This makes the whole game have a new and fun interpretation. Link is a child and all of his adventures are in his imagination, Ganon is his dad pretending to be the monster at the end before they all fall into a giggle fit.
This would make for a really tragic Zelda game with a heartbreaking final boss if they ever went this route, or it could lead to a Link whose goal becomes to free Ganon from the curse of Demise. I suspect it's not too unrealistic either way at this point considering how many risks they took with Breath of the Wild.
Shion Rasenka Honestly the King in Wind Waker is the villain. Ganondorf wanted to uncover the land of Hyrule and the surrounding kingdoms. It would have opened up so much more land for the current inhabitants of the small islands. They would have more room to live on, could farm more, wouldn’t have to worry about population and space issues, etc. Heck, Ganondorf wanted to use the triforce to end the cycle without killing any of the three of them. Can you really say he is such a bad guy?

Eh, I’ve played many games where you’ve had to kill/defeat your own father. One of the more recent ones was that you had to stab your own- well he wasn’t his biological father he was the man he called father and he was the one who raised him and trained him to be a warrior.
Will you have to fight Ganon? If so then a game where Ganon is Link's father and you as Link have to fight him would be difficult to make. You as Link is the hero destined to save Hyrule but the one seeking to destroy Hyrule and the Triforce is your father. That is a game that the developers would want to trigger an emotional response with. Best way to do that is to keep Ganon's identity as secret as possible until the final battle. Little link is so cute and adorable it's killing me. Same with Ganondad (let's call him that it's more fitting) he's very great. Nabooru too is cool too. The drawing art is beautiful and the English dub very good

The thing is that the curse doesn’t work that way. Ganondorf is not a random person chose by demise, he is a reincarnation of him and link is a reincarnation of the past hero. And in the game the reincarnation works with you being born connected to the spirit of that person, Ganondorf exist because Demise exist, so him having a redemption arc wouldn’t make any sense in the canon way because he is and will always be the king of evil. Said that, I would love to see a male gerudo that is not a demise reincarnation, the idea of one being born from time to time is very interesting and I would love to see a character like that in the gerudo tribe, specially because that’s my favorite race in the game
Haywire Reborn yeah they could, but “curing” Ganondorf is not an option, because he is a reincarnation. Zelda and Link could destroy it somehow, saving the gerudo male cycle in the process, but it wouldn’t be Ganondorf no more
