@@Cheetahgirl_Studios like was said in the video, it was reasonable for ladybug to be what at him, she didn’t hate him like his father would do and ladybug wasent being abusive since she was being reasonable and not getting mad at him for every little thing like his father and forgave him but obviously not an abusive assole
Abby's World I was referring to S3. When she just kept replacing him and everything. Plus Reflekdoll too. Ngl S3 Ladybug SUCKED. NY Ladybug was defo better in terms of how her character was handled, so I’m hoping we continue seeing THAT version of her and that S3 LB becomes a very bad memory of the past.
Adrien acts EXACTLY like someone who’s been emotionally abused would act: he is fearful of upsetting the people in his life because upsetting his father, even over something petty and insignificant, always leads to excessively harsh consequences. He’s had little to no social interactions outside of his abusive father, and thanks to Gabriel’s cold demeanor, Adrien has been left to interpret others’ feelings on his own. But other people don’t act like Gabriel, which is how we get the situations where Adrien misreads a situation; his mind goes straight to the worst case scenario because THAT’S HOW GABRIEL WOULD ACT.
Exactly! I think that’s why I personally love Adrien/Chat as a character much more than Marinette/Ladybug. What you described I think perfectly describes his experiences and actions. As someone who also went through emotional abuse to some extent, I can testify. A bit different from Adrien but my mother would have unpredictable moods. Sometimes if I do something wrong, she can be kind or mean. When she is angry at me, she’d punish me in many ways, lowering my curfew which is difficult cause of my insomnia, take my phone which is one of the few sources of happiness I have, threaten to hit me if I do something wrong, all of that. It has made me become extremely fearful of getting her mad because she’d yell at me and if I cry, she’d say it’s my fault. It’s just like Adrien’s perspective of things and I think despite how jumbled the characters are in Miraculous, Adrien’s character has felt the best written in terms of abuse and his reactions towards it.
@SarahGL0102 They two r best Marinette is awesome funny girl And the story of Adrien it’s so sad But He a awesome guy Without them miraculous ladybug is Incomplete So love them if u like miraculous
I remember watching this show around when i was 10 like in 2016 now im turning 15 this year. I never actually knew I'd still watch this show at this age since this was technically a "children's show". Often times id hide the fact that i love this show bc it was a supposedly "cringey" in my age group. Little did i know a lotta ppl of my age actually watch this show, like a LOT. My brother's 18 and he enjoys mlb too! Tbh, i wish they could more mature themes and be realistic even though some children still watch it. At the same time, children could at least get a grasp what the world is actually is!
Plagg needs to tell him to take a day off for himself. Plagg would be that brother who's like look I know you want to make sure you get everything done. But you need a break.
Adrien calls Marinette a friend because, other than Chloe, she was his first friend he made at school. He really treasures their friendship. In the umbrella scene you can see how happy Adrien was to befriend Marinette. ALSO! The umbrella that Adrien gave Marinette looks exactly like the one his mother had, so if that was his mother’s umbrella that he gave Marinette so freely, that would mean that he really likes her. Even if he does have feelings for Marinette, or not, he doesn’t want that to ruin one of his treasured friendships.
@@EchoStarcast Well, there's a reason Nino is his best friend. Because Plagg's more than that. Same way Alya is Marinette's best friend because Tikki is more than that.
“He’s to busy laughing away while he’s terrorizing two teenagers and hording butterflies “ That’s the best description of Gabriel Agreste I’ve ever heard
So Adrien punishes himself for his mistake by giving up something that is extremely important to him and people interpret that as selfish? Inchresting....
he is used to punishment because of his father. im thinking he thought ladybug was going to ask for his miraculous so to soften the blow he did it himself. i cant blame him
the fact people REALLY called him selfish because of everything he went through... like... Sure it was a BIT dramatic to give up the importance of a miraculous BUT CONSIDERING Adrian and his relationship with his father and everthing else as a whole, you'll understand why. It's just people who want the duo to be together in the end. It's not bad to ship, but specials like this are important to give more life to the story and background. It also strengthens bonds of certain characters and that is needed, but tbh, I don't expect every one to understand since the entire show is for children.
>People get mad at Adrien for friendzoning Marinette over Ladybug >Marinette friendzones Chat Noir practically every akuma attack for Adrien The double standard is real
We aren't mad just both characters are flawed and it's more obvious in Adrien's case because he's always hanging around Marinette and also flirts with her as Chat Noir. Whereas with Ladybug I understand why she rejects him now of all times because he doesn't understand how hard her job is and makes fun of her for it.
@Quiet Opinion Cat noir flirts with everyone, not just Mari. Its a part of his personality,he's flirty. He calls Mari friend because Marinette called him friend too and she didn't confess his feelings for him,if he knew she liked him then he wouldn't consider her as a "friend".

@@switch9045 I’m afraid that’s not going to happen due to the writers just giving Marinette character development and Alya is pretty much replacing him in season 4 honestly what is the point of having chat noir if the writers are not going to include him a lot and this has been happening since season 2 only now people are really just seeing it
@@huthifaali5379 I don’t think you understand that the replacing him is adding to his character development. Sentibubbler is definitely showing that off and it’s only gonna get even crazier.
Gorilla who has almost no dialogue in the entire series and Nathalie who also does not have enough appearances have shown greater interest in Adrien's happiness and well-being than his own father
I agree with you about Nathalie. I don't like how people say she's horrible because of what she did in Chat Blanc, but we have to remember that it was a worse case scenario. Plus, Gabriel is her boss and Adrien is his son, so she would of had to something...she was ordered to. Nathalie seems like a pretty good character, but we never see her really care for Adrien, most likely because we're supposed to hate her no matter what (since she's a villan)
Honestly I would love to see gorilla become sort of a father figure for Adrien, since he is his bodyguard. Like he is very protective over adiren and Adrien could be better with a better father figure
@@noorishataef6477 ye if she didn't then they would've defeated him, then in that episode they'd have the butterfly miraculous, but what about the peacock? Did they really called him sensitive and overreacting? It's like they don't know his freaking background! They don't understand his character and clearly don't understand empathy

Even if he doesn’t like marinette and it’s not because he can’t express himself it is what it is you can’t force the relationship we would much rather them settle in rather then forcing the relationship
I have absolutely no idea how people can call Adrien giving up his miraculous selfish.. Let alone manipulative- especially after seeing everything that leads up to said moment. I'm with you on this, there's no need for the aggression towards him on that scene.
Ikr? Like what sense does that even make? Geez, some people simply don't understand that everyone is flawed and make mistakes. That's literally part of life.
Marinette screws up & Master Fu praises her, Adrien / Cat Noir screws up &- he gets screamed at. Perhaps if I am being VERY kind I could say their kwami are leading them astray a bit.
@@diyana_ Some staff changes they made part way through season 2 - seemed to show the tone in season 3 as a serious change - one I could still mostly see in the New York Special. I am a little worried about the show continuing to be a jerk to Chloe, let Marinette get away with anything she likes and demonise Cat Noir and make Adrien's life hell, not to mention not even develop Adrien as much as they could or should. It might be nice if they told us some simple things about his life and thoughts in throw away lines a bit more often than they do.
Adrien calls marinette just a friend because of Chloe, chloe was showing flirty and loving signs towards him yet they are both still just friends. Marinette, showing similar signs makes Adrien - having very few proper and heartfelt relationships with other humans - think that she is just a friend. I am glad to see Adrien and Cats development for socializing and i really hope it continues in season4 and the shanghi special.
I do think there are many logical reasons why Adrien says Marinette is just a friend, but I personally don't think Chloe is one of them. I don't mean to be mean or anything, I respect your opinion. But Marinette doesn't really act openly flirty with Adrien like Chloe is, it's quite the opposite, really. She gets too nervous most times and runs away (which he sees, making him think HE is the problem because he doesn't get social cues). Marinette also often messes up her words, complimenting him but then accidentally insulting him. I don't like the idea of Adrien loving Marinette and just not acknowledging/realizing it. It always seemed forced. Like, Adrien doesn't really get a chance to talk with Marinette properly. And when they do, I doubt it's enough to develop romantic feelings. Honestly, I think it's best they both mature (Adrien learning social cues and Marinette expressing her feelings) for any romantic relationship together to last.
Imo Adriano probs thinks of her as a friend since marrenite is always pushing him away and saying how she doesn’t have those feelings for him. It’s complicated. Mariente makes me mad lol
@@fruitylooperies8166 period. You spoke only facts. That's why the whole "Adrien is blind" it's just not it. Adrien does not have social clues and when he asks Marinette what she feels for him she denies that she has romantic feelings for him. How could he understand like that? He LACKED human interaction until 13 y.o. Adrien's story is so interesting and I wish he was developed much more, because he's an interesting character and a MAIN character. Something that the writers forget often
Yea, there’s a video on someone thinking he could have borderline personality disorder but most said was when he was akumazied and most comments said that’s him having depression is more likely and I think it’s that and he obviously dosent know since his father obviously wouldn’t notice since he barely sees him and when he does and does something wrong he leaves him
Yes it was originally was supposed to be a kids show but the creators said they found out most of their audience is mostly teens so they’re gonna switch it up
Something Adrien salters forget because they make it sound like he has some when in reality he doesn’t. Which is why I can understand his actions as Chat. The only time I really didn’t like his attitude was Glaciator and Frozer
@@quietopinion9637 Yeah, the writers gotta do more for his character though. They are treating him like a side character when Marinette/Ladybug and Adrien/Chat Noir are suppose to both be main characters
@@olamidealabi6419 nope it is exactly that. The writer literally did not make Adrien the protagonist because he thought it would be "feminism" if Marinette was the protagonist instead. His literal excuse was "why are people tripping like this? Can't girls get the chance to lead?" Like he missed the point by SO MUCH. If Ladybug had to be the protagonist, the least they could have done is make her interesting as opposed to making LITERALLY EVERY OTHER IMPORTANT SIDE CHARACTER interesting. As a writer myself, I kid you not, making the main character too interesting/have too much focus is the more common mistake as opposed to the other. And when they reflect on that they end up doing the exact opposite and end up giving the main character too little focus. A good writer would keep working at that cycle until it reaches a balance, which this guy clearly did not do.
@@mcbedo6568 I agree! Im not the best writer and I can see how its harder to write a script then a book format but omg I can think of any other way this show could've gone to fix it. Adrien is a main character and his life is part of the central plot. If Mari hadn't helped master Fu that day then she would've been just a side character. And thats not even mentioning her creepy attitude towards Adrien. He claims its "feminism" but this guy doesn't know a thing about it. Mari is my least favorite character specifically because of how she's written. A side character can be a power feminist, just because the show revolves around them doesn't make you or them a feminist.
I know it's a kid's show but I really think Chat Noir may be dealing with depression and it's pretty obvious he has issues with self-esteem. Having constantly been abused by his father, gotten coldness from his household/Felix (except from maybe his mom), Ladybug constantly rejecting or being cold to him, it makes sense that he'd internalize one mistake. Especially since the mistake was, like, kind of killing someone and Paris getting destroyed. He genuinely thought giving up being Chat was the best thing and it broke him, seeing how upset he got when even Marinette in the following scene didn't try to convince him to stay. :( Poor child needs a hug and for the creators to stop torturing him.
Mate please don’t use the fact that it’s a kids show as some werid excuse about them not covering serious topics. They can literally do that, it’s not rare anymore
@@gracekim25 You're absolutely right. A lot of kids shows are doing that now (heck Steven Universe). I wish this show would but I heard that this probably wouldn't since it's more of a cutesy show. But then again they had Chat Blanc in which a 14 year old abused kid kills the entire planet so. I hope the writers do more with Adrien's development, he's such a well-written character agh!
I agree but only if you exclude Chloe, she has never been truly mean to adrien it’s always the people around him. She’s a bit pushy because of her adoration of him but she listens to him and wouldn’t let someone hurt him while she was around.
Yes! But I also hope it won't be as dark. Chat Noir's cataclysm was a HUGE shocker, especially for a children's show. And Hawkmoth has crossed a lot of lines, but threatening to launch a nuclear missle and blaiming it on Ladybug and Chat Noir was WAY over the line.
I haven’t realized how tragic Adriens story really is. While Toon was talking about his abusive relationship with his father, his need for friends, and his low self esteem, I actually started tearing up. It’s so tragic to see such a caring person at such a young age be treated the way Adrien is treated in this show. Even despite being abused, manipulated, and brought down by others (mostly his father), Adrien is still such a good person! He was manipulated into thinking that making a single mistake means he’s not good enough, and considering how harsh Ladybug can be toward him at times makes sense. Adrien just wants to be happy. That’s why he feels so hurt and saddened by Marinette whenever she makes him feel like he’s not being a good friend. He wants to keep her friendship because it’s honestly all he has left. Nino and Marinette are the only good thing in Adriens life right now (Plagg too), and Adrien doesn’t want to lose that. He’s already lost so much, and doesn’t want to feel completely alone. I feel like we always go so harsh on Adrien for saying things like, “She’s just a friend” or “No, Marinette can’t be in love with me, besides there’s Luka”, and so on. I feel he says these things because of his self esteem. As Adrien, he doesn’t feel like he’s good enough because of the way he has been treated by everybody around him. That’s why when he’s Cat Noir, he feels a little more free, because he gets to get away from the trapped life he is living as Adrien. That’s why in the New York Special, when Ladybug, his closest friend and partner tells him that she doesn’t trust him, he breaks because of the weight of the situation that has consumed him. I’m really glad the writers went in this direction, and I hope we can see more of Adriens character development in the upcoming Seasons. We all love you Adrien 💚

@@shacharlem4424 wtf that got to do with miraculous ladybug 💀 just because adrian isnt very traumatized does not mean his story is any less sad than it is
The creator won't really make that happen and give the excuse that this is a kid cartoon. Even if they did it wouldn't change much since almost every emotion confession between the two wasn't very acknowledge for the future episode
I really do hope the heroes talk about their feelings with each other. Although, I think LB will stop CN from talking about his life, since she insists so hard on not knowing absolutely anything about each other
It makes me so mad that Chat noir is thought of as just a side kick to ladybug though the Chat and Ladybug miraculous are supposed to be equally powerful 😐 isn’t it supposed to be yin and yang
Exactly the cat and ladybug miraculous are both powerful than any others as they were both born at the exact same time creation and destruction happened for the first time , the only difference is that ladybug can capture akumas
May I remind all of you, there was a scene, I don't entirely remember where. Ladybug just waves into the camera with her yo-yo, while Cat Noir was in the back, checking on a kid with a blanket that was scared.
And probably orphaned in some way or another. And yea imagine your father is evil 🦹♂️ and your mother is dead , poor adrien the hate towards him because of lukanette is so unnecessary
This special In my opinion was pretty in character. Adrien hiding the truth from ladybug because he didn't want to disappoint her makes sense considering his mental abuse at the hands of his father and how he expected to be perfect. Abusive households mostly breeds liars especially in Adrien's case where telling the truth gets you punished. And ladybug's anger was justified because he betrayed her trust. And yet she in no world would ever want him to stop being chat noir. She doesn't want another partner. She wants THIS chat noir

This video made me realize that Adrien/chat noir has such a deep and intricate character it almost makes Marinette/ladybug’s character laughable. He seems like more of a main character than her at times, but maybe with her new guardianship we’ll see more development in seasons 4 and 5. Edit: welp, after watching the season 4 teasers that recently came out, I think it’s safe to say that Marinette will also be going through some tough baggage herself💀
"And while I would love to rant about this abusive Barbie-Ken-doll-looking rip-off, that's not the point of this video." asjbkdfksildkjfs- when I tell you I DIED 🤣🤣🤣
@Unknown I know this is old sorry- But, just because Gabriel has good intentions for what he does and cares about Adrien to some extent, that absolutely DOES NOT mean he isn't abusive. Isolating a child and threatening to take away the things that they love if they don't comply with your every whim IS abuse. It IS possible to be accidentally abusive. You can still be a toxic person and genuinely care about people. Abuse doesn't always mean the person doesn't care, or doesn't want someone to be hurt by something or someone. If Gabriel believes that because he's used to being isolated that it must be better for Adrien to also be isolated, then Gabriel doesn't understand that his experience isn't universal. Gabriel wanting Adrien to be safe and not in the same state as Emilie is not an excuse for Gabriel's actions. Intent rarely ever equals outcome.
Its just now after this video hitting me that when Adrien said “No one will know that I quit. And no one will care.” That’s basically him admitting that he truly does think he’s expendable when it comes to his role as Chat Noir. Shit broke my heart. I never thought much of that line until after this breakdown of his character. Baby really needs to be told he’s loved more often. If not by his shit father, then by his friends. And Marinette as Ladybug really needs to realize that Chat is more fragile than he makes himself appear. I hope that in season four, she tells him how much she appreciates him more often.
Then he really needs to open up more and understand it's hard for her too as she's also under a lot fo stress as the guardian now. Both have their stresses and not one of them is above another so they both need to open up more basically.
so uhm LMAOO it gets worse in season 4 with chat noir basically being treated like a side character rather than a protagonist to the point it borderline seems like marinette is replacing him
Also the fact no one, and i mean no one, tells him anything. He was told that you can't know each other's identities, yet Ladybug actively chooses other to help and such. He was given the most destructive power without any guide on how to use it, unlike Ladybug with a reset button.
Ahem, let me direct you to Oblivio, and Origins, where Plagg gives a rundown to Adrien of his powers, and his emergency user’s guide in his cat-phone. Ladybug, in the battle helps him know where to use it, and even in some battles, he somehow automatically knows.
@@psychott6 Wait oblivio? You mean the episode where they lost their memories and then got them back with no recollection of the events that happened previously? I don’t think that really counts.
@@psychott6 I don’t mean the episode itself. I mean that most of the events and character development didn’t matter. Even the part where cat noir claimed if he could fall in love once he can do it again. He has had many realizations similar to that but no progress has been made. Although I do agree with the cat phone.
the potential this show could’ve had if they’d made this a show on the maturer side, and actually marketed it towards an older demographic. the majority of the show’s fan base are teens/young adults anyway. adrien could have such a great character arc. not only does he show signs of depression in the current show, but his character is very intricate and has a ton of potential. a lot more interesting then marinette, haha
I wouldnt say marionette isnt interesting since her character deals with anxiety and coming of age but I do think her character needs more depth and that adriens life needs to be explored more! i really really hope adrien talks to ladybug about his abusive home life and the show takes an overall more mature tone in the next season!!
To be fair, they are now going into Marinette with her trauma and stress in season 4, they've done a lot with Adrien, Mari's def gonna have a major arx
I think some of the appeal of the show is it's childlike demeanor, but I do think they can develop the mature themes of the show I a subtle way, giving the older audience what we want whilst not taking away from the unique charm of the show
I agree that he is more interesting to follow, buut MLB would probably be a lot darker if he was. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing! But it's pretty refreshing to me to have a protagonist (Mari) that doesn't have a depressingly soap opera backstory. Also keeps the mystery interesting when it's lurking in the shadows and the whole female superhero thing is very nice. Basically, glad that Adrien and Mari are both main characters and also that now that the story's picking up he's getting more of the spotlight. Respect ur opnion tho ofc.
This, every point you've made about Adrien's life style made me realize why he's my favorite character in the show, whether in or out of the mask. Adrien is the one with the most problems , or at least, the one with the most serious problems, in the show, and that makes for a more interesting character. An absent mother, an abusive father, a partner that fail to show her true appreciation and feelings, and a lack of social cues; he's the one out of the duo with a personal stake in the battle against Hawkmoth, he's the one who has something to lose or gain depending on the outcome, it just makes me wish he was the main character instead of Marinette.
Yeah, Adrien would've been so much more interesting and compelling as the main character. But nope, Marinette is Astruc's prized character so I imagine he does as much as possible to give her more screen time than Adrien.

I don’t know, but I hate they way that ladybug treats Cat noir. Like when any one else makes a mistake she’s mad but more understanding, but throughout the whole show, she always treats him like a sidekick and really, she’s rude and pretty harsh towards him. Don’t get me wrong I love our girl but her personality changes so much towards cat noir and it’s pretty bad.
It's like she's so used to being mean when he's flirtatious that she's just become mean in general. And on top of that, she expects things to go a specific way when in reality, there are infinite possibilities! So what if Chat Noir _did_ stay in Paris? He couldn't have cleaned the sentimonster feather and he couldn't have reversed the damage. LB likely wouldn't have been able to get to Paris in time because, as we saw in the siren episode, she swims at a normal speed. Even with her flight power up, it would've taken a few hours. LB really didn't think her plan through and she just expected things to fall into place and be okay.
As a person who's studying behavioural psychology, I saw this and understood it pretty clearly. Adrien is a complex character with a skewed way of understanding things due to abuse. I genuinely wish that he could have some episodes focused more on HIM so that it could get through thick skulls of those fans who call him selfish or oversensitive.
Yea I wish the show could also focus on Adrien too but it's not likely that it will because technically it's a kids show and his life story may be a little too dark for children.
i thought it was head-on obvious from the start because of Adrian's character. He never went to New York and experience it with friends and thought that maybe he deserved it, as long as Lady bug didn't know, but since they had to keep their identities a secret, both of them didn't expect to be in New York. The fact that LB showed her disappointment to him was his fear and the fact that Paris was in danger because he didn't keep his promise made him feel like the villian. Watching the movie broke my little heart, but now it feels like their actual bond between super heroes is closer than ever.
How are we even surprised that so many fans dismiss Adrien's issues? The writers themselves do it. Either they don't realize that Adrien has severe depression and anxiety the way they wrote him or they don't care. Thus nobody adresses it. And fans won't see it either if they don't have to deal with depression or somebody who does. Let alone the actual children and young teenagers watching.
I think season 4’s doing a better job so far of addressing rather than avoiding Adrien’s depression/emotional issues. I’m hopeful he’ll end up with a good emotional arc resolution cause he sure deserves it
19:11 The fact that Adrien/ Chat noir had to think about the question ‘would you really think he take it out on his son?!’ shows that Adrien doesn’t know if his father feel any sort of family bond with him. He was unsure if his father would take it out on him like that or not. Ladybug/ Marinette is shocked when she asks the question ‘would you really think he take it out on his son?!’ She thinks this because she simply finds it astonishing that a father could care that less about his son or daughter as she knows her father wouldn’t ever do anything like that. This comment just adds more points to the video and also shows, once again, that Gabriel is a horrible father.

I noticed that Adrien definitely got more spotlight and focus in this special- outside of Marinette’s obsession. Both Chat and Adrien got a lot more development, which I hope continues in the rest of the series.
Honestly I liked and hated this special, which is also how I feel about this show. Here's the thing, whenever marinette/ladybug makes a mistake, chat/Adrien ALWAYS comforts her and says stuff like "we'll fix it together!" However, whenever chat makes a mistake she always mocks him and makes him feel bad about himself. For example, when they switched miraculouses, she made fun of him and got mad for him not knowing how to use her miraculous/powers,which makes no sense. How would he know how to,He has NEVER used her miraculous before (it also makes no sense she was able to perfectly use his despite never using it before, but that's a whole other issue.)

Gabriel reminds me of my abusive ex. The way Adrien acts (criticising himself for a mistake) is how a victim of abuse is. Holy crap I hope the writers get him out of that situation.
it would be better to make him realize it and maybe mari could help him realize, seek help, and overall help him get better, and that could make him fall in love with her naturally, so if they ever reveal their identities it wouldn’t be forced for adrien and marinette to be together just because mari is ladybug. hope ur in a better place now

Who the heck was calling Adrien "selfish", "sensitive", and/or "manipulative"?! The nerve of these brats! Smh They act like Marinette has never made a serious mistake and Adrien's to blame for everything. So judgemental.
I dont want both Mari and Adrien hate tbh, its kinda annoying how people compare these 2....the fandom and ESPECIALLY The writers, they frickin give Ladybug most of the spotlight than Chat noir, i wish in S4 Chat noir will get some spotlight and give poor Mari better story writing, season 3 made her evil and that leaves the fandom to hate her, THIS SHOW GETS ON MY NERVES BUT AT THE SAME TIME I LOVE THIS SHOW.....i have problems.
I think the things Adrien has done wrong "so far" in some people's minds that I can think of (not including saying "Just a Friend" to many times to count) Is : 1) Telling Marinette to take the high ground with Lila. 2) Not calling Chloe out properly on her bullying after Despair bear. 3) Not standing up for himself to Gabriel or Ladybug as much as he could. 4) Maybe he needs to make a bit more of an effort with the rest of the class friendship wise 5) Listening to Plagg's bad advice and ignoring his good advice or hints about "Girlfriends and Pigtails" 6) having his hissy fit in Syren at a dangerous time 7) Leaving town without telling Ladybug on multiple occasions. 8) Being a bit to creepy with Ladybug sometimes 9) Lying to Theo in Copycat / Being jealous 10) Being a people pleaser 11) Giving up Plagg to easily in the New York special 12) Not complaining much when Ladybug hits him 13) Being a bit dense about Marinette's crush i.e the posters in her room Things I can't blame him for are things he can't have noticed though like thinking Marinette likes Cat Noir when she's actually just being a jerk to CN behind his back. Bust essentially he's a lonely socially isolated boy, who misses his mother and is looking for a connection and & sense of family they keep getting shorted out on him so I am reasonably sympathetic to him. if I made a list of things LB / Marinette has done wrong we'd be here all night.
@@90lancaster Im just tired hearing people complaining about these characters.....i just wanna think about their positive traits and not overanalyzing or think about their negative traits too much.
@@mrtotle1285 I like to read the fluffier Miraculous Fan Fiction so I can enjoy their more positive sides. The show tends to not be giving quite so may positive vibes as often.
I love Adrien so much as a character. Although I can’t relate to his abuse I feel for him and have so much empathy. The fact that he can be so sweet and nice to everyone while being mentally and abused by his father is heartbreaking but beautiful because he couldn’t easily be a jerk. I love him. 😭
"Abusive Barbie Ken doll-looking rip-off" 😂 Gabriel really is the worst but we'd all be lying if we said he didn't have _some_ semblance of a fashion sense.
Honestly though the fact that people called Adrien selfish for giving up his Miraculous is just insane. When I watched that part I just realized that anytime he does something wrong (by his father's standards) he gets punished and that makes him think that when he does something even a tiny bit wrong he deserves to be punished for it. Which is pretty crazy. The only thing that I don't really like about Adrien is that apparently the only way he could love Marinette was if she was Ladybug (proven by Chat Blanc episode) he only fell in love with Marinette because he found out that she was Ladybug and not for any other reason.
He is already crushing on her (notice Plagg joked about him getting a girlfriend and often calls Marinette the same name as LB as a not so subtle hint to Adrien - that he's to dense to notice) - and was since the umbrella scene - the difference is he's not aware of it yet. If LB wasn't in the picture he'd have fell for her, if Adrien wasn't in the picture LB & CN would have (eventually) have been a couple too. I do agree though that Cat Blanc did give the impression that he was only giving Marinette the time of day because she's LB - rather than actually caring two hoots about her "baker's girl / Designer girl" persona at all. he may have grown to love that side of her. But I didn't get the impression he was expressing relief that he no longer had to feel guilty about his low-key crush being disloyal to ladybug no longer being an issue - it seemed more like he'd never considered Marinette as anything other than "that quirky girl in my class" and that was kinda sad - but any progression in their friendship implied by episodes like Anansi - never seems to stick as the show lacks proper continuity (as Puppeteer 2 being subsequently ignored showed to great effect).
to be fair if you look at his behavior toward mari throughtout the show he praises her at every opportunity. wants to help her out and thinks the world of her. and had flirted with her as chat. and he has figured her out easily before. considering that ladybug tends to show more negative and neutral sides to to him than mari does with adrien.he kindof knows more of her as ladybug so I'm not sure if its fair to say he wouldn't be interested if she wasn't ladybug as if ladybug is some better version of her. the only thing getting in mari's way of adrien realizing he likes civilian her if he thinks she isn't interested in HIM and he already has a crush. considering many have crushed on mari in the show like nate and nino and from adrien's view mari isn't interested in him and he is already dealing with one unrequited crush...why exactly would he risk getting stuck in another one?
Okay I get what you guys are saying and I rewatched the episodes that Adrinette scenes (so I guess basically all of them) and I saw the little hints that Adrien likes Marinette (the way he looks at her, the way that he acts with her when his Chat Noir etc.) I'm not saying that I don't like Adrien I'm just saying that I don't like how he doesn't realize that he likes her and the only way he realized he likes her was when he found out she was Ladybug (for example if Adrien found out that Chloe was Ladybug I don't think that Adrien would instantly fall in love with Chole like he did with Marinette) but I just think that it's kinda dumb that he can't realize his own feelings when other people can

When I first saw that scene in syren. I cried tears of sorrow and joy. Sorrow because Adrien felt alone. But joy when Plagg reassured him that he cares about him.
he is kinda a main Oc but he's just too over shadowed wich is kinda sad since His personality both Adrien and chat noir is kinda a charm for ladybug/mari
sometimes i just badly want to hug adrien/cat noir, telling him that “it’s ok to be sad, it’s ok to cry, i support you, i trust you” WHY DOES HE HAVE TO SUFFER SO MUCH AAAAAAH WHY WOULD THEY HURT HIM LIKE THIS!!!!!!!
I'd do the same. I've actually had to comfort some of my friends when a friend of ours passed away back in middle school many years ago. Also I'm sure Plagg would give Adrien a big hug or as best a hug he could to make him feel better.
I just want an episode where ladybug and cat noir decide to hang out and tell each other about their life a bit, without telling their name. And then they talk about their family, and cat noir gets to his father and ladybug can help him and comfort him, and she can help adrien. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR??
Chat Noir is one of my favorite characters and that scene where he denounced Plagg was heartbreaking, I had no idea people were ripping into him cause of it, shame on those people
Yea for real tho, I had no idea there were people that actually hated him for that. He almost accidentally killed someone and all the other heroes were tearing into him for it, they were all chastising him and it's perfectly understandable that he didn't feel worthy of being chat noir anymore. I don't hold anything against him for denouncing Plagg in that moment, he eventually got him back so it's not that big a deal. I truly don't understand why people hate him for it.
People need to understand that Adrien doesn’t have social skills. He just now went to school, so calling him blind and treating him like he’s only a side character sucks, because he’s such a deep character and a good one too. He’s my favorite character, not just because he’s Cat Noir. I hate that people keep saying that Cat Noir’s the better version of him. Adrien IS Cat Noir as seen especially in season 4. We shouldn’t forget this.
Bro if he has not social skills then how was he able to do fencing and all those other sports with other people and talk to Chloe. Y'all coming up with the most BS reasons to defend his ass.
@@quietopinion9637 and??? Chloe was his only friend when he was a kid and yea he never went to school before. Yea he has no social skills since his dad never allowed him to go to outside before. And your comment is dumb
Trust me, she’s 1000 times worse than him. It speaks volume when you realize that she’s the second person with an high “Akuma Creation Score”. And in the special, she picked the wrong time to call out Chat Noir for not staying in Paris. But what she doesn’t get is that, even if he somehow DID stay in Paris, he won’t be able to fix any collateral damage from Akuma/Sentimonster attacks without Ladybug’s Lucky Charm. Even in that case, Paris would ended up as a wrecked city anyway. So her entire “Well, I can't trust you any longer, can I?!” is totally, 100%, completely POINTLESS! Period! End of the story! Worst of all, she doesn’t even apologize!😡 “EQUALITY”, indeed.

Adrien: He's my father, he has to love me. This is just proof Adrien isn't ready for a romatic relationship. The only source of real love he had disappeared of the face of the earth! And the next literally can't talk to him regularly! Plagg is there but isn't always the best to talk to. If Adrien and Marinette develop a closer friendship I feel she can help him understand love and friendship because that's what she's had all her life. I ship Adrienette but if they dive in head first, I don't think it could stick for very long. (Ex: Cat Blanc) Please take note of this is coming from someone who had a mentally strained relationship with there own father. He would come, give me the world, then leave again. I sometimes thought it was my fault but I'm lucky my mom made sure I knew it wasn't. But Adrien dosen't have that. Where is child protection services when you need them? The reason why he is so perfect is because he is grommed to look that way, when inside he's questioning everything. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he has depression.
Absolutely agree with this!! In my opinion, both Adrien and Marinette aren't ready for each other, major development needs to be made before I fully accept them as a couple. I will always ship them together, but if they got together now, im not sure I would support it
This is SOO true honestly. I was thinking about this in the car, as much as i do want them together and as adorable as they'd be together they are not ready, i really hope they do not date and they become closer as friends to the point where Adrien can understand how to be friends and how to do things right
Gabriel always acts in absolutes with Adrien and it messes with his sense of identity. There is no just making a mistake, Adrien himself becomes the mistake when his father is mad at him. It really disturbed me that when Adrien lost the book, Gabriel started literally ripping down pictures of Adrien like he had just denounced him as his son. It was the first time that I really acknowledged that Gabriel's abuse went beyond simple neglect/overly strict parenting. Gabriel takes any sense of rationality or fairness in situations and warps them to suit the conclusion that he wants. If Adrien objects, Gabriel just uses his naivety and passiveness as kindling to gas light Adrien and make him feel bad. I don't know why anybody would think Adrien was manipulating Ladybug by giving up his ring after knowing the psychological torment he has been through. He has been conditioned to believe that he is not allowed to make mistakes and if he does make a mistake, it is unforgivable and he must be punished for it. Considering this, It makes complete sense why Adrien would conclude that there is no recovering their relationship or continuing being a hero after his mistake. He truly believed that he was not fit to be Chat Noir and giving up his ring was the only way to prevent him from continuing to mess things up.
Ouch. I know this is about Adrien and all but dang this just hit home about my own home life. Ouch. Same goes for his actions in the special. I’ve done the same thing with his whole schitck of lack of Communication and trying to sneak around. Yikes man 😭 I came here for a great review not feel to get called out. Tho that said, nice analysis of Adrien.
Correction: Chat Noir never lied. He just didn't have the time to tell Ladybug about what happened because he wanted to save Marinette and everything happened so quickly.
Imma say it, Cat noir/Adrian is dumbed down to make ladybug look good. And ladybug was made more creepy so we couldn't call her a Mary Sue. All In all I blame Thomas.
it does really annoy me how Adrian as Cat Noir is not as respected of a hero as Ladybug. The AMOUNT of scenes where people thank her and completely forget about him infuriate me.
If we look at Desparada. It was Adrien who gave up the snake miraculous. He realized that it was not working out he saw over his own desire to fight alongside LB while her knowing his identity and was the one who suggested Luka. LB on the other hand still wanted Adrien to have the miraculous. She only cared for being with Adrien not for the fact that the Akuma was still there or that her partner Cat Noir was missing. So who is more mature. He who understood that he should keep his responsibility before love or She who only cared about spending time with her crush.
I always justified Gabriel being Hawk Moth as it was driven by his love for Emilie but this video is making me rethink that. But that does not make it okay for him to abuse Adrien like this. Gabriel is bad.
I think it’s more that his intentions are understandable, but he’s so blinded by his failure to move on and determination to bring back Emilie that he doesn’t even consider what it’s doing to the people around him. As his desperation grows, his actions worsen, as shown by the fact that he doesn’t seem to even see Adrian as a person anymore.
I honestly agree with everything here. I never knew people called him selfish or manipulative or sensitive. I honestly cried when he renounced his miraculous and Plagg :/ But Gabriel is clearly the worst father ever even tho he said he, "wants Adrien to be happy" like you really think he'll be happy with his father becoming a villain?! His enemy?? Like no ofc not- But yeah- Nino is such a good friend and hopefully Adrien and Marinette have a healthy friendship like you said soon. Great vid XD
You know, I really would've liked Adrien to be the main character of this show. I noticed that Gabriel is written often to say that he wants to keep an eye on Adrien but I've seen that maybe twice and both times involved Lila keeping an eye on Gabriel, not even Gabe himself. I could be forgetting some moments but I don't think Gabe's actually gone out of his way to keep an eye on Adrien. I feel like if Adrien were the main character, we could see some of those moments.
I wonder why Lila hasn't figured out yet the secret identities of Ladybug and Chat Noir. I mean, she is much smarter than Gabriel. I think Felix would figure it out soon too if he lived in Paris as opposed to London.
@@BucyKalman I'm 99% sure Lila knows Gabriel is Hawk Moth and I think it was even confirmed so it's really interesting she can't figure out Adrien or at least Mari. Mari isn't super safe with her powers and she seems to be around Lila more. Plus, Lila would be able to blackmail Mari if she got that info which could lead to some interesting situations involving Mari and other superheroes.
But the issue with that, is that if we see completely into somebody’s life, it always gets boring. Like Marinette’s, we basically see everything she does, and we only transition to Adrien in much more important parts of his development. If he *was* the main character, it would become less enticing, and all in all boring. I think Adrien needs more screen-time, but clearly you can see the writers are trying. The stress of being a guardian and this whole “Adrien’s just a friend” thing is an attempt to make Marinette have her own issues and problems she has to overcome. Some type of compensation for her crappy development so far(not all of it was bad, but it wasn’t that good either). So, my point is, Marinette needs more character development, and both need equal screen-time.
I enjoy the way Adrien and Marinette are oposite characters. Marinette and her pointo of view is always in the centre of attention. Adrien is introverted and we must figure it out. His story is big too. Adrien has for 99 % crush at Marinette, but hides his feelings because he wants to be loyal to Ladybug and also Marinette tolld him so many times she doesnt love him or anything more than just a good friend.
Yes even the miraculous couldn't do anything about it. Only because Ucany was a man made creation she could help. If ladybug would get his catacylym she would die forever. No return. How could he then forgive himself. Thanks for 21 likes 😀(Not including my like)
Well - I do wonder if he'd just scooted past her on her side and he could simply have closed his hand - and no harm possible then. - Besides the damage done is supposed to be his choice so it's not like he'd Choose to disintegrate her - or that he was planning to disintegrate Techno pirate's Akuma form either. - at worst it may have broken a couple of ribs *unless one is saying Miracula's cataclysm was a lot less powerful*
As well he was suppose to cataclysm ladybug. He was suppose to hurt the love of his life. If uncanny hadn’t stepped in he would have. He was probably scared he would hurt her, it makes sense.
Oh god, literally marinette has done soooo MANY bad things, (stealing her friends phone, breaking in to adriens room, also caused akumatizations, stalking,.. ) but the fandom ignores it! And yet adrien is getting all the hate??
Ladybug has directly or indirectly got 9 people akumatised, & Marinette a whopping 26 - loads more than Chloe. It does depend on how forgiving you are on what counts towards her though - and some could be considered shared neglect (puppeteer 2) or an accident (like Baby August the 1st time) or no one's fault (like Sandboy). She's stolen Adrien, Kagami, Alya & Chloe's phones & she's also stolen a Camera and a memory card. She's also broken into or tried to break into Adrien's home at least 4 times. Heck alone knows how she gets Adrien's schedule in as much detail as Nathalie has too.
@@90lancaster I agree with everything else you said but when has marinette caused that many akumas? But she is kinda responsible in part for Animaestro & Anansi,, Prime Queen, Glaciator for sure, Riposte, Frightningale, Dark Owl, Zombiziou, Reverser, Backwardser, Santa Claws, Bakerix, Weredad, Chrismaster, Gamer 2.0, Ikari Gozen was mostly her fault too, She certain often contributes to Chloe's woes too . But sometimes she does something that leads to someone doing something else that gets someone akumatised - like ditching Manon - leads to Alya & Nino sneaking off to make out and abandoning Manon - that gets her akumatised - when it was Marinette's responsibility to be looking after her, not shouting TOILET at Adrien instead. So some a circumstantial or accidental - sure ; But she was nasty enough to Andre in Glaciator to say that she effectively Akumatised him in the way Chloe Akumatised Stormy Weather 2.
@@90lancaster I mean reflektdoll was more alya fault for pushing her, marinette shouldn't have too always be the reasonable one, alya should have had the common sense to not push her friend out of the way. Dark cupid wasnt her fault, she was encouraging him to ask chloe out but it was chloe who upset him and humiliated him, she had no idea that would happen and cant be held responsible because it was all chloe. I dont really remember desperada other than her giving Lukas guitar to adrien so I didn't really notice her play in the akuma. In animaestro she was at fault along with chloe and theres nothing I can say to defend her. Anansi was more anansis own worries than her lie because if she got so salty about one loss then she must be sensitive, like just go with them or something. In riposte from her perspective she was put onnthe spot to answer and went with what she saw, if you slow the fight down you will see Adrien did beat her by a few frames so she isnt wrong, hawkmoth is entirely at fault not marinette, she answered honestly and was put on the spot to answer. Frightingale was entirely chloe and marinette dudnt factor into her akumatisation at all, please explain how you think she helped akumatize her. Dark owl was a slip up, a tiny mistake of saying his name that shes probably used to saying as a reflex and it was hawkmoths fault that he used that minuscule slip up. Zombizou? What was your thought process? Chloe sabotaged her gift making marinette understandably angry as bustier swept it under the rug and the akumatisation was chloe and hawkmoths United efforts, I can't figure out how you came to this conclusion. Reverser was her fault but she had good intentions with a bad result, she learned her lesson at the end. Backwarder was only her fault because she slipped up handing three envelopes that looked identical, anyone could make that mistake and it wadnt her intention to mix them up. Santa claws was her fault but she was trying to do her job despite her not looking like an akuma at all. Bakerix was his fault, a boomer that was salty about being bested by a teenager and got affected, not her fault. Weredad. Please. Explain. It was her fault because she tried to protect her identity? It was her fault because she cane up with a excuse? Please explain deeper because it was no ones fault. I can only remember some of Christmaster but it was her fault by having a right to privacy? By not letting a kid look at the presents? This has no reasoning so please explain. Gamer 2.0? Because she said no? Is she forced to say yes? She gas a right to say no, you understand that right? People don't have to say yes to people's requests. I find remember ikari gozen other than ryuku and cant find it on UA-cam so I don't know if it is her fault or not. She contributes to chloe's woes? How? She is bullied by chloe and always tries to support her friends and help others but noe shes belong chloe, this makes mo sense... You realise she actively tries to stop akumatizations right?
Right, they both have to sacrifice relationships both in their civilian and superhero lives because of keeping their identities secret. I hate that fans compare their hardships as if it’s some kind of competition.
I wouldn't say that they go through the exact same things, but through similar things, and in the end their struggles are equal in the way that one doesn't have it worse thzn the other
I actually think Adrien\Cat deals with much more pain considering his awful background and having family that's not solid. yet he's so kind nice and cordial to everyone he's the perfect example of the line "you can walk straight through hell with a smile"
@@Vrog11 your name, as much as I don't like Adrigami, we have to admit that the relationship is not entirely Kagami's fault. Marinette is unable to tell Adrien how she feels, and as a result of that, Adrien is still (kinda) oblivious to her feelings and is single. Adrien isn't going to wait around for Marinette to confess her love for him just because she's the main protagonist. Although Adrigami (and Lukanette) are just for the plot, we don't really have to worry about anything though, because seemingly the producers have confirmed any of the Adrienette, Marichat, Ladrien and or Ladynoir ships will be endgame.
It's a show targeted at children, and kids have a different understanding of love and relationships compared to teens/adults. So exaggeration of emotions is used a lot in kid's shows in order to show attraction in a way that they can understand, but that can come off as stalker-like behaviour to teens and adults.

Because she put her own personal desire (when she thought Adrien was coming New York too) to spend time with her crush over the safety of Paris, I don't think she thought it through at all she was only thinking "Adrien" and Paris gets a stuff cat beacon and that is the extent of her (essentially non) planning . I have the blame Tikki for letting her leave - Tikki never even suggested lending her to Kagami while she leaves town - she's going to have to hand it off to someone one some day (temporarily) when she's heavily pregnant - so why not now ? But nope the Universe has to twist to meet Marinette's desires. But here is a thought what if they go somewhere via Portal or Space Power up that they are not supposed to be and get caught on camera as Civilians - say in Brazil of Jamaica ? They'd have trouble explaining that. Heck what would happen in Marinette fell over and broke her wrist or was bed ridden with flu - she's not really made any proper plans for "what if" and New York shows what happens when you don't plan properly for things to go wrong. Oh and hear is an idea Mayura likely could only pull the power from a Sentimonster by breaking the item or by being in range - so if Majestia picked the Sentimonster up and dropped it on the moon - it couldn't cause any trouble mayura couldn't do anything with it other than break he the item. & if she didn't then LB can come back later and fix the problem. Though one could argue that her transforming and not using lucky charm means that if she'd chosen too she could have let Majestia explain the holes in the buildings and be rightly seen as the alien menace she likely really is. & instead used her lucky charm in Paris - as she was already transformed it would have worked - Uncanny essentially didn't just commit suicided she is directly responsible for all the harm done to paris by interfering. (though I expect LB would have fixed the damage anyway out of courtesy - even if Majestia should be allowed to just break stuff with impunity and no one complains)
because she's a kid... she is not gonna make the best choices till she is 25 because her choices then will be based on logic, not feelings it wouldn't be good character writing at all to have a kid make adult type choices

Honestly, their "love" is toxic. More so on Marinette due to her stalkerish behavior. She's obsessed with the idea of Adrien's perfection like his looks, kind personality, scent, etc that to me she doesn't truly love him for who he really is when Adrien is far more than just that perfect kind model. He has flaws and pain that she just doesn't see because she's just so controlling and obsessed with Adrien. If she got with Luka it would be toxic as well sadly as she'll just use him and throw him away for Adrien, which Luka ( judging from the poor writing of the series) most likely will be understanding and fine with it, but in reality, it's really not if she doesn't learn to be better.

imagine calling someone who just accidentally killing someone, and renouncing the powers that allowed him to do so selfish like wtf I think a lot of people would react like that in that situation, abused or not
the audacity LOL. I mean, I wouldn't see it as far fetched to call him selfish (ONLY FOR ONE REASON THOUGH) because the fan base is full of children and teens. Teens will most likely understand the situation and background of Adrian, but children would just watch it "for the ship" or for other reasons. imo MLB has grown onto me more than just a childish cartoon
I know people call Adrien boring, but I think that’s okay because part of Adrien’s character is that he just tries to please others, and acts accordingly. Chat Noir is his only time he can really be himself. Remember the episode Lies? Kagami wanted to draw Adrien, but every supermodel pose just wasn’t right. When Kagami told him to be himself, he made the Chat Noir pose. The episode Wishmaker showed us that all he wants is to please his father, and he lacks a personality because all he is so someone trying to please others. Adrien needs more screen time. He’s sooo much more interesting and complex than Marinette
What kids see in this show: Heroic action and colorful cartoon animation. But what WE see: Romance, very dark emotion, theories of sentimonsters, Adrien abused, etc…
I just want to say, I understand why Marinette's friends keep trying to help her out with getting together with Adrien. But she said she was trying to get over him. "Trying" Nino knows Adrien doesn't have good social skills and yet wants to get him into a relationship like that's going to help or something. Marinette is now the guardian of the miracle box. She's got a lot on her plate and fawning over a boy is last on her list but everyone wants to see her and Adrien together. And doesn't Adrien have something going on with Kagami? I think they're dating or something. The two of them be cute together(Mari and Adrien). But Marinette and Adrien need to get their heads on straight. Because the back and forth is making my sick...I also didn't know people were calling Adrien selfish for willingly giving up the powers that "killed" someone. That's pretty mature in my eyes. Even if it was an accident. I kinda want angst and have him have ptsd in fear of accidentally hurting someone again.
Well said 👍👏 Half the fandom dunks on Marinette's or Adrien's characters by just looking on surface level But your response really showed how much they've grown throughout the seasons as both characters and People Sure both are flawed but they are alot of good qualities to work with Which makes their dynamic all the more interesting

It might be nice if they told us some simple things about his life and thoughts in throw away lines a bit more often than they do.
But Marinette has no flaws (said in Sarcasm mode)
Adrien calls marinette just a friend because of Chloe, chloe was showing flirty and loving signs towards him yet they are both still just friends. Marinette, showing similar signs makes Adrien - having very few proper and heartfelt relationships with other humans - think that she is just a friend.
I am glad to see Adrien and Cats development for socializing and i really hope it continues in season4 and the shanghi special.
yeah

@Unknown I know this is old sorry-
But, just because Gabriel has good intentions for what he does and cares about Adrien to some extent, that absolutely DOES NOT mean he isn't abusive.

To be fair, adrien didn’t know how to use it because he was impatient. And he figured it out soon after.
Ahem, let me direct you to Oblivio, and Origins, where Plagg gives a rundown to Adrien of his powers, and his emergency user’s guide in his cat-phone. Ladybug, in the battle helps him know where to use it, and even in some battles, he somehow automatically knows.

@@violet3907 Still she would have to deal with hawk moth in ny so it's her fault
@@mish2637 i mean they could always just make the scenes deeper or sum so the children dont actually get it, but we do
Exactly! People call him "oblivious" but that's because of the abuse. He doesn't have good social skills because of it.
i thought it was head-on obvious from the start because of Adrian's character.

The fact that Adrien/ Chat noir had to think about the question ‘would you really think he take it out on his son?!’ shows that Adrien doesn’t know if his father feel any sort of family bond with him. I think the things Adrien has done wrong "so far" in some people's minds that I can think of (not including saying "Just a Friend" to many times to count) Is :
1) Telling Marinette to take the high ground with Lila.
2) Not calling Chloe out properly on her bullying after Despair bear.
3) Not standing up for himself to Gabriel or Ladybug as much as he could.
4) Maybe he needs to make a bit more of an effort with the rest of the class friendship wise
5) Listening to Plagg's bad advice and ignoring his good advice or hints about "Girlfriends and Pigtails"
6) having his hissy fit in Syren at a dangerous time
7) Leaving town without telling Ladybug on multiple occasions.
8) Being a bit to creepy with Ladybug sometimes
9) Lying to Theo in Copycat / Being jealous
10) Being a people pleaser
11) Giving up Plagg to easily in the New York special
12) Not complaining much when Ladybug hits him
13) Being a bit dense about Marinette's crush i.e the posters in her room

(Ex: Cat Blanc)
Please take note of this is coming from someone who had a mentally strained relationship with there own father.
I agree
I am so sorry about you and your father, I am here for you ❤

Gabriel is not just bad. He's also an overprotective.
Darth Vader: Finally...a worthy opponent. Our battle will be LEGENDARY!
He got so greedy with the miraculouses, he hurt his own son without knowing. He did more harm then good.

@@arithelovely3153 Both Ladybug and Gabriel are at faults!
Yeah um I was shocked when he denounced Plagg but given how he could have accidentally killed someone it’s... understandable why😅
Yes even the miraculous couldn't do anything about it. Only because Ucany was a man made creation she could help. If ladybug would get his catacylym she would die forever. No return. How could he then forgive himself. Thanks for 21 likes 😀(Not including my like)
Yea and with his life and getting a response that you feared and it happens then I would have done that that too
I would have done the same thing.
I haven't watched the show in a while so I might not remember most of them but all I can think of is befana which wasnt really her fault, gladiator but like the nan was sad because she rejected ONE icecream like maybe she just wasn't hungry and copycat is debatable but that was more chat noirs jealousy and lie than ladybug not showing up. @@dod297 I'd say she sometimes might "contribute" to an Akumatisation - like ditching Manon in Puppeteer 2 for example or allowing Alya to push aside Juleka in Refektdoll, or telling Kim to confess to his crush She kinda helped with Desperada a bit too.
Prime queen was all nadias fault and ladybug was completely in the right yo leave as she betrayed her trust by making her uncomfortable, I don't know why people try to make out that she is in the wrong in this episode.
She wasnt rude in glaciator, if andre can't accept one rejection and got that sad then he should be a business owner, not everyone has to accept your icecream and they are allowed to believe your icecream doesn't make people 'soulmates' god I hate that word.
Sorry about my terrible grammar, I wrote it quickly.

@@Vrog11 your name, as much as I don't like Adrigami, we have to admit that the relationship is not entirely Kagami's fault. Adrien isn't going to wait around for Marinette to confess her love for him just because she's the main protagonist. I just couldn't understand why Mari didn't try to stay in Paris. She knew she was the failsafe but she was so ready to leave.
Me neither at least trade Miraculous with Cat noir and have Mr Bug protect it
Because she put her own personal desire (when she thought Adrien was coming New York too) to spend time with her crush over the safety of Paris, I don't think she thought it through at all she was only thinking "Adrien" and Paris gets a stuff cat beacon and that is the extent of her (essentially non) planning .

AGREE...
Well said 👍👏
Half the fandom dunks on Marinette's or Adrien's characters by just looking on surface level
But your response really showed how much they've grown throughout the seasons as both characters and People
Sure both are flawed but they are alot of good qualities to work with
Which makes their dynamic all the more interesting
@@frisk8632 agree!!! I’m fine with Adrien dating Kagami cause it can help him with dating experience & get to know what kind of girl he really likes. I understand he falls for Ladybug because of her confidence which guys do like in girls. But he can learn about other qualities
I'm pretty sure Adrien only likes Kagami as a friend because he's tried liking her and I dont think that worked very well- Ngl even if Adrigami becomes canon, I hope its for a while ;-;
@@liacheese5845 it is gonna be for a while cause they’re in high school so it’s not gonna last long. Idk if u watched the NY special but she did kiss him on the lips as a peck
MIRACULOUS SHIPS-
Ladynoir- The one with the flirting, kisses and puns
Adrienette- Toxic creepy stalker relationship
Ladrien- The mutual relationship with a lot of blushing
MArichat- the one that only happens when both characters are rejected by the one they love.
I think mari is becoming slightly less obsessed
@@chidorikubb7141 *cue New York special* nope
@@gracekim25 i mean she wasnt even that sad when adrien left
Umm there the same people lol 😂
IMO none of them are good. Except also IMO Marinette is not 100% the problem. Adrien's pretty guilty too.
I thought the fandom was on adrien's defence not calling him selfish. I genuinely felt bad and upset when I heard about their reaction. He was just a boy who doesn't know how or what is it like to have a healthy and normal relationship. This is why I favour Chat noir/Adrien.
yes :(
Exactly, as soon as I heard that they thought he was being selfish, sensitive, and MANIPULATIVE????? They’re really just trying to make him a horrible character or something because adrien is not like that. It’s shocking and really upsetting that people actually think of him like this because that is not the type of person he is. Everyone talks about marinettes pain and life but not adriens??? I love them and I get marinettes pain and feel terrible for her but what about chat noir?? He’s also the main character and deserves love as well as marinette.
