@@jimmythegent9190 Yup. Thats the difference you gotta make. Underrated by the general public, but held to a high standard by those in the music industry. So much so that he gets placements with mainstream and super famous artists and you wouldnt know about it
Jeremy Flores Guzman Right lol. I had a homie that produces that told a short story before playing each beat lol. and it would sound just like the story he told
One very good example of how a selfless act can come full circle quickly because what you really wanted was to experience joy from the outside; vicariously through a friend you blessed with a free gift. 👍
WOW!! Jake you snapped on this and the vocal inserts genius!! But like my man's chaotic said get some rest OG. You've been blessing us consistently.. Blessings
"I need a beat thats gonna really make me rap" lol that gotta be every rappers dream to have a friend like that . and to top it off you did it off the strength of yah just being cool . that's love .
The infamous ASR. Man I wish I hadn't jumped over "that part" to go to the MP. And from that, now working with FL. Seems like a steady decline but on the contrary for me it works. *forthemoment
yo jake, what is your routing situation when youre tracking out beats into protools? im rocking with Ableton and and a MPC 2xl and 2 channel interface with no MIDI, so any adive would be awesome at this point.
Yeah all these comments are legit on point. That DRUM SEQUENCE though... yeah i also wish he went over the drum programing in PT. I love using pro tools for drums cuz the flexibility you have is endless and you can really get particular about it. However i often wonder how other producers use it for their drums... anyone feel like sharing????
And If i someday produce some good shit and somebody ask me : "who your one of biggest influence?" - i definitely would say: One of them was and is Jacob Dutton from Seattle...
It might be easy but a lot of guys don't have the ears for a great and original sample! That is the real key to being a good sampling producer/beat maker
Jake One so underated. You one of the greatest Jake. Keep it up
COLEWORLD what up!!!! lol
Jay Cole he's not underrated at all he's just low key. Heavy in the game. Respected by top dogs.

Philly International stems!!! Holy fuck. I heard of a few cats with access but shit. That is literally gold.
Jake is very oldschool and normally that shit sounds stale but his beats never sound boring and have impeccable pockets.

having the stems for that song is pretty much hardcore pornography
And If i someday produce some good shit and somebody ask me : "who your one of biggest influence?" - i definitely would say: One of them was and is Jacob Dutton from Seattle...
0:53 google “your customer pattern”?
Anyone know the reference?
I figured it out. He’s referencing the bass line pattern of “You’re a customer” by EPMD...
@@scottmorgan8333 Master ;)
Second
Aka turnpike ike
Producers nowadays cant sample if you asked them im kind of used to it now took late nights studyin and practicin
Dre Day Beats I'm learning to sample,it's a hard skill to learn for me
Panashe Tshuma just keep practicing you'll get it and study different techniques some way easier
J3r3m1ah a lot of people i be talkin to dont know how to do it and it took me some time to learn how
It might be easy but a lot of guys don't have the ears for a great and original sample! That is the real key to being a good sampling producer/beat maker
thats not true. there are some great sample producers out there. its not the style as much now. but just look around
those vocal breaks tho damn..
