Here's the problem I have with this whole thing: bail just doesn't work like that. There is immediate bail for common and petty crimes, but those have to be paid in person at the jail. For something like vehicular manslaughter, you're not getting bail prior to being arraigned by a judge. And you're going to have to go visit a bail bondsman's office ... it isn't going to be a measly few thousand. These scammers prey on people panicking and making fast decisions. Slow down. Talk to someone. Don't believe everything. Verify. Call a real lawyer and ask questions. Someone I know just got a call TODAY claiming that they kidnapped her daughter and demanding $25K, and they texted a sound clip of her crying and begging for her mom to send money. She had her friend call her daughter while she stalled them. The daughter was at home! All AI. Don't believe anything you can't see in-person.

I went through a similar experience two months ago. They wanted me to pay ransom for my mother. My brother , who was with me, caĺled her number on his phone and found she was okay. Unfortunately this happened more often hopefully the police also check in the Uber drivers in Kentucky they find out some were involved in this scams getting a part of the money.
This happened to an elderly woman i know minus the uber. Phone call said her grandkid was in jail and she got 2 payments sent off before the bank finally stepped in.
This man is sitting here like he was all in this alone. His DAUGHTER went along with this entire thing, SHE handed the money to Uber driver, and only AFTER, starts to have misgivings. Yes your father is an adult, but he is an OLD MAN. The daughter should feel a duty to do due diligence in his behalf. If your son has been in a horrible accident and is going to jail, thje first questions you ask is "where are they holding him? I'm going to see him. We're getting lawyer..." etc. Not handing money over to a random person in am Uber based on a phone call. The daughter is the one who should be doing this interview and answering for this.

This same scheme happened in Ohio with fatal results. Do not ever assume that someone is in jail because the phone call goes to voicemail; if he was in doubt, he could have called his son's wife/fiance/girlfriend, or called his workplace. He could have also physically visited his son, as it is assumed his son lived nearby. Do not assume anything anymore from a random phone call out of the blue.
Don’t feel bad someone I know gave them her entire life’s savings-retirement account $280,000 and didn’t think something was wrong until she mortgaged her home and sent them that money as well.
Together, we can confront these heartless scammers and reclaim what has been taken from us. *Universal Dispute* is your ally in this vital endeavor, committed to restoring hope and justice for all victims.
These are definitely the last days. I do not answer my phone at all. Unless it's a member of my family. I keep my phone on mute. This man is a trip. He gets a random phone call. He gets in the car goes to the bank. He conjures up a lie on how to ( LIE ) to with draw money to pay for solar panels. He with draws money. He gets money. He gets back into his car and drives home from bank, He gets home has his daughter to call Michael Roberts. He gets daughter to call Michael Roberts and tell we got the money. He gets told the Uber driver is at your door. He gets daughter takes money to the awaiting Uber driver. She the daughter verified Uber and hands over a Manila envelope with money. Uber driver leaves. He gets another call for more money. He goes back to the bank ( LIAR ). He repeats the above process. This man and his daughter need a guardian. Why isn't the daughter sitting next to him telling about her role in this scam. Unbelievable. He sounds like an idiot.
My mom received a call from a hysterical woman claiming to be me saying I’m in trouble a man takes over the call instructing her not to tell her husband or the police asking how much money they have and that they will not hurt me but need money. My mom put the phone on speaker my dad heard what was going on and called me. Fortunately I heard the call come in and answered and assured him I was ok. I could hear my frantic mom talking to these idiots and instructed her to hang up, I could hear them calling her back. Needless to say they handled this well. Sharen up of course but well. Warn your elderly parents and kids of these scams and how to handle them.

Why would you give cash money to a lawyer you didnt hire and an uber driver. Get lawyers name address, phone and say youll get back to the. Then call your son and other family. Simple is an understatement. Time for so.e trustfudn baby liability. Pay up. Corporations and Politicians.
Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
Just don't answer the phone.
I never do
I’m so glad: I’m broke.
A scammer tried to call my older sister saying that they needed money but thank God she called me to make sure
This is despicable
Unfortunately this happened more often hopefully the police also check in the Uber drivers in Kentucky they find out some were involved in this scams getting a part of the money.
I bet some of those Uber drivers know.
Always go thru a bails bond. And call the jail first.
Wow. What a shame.
You can’t fix stupid.
I have to agree, because common sense would tell you to call a local and trusted lawyer, rather than dealing with a stranger on the phone.
Wouldn’t the caller ID be the first red flag?
These are definitely the last days. I do not answer my phone at all. Unless it's a member of my family. I keep my phone on mute. These bums are so desperate and hard up for a dollar that they are even sending emails threatening people if they do not respond to their bullshit. Hang on to your hats, folks! This is just the beginning of things to come!

The social media narcissists deserves karma 😂😂😂 no sympathy
I'm interested in seeing how many people can spot the scammer(s) in the comments that have been posted below. It never ends.
In a world rife with deceit, it is crucial to remember that you are not alone in this battle.

Enjoyed being in your class today with your young students. I had heard 'Oxymoron' before but had no idea what it meant. I consider myself a lifelong learner, so at the age of 63 l have learnt something new. I think you’re a wonderful teacher and your students are very fortunate to have you teach them. 😃 ✅ 💯
I don't answer the phone unless its labeled in my contacts (& the actual number for someone, not that caller ID spoofing 💩 like the scammers that keep tryna make me believe its Directv etc do) or if im waiting an important call at the time. & i don't answer the door much unless im expecting company either, mainly cause its usually tv/internet salesmen, a jehovahs witness or someone trying to get me to go to a certain church 🤦🏻♀️
I stupidly used to fall for those shady "get this expensive item for free" stuff online as a kid though, & obviously never actually got any of it 🙄
Oooorrr, it really was his son.
Think you nailed it. The son and daughter are part of the scam.
This is very suspicious. dont buy my words, but family engagements during the process looks like he was narrowly targeted. Uber drivers, and without calling police for help his daughter handing cash
At what point can we blame the victims?
Oh sure he should have known anyway. Really old man against artificial intelligence. Try again
@ Was he born an old man? Has he never heard of any sort of scam in his day? And where’s that energy for trump? He’s 78! Is he a weak, fragile, feeble old man as well?
Are you kidding, a news channel uploading in 360p?
Anybody who asks you for money is a thief and a scammer. Do not give any money to any ody in this lifetime except you call and double check more than enough time
The quality of this video is not good. Why was this filmed in 360p?
However, the content was informative.
Told my mom to send me to jail ill figure it out 🤗

Why would you give cash money to a lawyer you didnt hire and an uber driver. Get lawyers name address, phone and say youll get back to the. Then call your son and other family.
You pay a lawyer you hired in person by check, money order, credit card.
I dont know of bond raised in a few hours. I thought bond is set when you go to court.
If he called me and said he was Robert Durst or the detective said she was AOC I would believe them both!
Its ok buddy. I lost 25k in crypto. Then 25k in stock market. The government scam
I just don’t understand how people fall for this, new technology or not!!! His daughter should have known better. An Uber driver? What lawyer gets an Uber driver to conduct business? Hard to feel sorry for him.
But what happened to the son?
Why is it still allowed?
The daughter was in on it!!!!!!!!
If it sounds suspicious just tell em "Hang on let me call you right back".
Most scams rely on fear and greed - never panic - take time to verify!
This could all be avoided if the son just picked up the phone.....
But ai is sentient, so, arrest the ai for its involvement in this! 🧐
The old man said you don't think that way but if you are intelligent you do in fact think that way. It's just him that doesn't think that way. He's assuming we're all gullible like him. That's his first mistake in life. He appears mighty smartass and smug about the whole thing. So let him think he saved the world. Save yourself pal because nobody else is going to fall for that kind of stupid scam. I heard the Brooklyn bridges for sale. 😮
He's stupid for getting scammed, but huge respect for him to be go on TV/youtube to warn everyone else.
Sounds like an inside job. His daughter could not have stepped in or why not call your own lawyer for help.
Nope. He wanted to give it away.
Where the heck was the son all this time... on a cruise ship? Smh
Common sense is not so common anymore, scamming is a billion dollar industry cause people dont use their logic
Come on really!!!! Only in america
