In that time all the qualities get processed and are available immediately after making it public It’s good now, so maybe even just a 30-45 minute delay should be fine. All qualities are available now and I clicked on 50 minutes after publishing. Love your channel btw, you have a special eye for film making. You have to seal up anywhere that you drill into the boat and especially on the ground. Any water getting into the stringers of the boat (wood beams on the bottom) will create wood rot and it looks like there is already some wood rot. I would use marine sealant by 3M either 4200 or 5200! Great videos by the way!
ya no point sealing it up now its already rotten the only thing keeping it solid under foot is the glass of the deck. if I dont build a new boat this winter I'll cut the deck out and rebuild it

First, I’m a new sub and really like all your vids that I I’ve watched. To QueenMem: these fish are baitfish. They feed on plankton and other microscopic organisms. Snagging, as we call it down here in MS, is about the only way to catch these fish. We call them menhaden down here in the Gulf and use cast nets to catch them also. Don’t mean to sound harsh, I just hate when people who are ignorant to the tactics of fishing comment on something they don’t know about. Again, keep up the great vids. Joe in MS
Pogie. FFS great bait and run in BIG schools. We chase them up the Fore river and get what we can for lobster bait, ( non commercial) wasses and fries. 4 with just onion please. Freaking awesome. Damn now I have to drive to Rockland. 🤦🏼♂️
I can't speak for the fish that far north but we hit pogie pods with Sabiki rigs here in Florida which is basically a foot or 2 of leader with 6 or 8 bits of line tied to it and tiny circle hooks with what essentially small tufts of tinsel tied to the hooks. The pogies will destroy them and you'll pull up 2 or 3 bait fish at a time. No skill involved. Let it sink then jig it a bit as you reel it straight up and in. Just a thought.

Don't know if you have any shops by you but some of the butcher shops or grocery stores they used to hand out the back bones and fish skeletons and heads for salmon which make great bait just an idea
I know snagging salmon is illegal in the NW. I’ve seen wildlife enforcement catching people in Alaska doing it as well. Who knows for Maine and these bait fish though...
Right now it’s easier to catch a tuna than a mackerel though the bunker are in hard as you have shown and I’ve caught some huge striped bass underneath them

I also still could be misinformed as I don’t know the Rules and regulations for fishing in Maine and in different types of water ways but I did find this rule in the Fishing Regulation for the State of Maine. Snagging: It is unlawful to fish for any fish, except suckers, by snagging (Title 12, §12651 & Title 12, §12602)
Ok I was just stating what the Main fish and wildlife regulation. Thank you for clearing the matter up as I stated in my post I didn’t know if it was different in Maine with the different types of water ways. I wasn’t trying to troll anyone either, so I hope it didn’t come across as such. I just love fishing, even if I don’t get to go as much as I like and so I try to point out things that may be against the Rules. Not that long ago there was a Famous Bass fisherman that was caught snagging trophy Bass and photoing them as he caught them just to become more famous. Then there were stories from his past tournament partners that stated he was also using these same Bass in live tournaments that he would snag a day or two before. I guess he made some type of fish pen out in the lakes to keep them alive. People like that should be banned from fishing in general.

I’m empathetic to animals, and watching you guys hook/snag the fish, and throw them in the bloody cooler, seemed very inhumane to me. Especially, when it doesn’t have to be done this way. I grew up in the country with hunting and fishing all around me. I was taught to not let animals suffer -even when they’re food, even when they’re “just fish”.
I get what your saying. I love the natural world and feel blessed to be a part of it! I feel like i owe this place as much love and respect because it's such a gift to be here. I fish and hunt because i believe it's our natural order and i also think it's in our best interest to always be looking out for our shared home! It's defiantly like the old adage do unto others as you would have done unto you and i believe this is true for all God's creatures!
Fish lives matter but this is how it done u can fish all day for pogie with a lure and not catch a one. but its inportant to catch them fast and cast to keep catching so that we have enough bait to fill the lobster traps

All native birds are protected in the continental U.S. via Migratory Bird Treaty Act., gulls are included. Non-native birds like Rock Pigeons, starlings, and House Sparrows are not so you can catch & cook them as much as your heart desires (and that may help native bird populations)!

Seagulls are migratory birds, so they fall under the protection of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, so it’s a federal law, so no where in the States.

Is this kind of fishing legal? I thought this was called snagging, I was under the impression this was illegal. I could be wrong though.

That was a small sunfish they actually grow to be one of the biggest fish in the ocean eating primarily jellyfish
