In the last QnA (there's a summary on their website) they say this: "More focus on paid content, we’re working on the next heist after the already announced legacy heist releasing soon, but gameplay “systems” like Armor 2.0 and the skill system revamp for instance, will be free." Almir also really likes talking about a skill re-work so I'm hopeful for that in 2025
While I, just like the vast majority of Payday fans, love seeing beloved heisters returning to 3, I honestly hope they would slow down/take a break from it and start introducing some more newer heisters to the series. I've always been huffing the copium with payday 3 but i've said it before and i'll say it again, I just want more heists in the game. new weapons and gadgets are always welcome and balancing updates are nice, but to me it means very little when i'm running the same 3 heists constantly. I'd also like to see the safe house mechanic make a comeback but with actual bonuses from it (like instead of getting money from a jewelry heist, we can stash the jewels at the safe house and "clean" them over time then sell for even more on a special heist. like framing frame or the one with the gangsters who have intel.) or hell even use it to unlock new heists for a sense of progression besides "you beat this heist, here's another one." But all this does kind of hinge on if they get the time money and other resources like dev power to do these cool things.
Hmm, yeah I definitely agree. Just changing the color grading switches up the entire atmosphere of the environment, it feels more “friendly” when it seems like fwb should be imposing and stark.

I think the idea rings true: pd2 definitely had really complex possibilities for builds. However, I think a large part of that is just time. Pd2 was around for a decade, and pd3 barely over a year. I think it'll get there, just with more time and good luck that it won't run out of funds.

I do love Payday 2, but part of me wishes that they would focus on brand new heists instead of focusing on bringing back old maps because people miss them, the more I watch development the more it feels like everyone just wants Payday 2 remastered and not something new. Could be wrong. I myself haven't played any Payday 3 due to my PC being old, but I've been following all the news from KKnowley here, it's just a real shame that Payday 3 missed the mark and is trying to focus on nostalgia for the old game more so than building upon it and creating new experience that one day we'll be nostalgic for.

They have difficult identity problem where they have to cater to 2 playerbases. - The PD1 vets who loved the game when it was hard, tactical and resourceful so the current finite armour encourages picking and choosing fights and siege tactics. - The PD2 players who like the faster pace and safety net that armour regen brings so they can turn off their brains for a bit. Both directly oppose each other and they can't cater to both. For my 2 cents, this attrition system is what I wanted PD2 to be before power creep ruined PD2 so if they stick to keeping armour finite I'll be happy and the regen lovers should get used to using cover or bringing an armour bag.
@@PlebNC How is this even a choice? Which game was more popular, made them more successful and still has more players with full wallets to bring over and tap into? It's no contest. I honestly don't even think it's about trying to find a style balance between PD1 and PD2. It just seems to be some weird attraction they have to reinvent the wheel and create anything as long as it isn't PD2. They even changed weapon names without reason because they didn't possess a real name before. Example: Compact-5 ----> ATK-7. Like why? Probably reminded them of PD2 so they had to scrap it. 😂
@@iDeagles Calm down, dude. It's only a game. I'm just stating an observation of the split in playerbase, not that one is objectively better than the other. Although I personally definitely prefer PD1, PD2(at launch) and PD3 over PD2 as it currently is.

Nobody is saying they are new though, and they literally said they would bring back old characters. Also they put every single heist from the first game in the second one. Honestly all of this was expected.
Was hoping theyd have a good sale for this steam autumn sale considering the state they are in and the recent announcement backlash. But 33 bucks for the year 1? Not including upcoming paid dlc? Naw. Was hoping theyd try to grab some people with like a 20 dollar year 1 price. Id pay that, but nothing more.
Y'know I don't like having to say it over and over again, but here goes. This looks great, but (say it with me) there's still a lot of core issues and other systems, especially skills, that need a lot of work before I'll be jumping for joy. Now that the game is getting less internal attention I'm worried these necessary revamps won't come soon enough... or at all.
I think your person prowess is skewing your vision. Most heists in PD3 are closer or above 20 minutes for the average player. I don't understand why someone would praise PD3 movement, ESPECIALLY Diamond District. If you don't have a squad, it's a slog fest because of the horrible terrain, snipers, and RNG. You focused on PD2 footage, but I feel PD1 has the warm lighting you said FWB doesn't have.

@@PlebNC Weird projection. Why are you so anxious? They make meds to help you calm down, dude. 😂
@@iDeagles Spoken like a man with personal experience of such things. You must take something for your short term memory loss too because you were the one an autism fuelled mini-essay in response to my comment. Should I call the nurse to take you back to the home? Lol.
Please be honest, at this point in time is payday 3 worth buying?
Question in regards to your pie-in-the-sky character return: What if Jimmy returns...but it's not the same Jimmy as PD2? What if it's one of the other clones?
Jimmy is dead
Nah the real Jimmy is dead.
IT'S SO OVER, WE'RE SO BACK, IT'S SO OVER, WE'RE SO BACK
Hopefully the upcoming DLCs won't have P2W weapons.
Back to payday 2 it is
i wish i could get my money back.... introducing old characters and heists as new ones...
didnt expect this when they first announced pd3... till now the only victory that this game had was removing denuvo befor release
Nobody is saying they are new though, and they literally said they would bring back old characters. Also they put every single heist from the first game in the second one. Honestly all of this was expected.
IM NOT CRAZY IM NOT CRAZY
I WANT JIMMY BACKKKKKKK
Was hoping theyd have a good sale for this steam autumn sale considering the state they are in and the recent announcement backlash. But 33 bucks for the year 1? Not including upcoming paid dlc? Naw. Was hoping theyd try to grab some people with like a 20 dollar year 1 price. Id pay that, but nothing more.
STARBREEZE! GIVE ME DUKE AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!
Y'know I don't like having to say it over and over again, but here goes.
This looks great, but (say it with me) there's still a lot of core issues and other systems, especially skills, that need a lot of work before I'll be jumping for joy. Now that the game is getting less internal attention I'm worried these necessary revamps won't come soon enough... or at all.
I just want them to get their act together so I can make profit off of my Starbreeze stocks xd
YIPPIE🎉🎉🎉
please for the love of god give me fucking achievements to grind please I want a reason to play this game pleaaaaase
FWB looks nice tho
I think your person prowess is skewing your vision. Most heists in PD3 are closer or above 20 minutes for the average player.
I don't understand why someone would praise PD3 movement, ESPECIALLY Diamond District. If you don't have a squad, it's a slog fest because of the horrible terrain, snipers, and RNG.
You focused on PD2 footage, but I feel PD1 has the warm lighting you said FWB doesn't have.
