Guga wakes up every morning, says “it’s been a while since I had a steak”, has steak and eggs for breakfast. Lunch time rolls around and he’s like, “I haven’t had steak and potatoes in a while man” and has steak and fried potatoes for lunch. Dinner time rolls around and the conversation is as follows, Guga: what do you want to have for dinner, honey? Wife: oh, I don’t know, when was the last time you had steak and mashed potatoes? Guga: oh boi it’s been a while I gotta tell you, but I’ll tell you what. I got a wagyu in the sous vide already. Wife: why did you have a steak in the sous vide? Guga: ... research purposes.
Hey Guga, thanks for your great videos. After watching your videos, I have three requests for future videos: - Please try some other cattle breeds than wagyu and American beef. - How do you clean all your pans and other cooking ustensils so they continue to be so shiny ? - Please cook a foie gras in a terrine using sous vide. And yes I'll repeat those requests often. ;)
Guga, can you do an experiment where you cook 3 exactly same steak then say that it was an experiment to MauMau(not sure how to spell it, sorry if I write it wrong) I think this experiment can be an interesting idea and I'm sure some people is agree with me, I'm sorry if someone commented this before a I didn't saw it. We're looking forward to it Guga!
I remember when SVE use to be about sous vide various dishes known around the world. Not a format channel where they sous vide steaks and make a side dish the normal way.
tried it......used premium top sirloin instead of ribeye, but very good....especially with the gravy. I made my usual mashed potatoes (cream cheese, butter, milk, garlic, salt, pepper) and topped with the ritz bacon mixture. It was very good, but something was missing....added a couple dollops of sour cream....masterpiece!!! Coupled with 2 fingers of good whiskey, and that was a really good dinner
When I saw this thumbnail, I had to rub my eyes- wipe the screen- click the video _AND HEAR GUGA HIMSELF SAY IT HERE_ 0:03 to believe this kind of stuff😂😂
To me the little clips at the end after he says the first bye is a lot better guga should have those clips more often at the end of the video as some of them are gold 😂
That crust on the potatoes is basically the same thing I put on my mac and cheese, definitely recommend trying it. You can also just throw the crackers and bacon into the food processor and break it all up together as well.
Guga you should try "rass el hanout" which is a mix of spices we use in north africa, it includes around 15 spices, we rubb it on meats, fish and make alot of dishes with it
Guga i have a great idea for an experiment next time:) There is a seasoning on the market that makes everything like bacon And like we all know, bacon makes everything better. It is called Deliciou, they have multiple seasonings like smoky bacon and honey bacon, you get the idea. Crazy experiment like always, definitely going to try this man those steaks look good!
Have you considered doing an experiment integrating Warheads candy into a dish? I'd think the acid and sugar would certainly have an effect on the meat!
Guga, microwave your potatoes with the skin on and use a ricer. No need to peel them ever again and you don’t boil the flavor away. Add salt, cream cheese, butter and milk, and a fork to mix. No more smashing since the ricer did that for you. Perfect potatoes and simple.
Hey guga, could you try making a chicken parmo? It’s a butterflied chicken breast, breaded with bread crumbs and deep fried. You then make a béchamel sauce and put it on top and then put cheese on it and broil it. Trust me it’s amazing.
Ok Guga...I think I have a possible experiment for you. I know you did an episode way back about Oreo crusted foods and it had mixed results. Using the same meats as that video: Steak, Pork and Chicken; why not do something with Mole Sauce? You could do two different versions for each meat. A store bought Mole and a homemade Mole to see which one might be better suited for flavor. Either just as an outright sauce or as a marinade. Just make sure both versions have Cocoa or Chocolate in the ingredients.
Béchamel and read meat ? Ok. I'll keep that in mind. Once again I'm a bit surprised you didn't cook your potatoes sous vide. Anyhow the steaks looked awesome as usual !
I have lived in the US for most of my life, this is the first time I have ever seen or heard of deep fried steak. I would argue 1000x over that french fries, pizza, burgers and increasingly tacos are Americas #1 snack foods.
surprised to see angel back on the channel. Unfortunately he doesn’t look dry aged
Bro 😂😂
U good bro?
unfortunate.. like guga always said, don't knock it until you try it!
🤣

Yeah, and with dry aged Wagyu fat, and with cured Iberian pork fat
Try this with "Dot's Pretzel breading" or ANdy's Fish Breading", though the last one works great with chicken.
+1 for dots pretzels if they aren't a regional thing
Dots pretzels for sure!!
Loves dots pretzels and the dots baked Cheetos

They're incredible when you bread some pork chops with them
Hello Guga, I'm a big fan. I haven't seen you use the seasoning: Sage on pork. They seem to pair well together. Just a tip.
Your Wife must be a Very Happy Bride! I'm loving the side-dish, almost as much as the steaks!!

Ritz work great as a deep fried crust! My dad and I use them as a breading with creole seasoning on venison backstraps. Tastes so good!

I've never deep fried it but I have used Ritz crackers like shake and bake on chicken and pork chops.
Idea: Dry Age Wagyu in Wagyu Tallow.
Make Wagyu Even More Wagyu-like, then crank that shiz up to 10 with dry aging!
And then add MSG.
