Thank you, Dr. Nimer Abusalim. I am your student from Thailand. I like your lectures. They are so clear and easy to understand.

This is fundamental and essential knowledge that all songwriters/artists should continually study and work on. I wouldn't be surprised if half of them don't even know what semantics and cymatics are.

This video is the second of yours that I have watched and listened to, and I am of the belief that you truly understand the need we have, as learners, for seeing (in our mind's eye) the different points of view at each step in the learning process.
I am looking forward to mentally grasping even more of your restaurant's food (for the mind). Cheers.

I didnt read Noam Chomsky book but, by now, I dont agree that "Colorless green ideas sleep furiously" lacks of semantics. It is a phrase that creates a sense. Maybe a poetic sense, a personal sense in each one, but that what happens with meaning all the time, even with "common sense" phrases. They can mean so different things. So maybe, after all, Syntax is not so separated from Semantics, because the example phrase is pure syntax and yet it has meaning.
So meaning is not created though "common sense", yes putting together words that "match". I think, given some criteria, its so difficult to avoid meaning.
(Sorry for my english, it is not my native lenguage)

Descriptive grammar needs an inventory of actual instances of people speaking. That has to have its own headaches of sampling bias.
