The fundamental difference between Glee and Starkid can be seen in their tours. When Glee has new people, they add them to the background of old songs with the condition that they don't steal the limelight from Lea Mich- I mean, the soloists. Like the background ensemble members in big movie musical numbers; present but unimportant. But when STARKID adds "new" people to songs, they're welcomed in and Found a place to shine. Like being welcomed into a big group hug; plenty of love to go around!
The Starkids are great because fame and fortune are tertiary concerns; creativity, integrity, and (most important of all) fun had by both performers and audience members are taken into consideration first! They never planned on being famous; they were just goofing off for their friends. And even when it was just 20 college kids with $100 for sets/costumes, they put their darndest into everything! We love their work because they love their work!
I love that Darren sang the "it doesn't matter at all where I'm from" part. I just think it's great because no matter where he goes, he's still a Starkid.
the beginning thing, with the voiceovers and everything, right before the show starting, it felt like one of those disney roller coasters where you hear all these familiar voices right before and you get all excited and scared and shite.
SO DID I!!! me and another girl who was crying, we were crying and hugging and jumping up and down, and after the song ended, i was like oh yea, my name's emily.. XD
@MissFreakinAwesome I agree with you I saw the original show in Ann Arbor and it was awesome, the original show was really good, but this show looks really good too.
I love how even though most of the songs they do were originally solos, for the concert they split them all up, and they're all awesome. There's no one star who hogs the spotlight all the time *coughgleecough*
When Darren say "I wanna be a Starship ranger, it doesnt matter at all where im from" my first thought was how it kinda sounds like it meant hes still apart of starkid...thats probably NOT what it meant, but it makes sense....to me XD
Don't forget the Philippines! I mean Darren already came here once but next time he should bring the whole Team Starkid with him! Maybe he can even share with them some of his fave Pinoy dishes considering he is part Pinoy!! :D
Yay, the world's most favorite hobbit!! Not gonna lie, I just squealed like a crazy person when I realized it was him! People looked at me like I'm insane - right now is the lunch break of the general uni admissions exam in Sweden (med school, here I come! ...maybe... hopefully... huh?), so people are fairly tense and stressed... I was too, before I got my StarKid on! ...*squee!* Darren's there! The family's whole again! :D
Decided: When they invent time machines, After I go kill hitler and chill with Jim Henson and MJ for a little while Im going back to Boston on the morning of November 25th 2011 and hiding in the theater's supply closet and neaking into theStarkids' S.P.A.C.E. concert.
@littlemissstarkid They seriously NEED to do some sort of Australia/New Zealand tour! Us Australians and New Zealanders are always left out of EVERYTHING! Cockblocked by a fucking ocean -_-
When I first watched this I was laughing at the little conversation they had backstage, and then they started singing and I was having a little fangirl moment. But then Darren came in (and I didn't know he was there) and I had a mental FanGirl breakdown (where your brain explodes and there in brain all over you skull and you have a mini fangirl attack that my mom that I was dying from but I am ok) cause I didn't think he would come to one but now I am like laughing little fangirl and a little m

This was the moment when I knew I definitely had no regrets about buying tickets for both Boston shows
@heyheyleyley i started to ball and then started to sing.. reunited and it feels so good......
the beginning thing, with the voiceovers and everything, right before the show starting, it felt like one of those disney roller coasters where you hear all these familiar voices right before and you get all excited and scared and shite.
912pinkturtle OMG yeah!
You know, they hit it right on the nose. The greatest life to live IS found right here, among StarKIds.
SO DID I!!! me and another girl who was crying, we were crying and hugging and jumping up and down, and after the song ended, i was like oh yea, my name's emily.. XD

@MissFreakinAwesome I agree with you I saw the original show in Ann Arbor and it was awesome, the original show was really good, but this show looks really good too.

When Darren say "I wanna be a Starship ranger, it doesnt matter at all where im from" my first thought was how it kinda sounds like it meant hes still apart of starkid...thats probably NOT what it meant, but it makes sense....to me XD

I literally forgot to breathe for the last 20 seconds of this. No really.

Is it sad that I'm glad I went to the Cincy show without Darren? I mean I love Darren and all, but I'm glad I got to see the original SPACEtour...

the "I LOVE YOU GUYS" around 2:22 and 2:45 ish was me. I had no idea my voice sounded so fangirly...
Was Darren supposed to be at boston?
I mean it was filmed on my 19th birthday
@littlemissstarkid They seriously NEED to do some sort of Australia/New Zealand tour! Us Australians and New Zealanders are always left out of EVERYTHING! Cockblocked by a fucking ocean -_-
Not necessarily "new" as in "new to Starkid/Glee". I mean "new" as in "hasn't sung this particular song before".
and then the scream for darren.
@starkidlover12 no just new york
I cannot even.......WHY?! WHY DO I LIVE IN NEW ZEALAND?!
0 dislikes?! THANKS HER-- oh, wait.
