Watch the inaugural bus journey by KKRTC's latest Volvo 9600 Sleeper bus from Sindhanur to Bengaluru. This is the KKRTC division's first Volvo 9600 bus. The two buses were inaugurated & flagged off by the local MLA & transport minister. These latest Volvo 9600 buses have a white livery like the original Ambaari Dream class. Personally, I like the white livery more than the blue one that Ambaari Utsav has. It looks more elegant in white. This bus is a 10 pm bus from the Sindhanur bus stand. The return bus from Bengaluru is a 10:15 p.m. bus. The bus route is via Gangavathi - Hospet. The bus does not enter the Gangavathi bus stand but waits outside. It halts at the Hospet bus stand for 10 mins break. We reached Bengaluru Majestic by 6:20 a.m. The bus crew were very friendly & supportive throughout the journey & halted for loo breaks whenever passengers requested. A total of 3 bus crew were there for the initial bus journey after which two bus crew would be onboard.

Should compliment KSRTC... They've been pioneers in introducing novelty buses since decades..
During 80s their light brown super deluxe luxury with push back seats(BOM-BLR) were much sought after.. (Which used as city bus later on..)
Their bus maintenance were top notch...
Used to travel Sirsi-belgavi-BoM (semi luxury- the bus had light blue /white livery with additional cushion seats with head rest compared to red /cream ordinary bus..which were very well maintained for long routes too)route during vacation..

PS: would be travelling by 9600 sharma transport BLR -BOM next month..

Travelled on both Volvo 9400 and 9600. I feel 9600 with b8r is very weak when compared to b11r engine in 9400. I frequently travel between Mangalore and Bangalore, and b8r engines struggles on ghat section, whereas b11r buses are capable of overtaking on hairpin bends
