- Hey Ya,ll this is my first time to go wade fishing for spawning crappie and it definitely won't be my last. I had a great time using my 13ft long pole with a jig and slip cork in this submerged vegetation. I hope you enjoy!

CATCHAHAWG teaches you how to catch more Crappie, Catfish, and Bass. I have been a full time Lake Fork Guide since February 1996 and I want to share with you my fish catching secrets that I have accumulated after all these years on the lake. Lake Fork is known all over the world for it’s trophy bass fishing. However, Lake Fork is full of giant crappie, blue catfish and flathead catfish. On this channel we are going to teach you the techniques that I as a Lake Fork Guide use to catch these species. Please hit the SUBSCRIBE button and don’t forget to hit the bell so you don’t miss out on any upcoming videos. Thank you for your support.
Sharing fishing tips to help you catch more fish each time you get out on the lake.

Great video and loved how you shared everything when another fisherman.
Thank you Edwardo. I hope I’m helping everyone catch more fish. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment 👍
Great video Gary. I can't believe it's your first time using waders but it is a great way to move in on those crappies. I have been using them on Lavon for years. Keep up the geat content.
Yeah I just never have done it. I’ve always fished out of my boat and just never thought about it. I’ll definitely be going more now. It’s very enjoyable. Thank you for watching 👍
Looks like fun
You bet ya. It’s definitely my favorite time of year to fish. 👍
Great video. I used to have a pole just like that.
Thank you sir. I’ve got five of them lol my customers use them everyday during the spawn. They love it
great video thanks for sharing
Thank you Robert. It was fun getting out there. I’m going to try to make a habit of it lol Thank you for your comment 👍
Great video! I will be ordering some of those waders, thanks !
Thanks a bunch. I really appreciate you taking the time to watch 👍
That is something that I have never tried. May have to do that one day...looks like it was fun. Are you still guiding on Lake Fork?
Yes sir I am. And yeah I’m definitely going to be doing some more wade fishing. It was very therapeutic.
A LITTLE TIP ON THE WADERS CROSS YOUR SHOLDER STRAPS. YOU WILL THANK ME LATER.I LEARNED THIS FROM A OLD TIMER FIRST TIME I WHEN WADE FISHING.
Hey that’s a good idea. Thank you for sharing that. I appreciate you taking the time to comment 👍
Can I ask why cross your satraps. Just purchased my 1st pair of waders today and I can't wait to get them wet
@@panfishin-fool8057 I’m guessing to keep them from falling off your shoulders. Only boney fellas like me might have that problem lol thank you for the comment 👍
@@panfishin-fool8057 not all are the same but mine the straps will come down over your shoulder crossing them helps stop that. i noticed his were much like mine.
I Love It • I would love to wade for crappie if I had a good area for it - Nice Catches!!!
Thank you sir. Do y’all not have any lakes in your area that have enough shallow cover for wading?
@@CATCHAHAWG I would have to take my boat across the lake or down the lake to the shallow crappie areas and get out of the boat lol
@@ppdrawings I’m thinking about doing that as well. There’s a lot of good water that I can’t reach from
shore. Hopefully that will happen soon.
Back in the 80's we would fish the outside edge of the brush in a boat and them hit the banks to to fish the inside edges. This was at Lake Tawakoni. We spot was always loaded with crappie but you have to fight of the snakes to get to them.
@@Grainraiser I was sure glad I didn’t run into any snakes. I’d have to whoop them with that long rod lol
