We kicked off our Rolls-Royce mini-series in some style spending time with the beautiful 2017 Rolls-Royce Dawn in Malaga on the south coast of Spain.
Fun, sun, and a few surprises all made for a fantastic trip, with the most incredible hospitality from Sheik Abdullah Al Thani and his team at Malaga CF.

You mentioned that this is more a drivers car than the previous phantom drophead coupe. I would like your opinion on which you would purchase with your own money a last year drophead or a first year dawn? And why.

This is the most detailed review I have seen of a Dawn. I know I have to do something as my drop top Phantom is nearly 7 years old, I hate to give the room up. I live in the U.S. my nearest Rolls -Royce dealer is an 8-hour drive away. One of the biggest gripes I have read about is the typical German cheap chrome covered plastic steering wheel buttons and cover surround. From what I was able to see in your video, I really love the detail to the wood on the dash, top notch there.

You're welcome. Also, what's more important than the car is the driver's behaviour. Just seeing a smile on another driver's face, no matter what car he is driving, can brighten your day. Being friendly, responsible and helpful instead of honking, cutting in line and driving recklessly will give you more positive feedback than simply commanding a car worth $300k or more. Bonus points for the kids having fun of course.

Thank you for your very quick reply, on the video you left your little lady back at the ranch, she always rides shotgun and the two ankle biters ride in the back. I own a BMW Z3 and when ever I take it out on a sunny day, even if it us just warm the top comes down, for that I why I wanted and bought a convertible car, as well as to remind me of my Spitfire and TR4 days in the swinging 60s and early 70s and they really did swing.
You've got good taste in cars... and sounds like you enjoy them a lot too! And our video featured our man with his children, but he is happily divorced (so I'm told) so no little lady back at the ranch ;)
Amazing video but I think you should change the thumbnails on all of your videos because the first thing you see is the thumbnail, then you read the title and decide if you want to click on the video. With your thumbnails, it's very hard to see what's the content going to be about so in my opinion by putting a picture of the car, not some subtitles and color your channel will get more views and it will grow faster.

McDonalds? REALLY???
Who is this guy, he has a lend of a Rolls Royce Dawn and he picks the kids up and takes them to McDonalds, how common is that, and he had the hood up and down more times than a Hookers knickers, you're in sunny Malaga mate, you put the hood down and keep it down, I've only seen as far as the at wash, so I'll watch the rest of it now. Somebody should tell this guy that you never work with kids or animals.
It wouldn't be much of a car overview if we stuck the roof down once and drove around for 10 minutes in the sun! 😂 Thanks for watching and hope you like our other stuff 👍

There’s a virus threatening the world as we know it and you’re worried about cleaning a car after children use it as it’s intended to be used?
Lovecars I’m quarantined at home, doing my part. In 2017 there was no virus and maybe you should have taught your kids hygiene back then 😉. Even if it’s not about hygiene, it’s about the basic principle of taking care of your property. You seem like a great dad, it’s just the way I was taught makes me notice these kinds of things.
Anton Markov hi Anton, thanks for the tips! It’s a car. People / children can eat in cars! they are not sacred ground. The whole point of this video was to show that owning a £250k car doesn’t mean you are, or should be restricted in any way. My children know manners, but thank you very much for your concern! Hope you’re keeping safe and well and my children eating in a car hasn’t put you off our channel too much!!
PS. At absolutely no point did the children touch the car with their “grubby hands”. I’m sure you’ll know, but every parent carries wet wipes as standard. Cheers!
