Hi, I didn’t layover in France. My layover was in Paris, and they only checked my hand luggage. They didn’t ask me any questions. When you land, you will clear your luggage at the immigration check point. This is my experience as a PR

Please could you go over the transit VISA situation; if you’re booking an AirFrance flight from Lagos to Canada?
Do you apply for this VISA before you leave Nigeria, and how long does it take to come out or do you just get it once you arrive @ Charles De Gaulle airport in France?

You don’t need transit visa if you are not stepping out of Paris airport.

Lol I was shaking as well when someone told me I needed to get transit visa… But not to worry so far you are not leaving the airport
@@oluwabusayomia Any ideas of cool things to do for that 8hr layover, I know you can’t walk around duty free for that entire duration, so currently reasoning things to use to pass time other than sleeping.
Well you can as well tour the airport, take pictures, catch up with fam 😀 before you know it 8hrs has passed

Hi please can I carry a lunch bag and store food like eg fried chicken and shawarma ? Is it allowed?
No you can’t. Chicken isn’t allowed… only if you are consuming all at the airport before you board
You’re actually allowed to bring food that you’ll eat on the flight. Make sure to check with your airline to make sure. It varies from flight to flight. I’ve had food on both Klm and Air France

Ma please if I have someone in canada like a friend or my family members can they help me to come to canada I mean the immigration processing
You can get additional points if you have a family member… it depends on the province, I guess with Saskatchewan nomination you can get additional points if you have either a family member or friend living in the province. Not too sure tho.

@@stellachima7735 You will need to check IRCC website for a suitable route. I doubt if PR will work with only secondary school certificate as you need to meet other requirements.

@@oluwabusayomia sorry I didn't ask well, I mean to say some of the flights pass through new York to Toronto. As an African will I need a USA transit visa even though I have obtained the Canada pr
I am not sure about that. You may need to check with the customer care of the airline you intend booking. However, you may not need transit visa if you don’t plan leaving the airport.

How long did your Visa approval took?
I got my passport back 5 weeks after submission

I didn’t use an agent
If you can do it yourself - you only have to read so much in the government of Canada website but it robs you of heartaches -Don't get me wrong here. Some agency are good but how do you know the good ones? I used 2 agencies really BIG ONES and they flopped big time. I was rejected 3 times for Canada. Then I did the last one myself and got it - All these took me 12 years. So for me, be your agency
