower volt idk and the depth idk either
The machine is good because you can set it up to how ever you like. The motors in rotary’s are different than coil machines. 13v on some coil machines is like the same as 7v on some rotary machines. That’s why this machine has hertz because that’s the true speed of the needle. Volts is not an accurate gauge of speed between different tattoo machines. Watch the hour long review I did on this machine this video isn’t technically a review it’s just my opinion on the machine after using it many hours.
The Acus is a rich man’s Turbo lol The turbo is a little more punchy feeling than the Acus. The Acus also has the replaceable battery which the Turbo doesn’t. I’d say use the turbo till you save up for the Acus the biggest difference you will feel is the build quality. I love both the machines honestly. It’s so much harder to film a comparison video it takes at least 2 or 3 times longer but both are popular machines so I do feel it’s needed… 🤔

I also think these machines are a great representation of what the standard pen machine should be. Being able to clean inside your machine easily is so important

@adamdarklord ill definitely let you kno what i think of it! I get it in 2 days. But I think both of those companies deserve a good sucking off tho, no diddy. Being able to access the drive bar and clean your machine fully Should be something apprentices are taught from the jump. And with companies like this, making it easier to do between every tattoo is extremely cool to see!
The FK ONE has a brushed motor so instantly it has more vibration and sound so it feels like it has more power so it’s hard to say. I didn’t use the ONE much at all, I used it maybe 10 hours total. It has more thump to it than the Acus but I didn’t feel like the ONE was that good for packing color and line work as the Acus is. I’d assume the Acus has more torque because it has a way better more expensive motor in it but I can’t say for sure.
with a stroke of 4.1mm, it is a wow tattoo machine. But when I work one layer, the skin turns very red, do you have any idea how I could get rid of the redness? thank you
🤔 I have no redness… Are you talking about when you do gray wash or with everything you do? I can make the skin very red if I’m tattooing with like pure water like if you’re using a super watered down light tone gray wash otherwise I don’t think I could make the skin red if I tried 😅 Maybe your hand speed is very fast and the machine isn’t keeping up. Try to raise the hz to like 100- 110hz
@@adamdarklord only for light and medium gray washes. Everything else is ok. I think you are right that on m-1 the speed decreases and the speed of my hand remains the same as on m+2 😂
It’s hard to explain… the machine has a perfectly balanced cam and that’s why it feels so soft. Machines that feel like they have more punch to them is because the cam isn’t perfectly balanced so you can feel the error in it. Acus told me they currently don’t want to make a cam with an error in its balance. Overall the M1 has more power than almost any pen machine. It’s very strong it just has a perfectly balanced cam so it’s hard to get used to. I thought it was soft when I got it but I got used to it and now it feels like it puts ink in crazy fast. Hope it starts working better for you because it’s a very amazing machine
@@adamdarklord @M2 with 4.1 cam on 90hz I was getting patchy color packing. I switched over to my Bishop packer and everything came out smooth. I just recently inform to pack on -2 so if that works then I might sale my Bishops.
I have been using this tattoo machine for several days. I use about 3.7mm on different settings. makes super soft shadows, works well on 5-7rl. I don't really like the black packaging, I'll try it on 4.5mm. over all the car feels like unlimited 3.5 but much better and much softer. I've been tattooing with a fkflux for over 2 years and it's probably harder for me to adapt to a machine as soft as the m1. All in all, the m1 is a good, versatile car, I don't recommend it to beginners because you have to give it a lot of time to learn it and use it to its true potential. above all, this car is not a game changer and does not bring anything very innovative, but it is a good car that is worth the money.
I’ve used the flux 4.0 since it first came out up until I got the Acus. Have you tried the 4.1 on m2? It feels way better than the 3.7 if you’re coming from the flux. You dont want to use bug pin needles to pack solid black. I went from using bug pins with the flux to standard needles with the Acus. Think it took me about 2 tattoos to adapt to it
@@adamdarklord today I worked with 4.5mm installed on m1. the machine feels much better than 3.7mm, only that the cartridges are much louder and more tense, but they work. I will probably buy 4.1mm. with 4.5mm it is much closer to the fkflux shot. a car that I like but dislike at the same time. it's a strange feeling 😂😂 I have to work for a few days until I find my optimal settings. It has so many options it makes me feel like a child with a toy 😂😂 At the moment I'm still exploring the modes.
@@silviotattoo3725 Yeah 4.5 is a lot of tension on the needle cartridge that’s why I never use that stroke length. That’s the max length most cartridge can do. It is a very smooth machine so I get it, It throws you off when you first use it. I remember the first tattoo I did with it I was panicking because I thought the ink wasn’t going in lol then I did m2 and got the 4.1 and it changed everything. That’s why I’m confused when people are doing huge color pieces in 3.7 at m-1 or something, that’s wayyyy too soft the tattoo would take forever to do

This battery method is actually superior compared to a sealed battery with type c port. I got a pretty quick system down for changing the battery during a tattoo but yeah it not fun when you have to

I was stunned on how bad (slow) this machine is to line…and i’m not the only one First i thought its because i’m used to line with V6 and DMC.But then i tried the OG Packer,and it lines so much better than Acus And yes i gave it a fair chance before saying its a shite liner…around 10-12 tattoos
@@roytumbelaka you definitely have to go slower to line. It’s the same motor that’s in the Bishop Packer but the Acus uses Aluminum cams rather than Brass cams…. In fact that was the first time I thought about the material of the cam lol If they just released brass cams I bet it would slap a lot harder. I’ll message them and ask 🤔

This machine is amazing for fine line and stipple, especially with the 4.1 or 4.5 cam. The machine can good very slow and still hit hard. You can change to m mode on it if you want it to hit more like a coil

I got the 3.5 torque and it’s good for outlining but I was constantly over working the skin just a little bit with that machine compared to the Acus

If you get the Acus the new heavy drive rod is pretty cool
So acus released a software update have you updated yours I did and still feels good nice and punchy and smooth but the hertz buttons are switched now

I want to love this machine but I can’t get this machine to work properly. Even at m2 90hz the machine hits too soft for me 😢

@@silviotattoo3725 Yeah 4.5 is a lot of tension on the needle cartridge that’s why I never use that stroke length. That’s the max length most cartridge can do.
It is a very smooth machine so I get it, It throws you off when you first use it.
I remember the first tattoo I did with it I was panicking because I thought the ink wasn’t going in lol then I did m2 and got the 4.1 and it changed everything. That’s why I’m confused when people are doing huge color pieces in 3.7 at m-1 or something, that’s wayyyy too soft the tattoo would take forever to do

If you get a dot of ink on it you got to sand paper it off lol. I don’t use my flux max because it’s the storm trooper version it’s literally just for looks now.

This battery method is actually superior compared to a sealed battery with type c port. I got a pretty quick system down for changing the battery during a tattoo but yeah it not fun when you have to

I was stunned on how bad (slow) this machine is to line…and i’m not the only one
First i thought its because i’m used to line with V6 and DMC.But then i tried the OG Packer,and it lines so much better than Acus
And yes i gave it a fair chance before saying its a shite liner…around 10-12 tattoos
@@roytumbelaka you definitely have to go slower to line. It’s the same motor that’s in the Bishop Packer but the Acus uses Aluminum cams rather than Brass cams….
In fact that was the first time I thought about the material of the cam lol
If they just released brass cams I bet it would slap a lot harder. I’ll message them and ask 🤔

How is this machine for stippling and dotwork? Does it hit like a DK/coil? I’m looking for a new machine and between wand packer, flux max and acus. My style is mostly fine line and 3rl stippling/dotwork
This machine is amazing for fine line and stipple, especially with the 4.1 or 4.5 cam.
The machine can good very slow and still hit hard.
You can change to m mode on it if you want it to hit more like a coil
