This track to this day stands as one of the best final boss themes to me. That breakdown and build up going into 3:00-3:30 is fucking perfection. It's such an empowering swell of vocal energy.
It is more fun and harder if you use impossible mode on. But you have to download the extra stuff so u can start new game+. And have Dragon Bracelet and Renew Necklace on everyone. It is cheating but i don't care.
He won't be smirking for long if you've beat gold mecha robo and king poo beforehand lol, he'll be dead in about eight hits. Very good final boss though when you're not over levelled.
I don't think this is the 'greatest' final boss music, but what makes it one of my favorites is the execution. The game took you on a journey and all your efforts were culminated for this final confrontation, this was the do or die moment you didn't exactly see coming. Not to mention you've proven yourself you can do it at this point, you're not scared, even when the boss' music sings that everything will be destroyed, you're standing against it because the game taught you to believe. Corny but it's true, you feel triumphant even before the boss is defeated~! Loved this game for hitting all the right notes and not stumbling too far where it may have!
@Jeff Cotten I just finished listening to this song you linked for the first time. I absolutely love Yoko with a passion and it was beautifully orchestrated but I don’t think it quite reached the highs of the 3:12 to 3:50 part of The Seal Is Broken personally. It just completely screams ‘finale’ and the choir, baseline, keyboard, intense asf guitars in the background and the drums all combine to make an amazing and unique sounding final Boss Theme. It stands out strongly from the rest of this game’s OST as well which sounds nothing like this which makes it even more hard hitting during a playthrough and the lyrics in translation are perfect for the end battle of the game. But music is very subjective and it’s just an agree to disagree thing. I haven’t played Live A Live so of course I’m biased towards Uematsu and Blue Dragon.
@Jeff Cotten I’ll be sure to check them out, and I believe you that those games probably have a better story than Blue Dragon does. BD has its moments especially in Disk 3 but a lot of the characters are kind of one-note I’ll admit and the writing could’ve been better. Still enjoy the game a lot though.
I wish this game would get a pc port, its soooo underrated and still stands as one of my favourite games of all time, Love able characters a brilliant villain with a great story, the music from the whole game is 10/10, its got one of the best ost to date, this game is so sorely overlooked and i dont understand why, Lost Oddysee was alot more popular and ofc Final Fantasy has always dominated the genre but honestly after playing all those games i still think this stood above them for its time.
I've been thinking of ways to replay this beauty of a game. I agree with all you said, I don't get why this game and it's shows/movies didn't get the praise that it frankly deserved. It was an absolute blast to play as young me, and as an adult I'm kinda shocked it didn't get very much fame, if *any.* I ended up selling my 360 copy when I hit a roadblock way into the third disc and I couldn't find where to go from there, I couldn't find a playthrough for it either so I was SOL. My 360 died a few years back anyway, but it was still a dumb decision, considering the few platforms it is supported on. It might simply be because it was a big childhood game of mine, but while I understand the adoration and praise Final Fantasy and others get, Blue Dragon still holds a special place in my heart that no Jrpg/rpg game like it will really hit in the same way again.
@@ratguy932 Have you tried emulating this game? its painful, though luckily the game is on XBOX one now and using console companion I can stream my Xbox to my PC and play it as if it were on PC, though prior to this I tried emulating it and the game was just unplayable.

Such an amazing soundtrack!! I still come back to blue dragon sound track and jam out to it. All these years later, I remember being pumped playing this game back in the day. It was worth getting a xbox just for Blue dragon
I remember I had to restart the game because I couldn't defeat Destroy because after Nene's battle I had pretty low hp and mp. I stopped playing and restarted 6 years later and I achieved to defeat him. Oh boy, I didn't know what was coming (talking about freaking King poo, still there)
By FAR one of the most badass final boss fight songs I’ve heard, even if Deathroy was a little lackluster compared to fighting Nene beforehand. And kind of sad that it becomes so easy after fighting all of the dragons as well as the King Poo. At that point, the other three are just chilling while Kluke and Jiro beat the everloving shit out of Deathroy.
