Boris Altshuler interviewed for l'X on Air

Boris Altshuler, Professor in Theoretical Physics from Columbia University, came at École Polytechnique for a few months as Visiting Professor, thanks to the support of the Alliance Program and the Friends of Ecole Polytechnique, sister organisation of the Ecole Polytechnique Foundation in the United States. Boris Altshuler has made pioneering contributions to theoretical condensed matter physics, especially on “Anderson localization”. In April, he will give a series of lectures at École Polytechnique precisely on that topic. In this video, he tells us more about his research and he gives advice to students who consider doing a career in physics. He also expresses his opinion on cooperations between research and industry.
