So it sounds a little backwards from what I’ve been told about neos….was told with neos that sometimes introducing a new batch of the same variety of shrimp could encourage more “wilds” to pop out. Interesting how it strengthens the cardina lines.
I have never heard that with neos, interesting. It’s always good to add some new shrimp after a few years. This way the gene pool isn’t so inbred 😂 Thanks for watching till the end 🤗 the blue bolts are awesome lol
Why u use 2 kinds of gravel whats the purpose is it beneficial please teach the technique to do it properly like how much and when we should put the 2nd gravel or soil to that tank
Thanks for watching! I would love to tell you I have discovered the ultimate secret to raising shrimp and two soil types is the key but that’s not the case! Lol. I added the second soil because I uprooted a plant and it left behind a discolored spot on the soil and I didn’t like how it looked so I added a small layer of the black to make it look better on camera.
@@PoseidonsPets I’m getting mixed opinions. I just want to start a neocardinia tank. Some say a don’t need to remineralize tap water. My ph is at about 6.8 and my tds is at about 118. Thank you for the reply and great videos
@@aaronham5881 no problem! Glad I could help. I would test your two water for Gh and KH. If you are wanting to breed your shrimp and give them the best life it starts with the water parameters. Neos are pretty hardy and can survive in a large range of water parameters. I’ve had them live in caridima parameters and ok our cities rock hard water.
Yeah those blues are awesome! I need to get some! Glad to find a channel that understands Arizona water!
Arizona water is awful! Lol
Once I get them producing more extremes, were going to get you a few for your tank.
Sounds like a plan!
