About the show:
The nationwide search for the next superstar kicked off in August as the Idol Bus traveled covering 23 cities across the country. Auditioning was made easier than ever as hopefuls also had the opportunity to submit audition videos online as well as via select social media platforms using an official tag The Next Idol cultivating over 300,000 posts. Also for the first time in “American Idol” history hopefuls had the opportunity to audition through a livestream platform.
Helping to determine who America will ultimately vote for to become the next singing sensation are music industry forces and superstar judges Luke Bryan Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Host and producer Ryan Seacrest will return as host of the beloved series.

Alejandro doesn't need the band - he is brilliant on his own w/his guitar - the band has been way too loud! I just love his humility & his adorable smile! I want him to only sing HIS songs - they are ALL amazing!!!
Have to say...all his covers are gold, too. The Bieber, the Coldplay, the Post Malone, the Bob Marley. Selfish, but would like more.

American Idol is not even in his league - he will go far while a majority of the "singers" will be singing karaoke on a cruise ship or some two bit lounge after this show
This is why I’m not sure winning would be the best thing for him unless they let him do things his way for his album. His way is amazing.
