My 2017 tuscon has bulbs in the reflectors they call them rear spot lights good for heavy rain people can see you

I didn't have to take bumper off ,just feed the wires through panel
I noticed after I was already pulling the bumper that's why I didn't take it off completely...😁👍

If you mean that the functions doesn't work when the engine is running, mine does! Maybe double check the ground is good...
