Sorry the first look couldn’t be zoomed in. For some reason during editing, it kept messing up when I’d crop it ❤️
Mel Thompson personally I liked the change up in the first looks “zoomage” lol cause for me it’s cool to see how the brush is held and maneuvered 😬😬 all and all another fantastic review and I love the looks you put together!! I think the larger pans on the UD is really cool and different. I have Sultry and don’t think I need the UD because of the similarities one buttttt I’ll def try and recreate these looks!!! I’m glad I have the ABH cause ya girl needs allll the shimmy shimmaaaassss 💃🏼✨ your the best! 🤗😘❤️
The Sultry palette is also on sale on Ulta.
As much as I love ABH palettes, sometimes I don’t want a super metallic eye look. I know I sound crazy... but I kind of prefer the look of the urban decay palette. I think that for my every day life, if I’m in a rush for work or I just want a “normal” look, the Reloaded Palette would work better... I think I’m just going to wait until I can see it in person, swatch and decide. Thanks for the review!

I completely agree. I cannot create every day looks with sultry (probably my doing). They turn out beautiful but too sultry. I will wait to see it in person and decide. Very likely I will get it eventually
That’s what I’m thinking, too. I do wear the ABH to work, but it would take less effort to create a work look with less dramatic metals.
I also feel the same. I’m in my 40s and the Urban Decay Reloaded shimmers are mostly pearly, which look better on me. I bought this for everyday wear.
Deylight70 on my wishlist but not urgent. Still looking at it
I already own the Sultry pallette, but when I first saw the new Naked on UA-cam I literally fell in love with it! (am I a "neutral" girl?! 🤣) I love the fact that it's warmer toned than the Sultry and, I might be the only one, I like UD eyeshadows better than ABH ones! Looking forward to having it here in Italy! I’ve been loving my Sultry palette since it came out. I use it alone and mixed with other ABH palettes and others in my collection. I don’t think I have any need for the naked reloaded. I decluttered all my old naked palette but I still have smoky, heat and cherry but I think heat will soon be de cluttered because every look comes out the same. But thank you for this video because I’ve been waiting for this comparison.

Lol I didn't even want this palette and now I definitely do. The photos that came out of this initially didn't do it justice. Seeing you knock out a few looks and show the palette really showed me that it has a great balance of rosey, cool, and warm tones all in one palette. It's neutral, but with a few nuances that stop it from being boring. I definitely want it now lol

The Sultry palette is my fav! I actually bought 2 during the holidays because I was afraid I would use it up quickly! Considering it’s limited edition, I’m glad the UD Reloaded is around. It will be a good sub when I hit pan :)

Been waiting for this! Thanks so much. Every time I pop in to my local Ulta, I swatch Sultry and then I don’t buy... even though I really want a cool tone neutral palette. Maybe it’s the black and the coral shades that I won’t use... just not sure. Think I’ll wait till Reloaded hits the stores to see if it will work for me.

Definitely going to go for Sultry. I seen it was on sale and I have it in my Sephora basket online. Lol. I prefer cooler tones. I was debating between the two but sultry really does look more pigmented. You give the best tutorials!!! I’ve been watching all your videos.

all of the stores that sell them have this same sale. I think the have to price match or ABH sets the price across the board? If anyone is on the fence now is the time to snatch it up. I bought another since it was limited edition and I like it a lot. I may just gift it also...IDK but I couldn't pass up that price.

Omg come on taxes momma needs this 🤞😂🔥 I've personally always liked urban decay formula over abh. That's just me. Her most recent palette I did like the shimmer but all her mattes are hecka hard to blend.- side note I have hooded eyes too
Thanks for showing how similar these were. I do notice that UD leans more warm, and the ABH leans more cool. I already have the Sultry Palette, so I don't feel the need to get the Reloaded. I always love your eye looks, and your color combinations inspire me to try something other than what I would naturally do. Thanks Mel!

Thank you for this review! I was looking at this palette trying to decide if I need it but I don't think I'll pick it up after watching this. I already have Sultry and I prefer cool tones so I'm going to just stick with what I have.
I was hoping you would compare these palettes. Great review! I love the looks you created. If the sultry palette was on sale at Sephora Australia, I’d buy it. I prefer the coral shade in the Urban Decay palette, but the rose gold and khaki gold in the Sultry palette are so pretty. 🥰

Hi Mel. Thanks for this comparison. I tried swatching some similar shades in the Reloaded Palette and the Born To Run Palette. Quite interesting. Formula in Reloaded seems slightly softer in a good way (imo).
You are stunning, Miss Mel. Gorgeous eyes and facial features. Love, love, love watching your reviews. You’re very detail oriented. I appreciate that you show us swatches, and beautiful eye looks while giving us your opinion on each palette. I own both, but find myself reaching for the reloaded more. I’ve been trying to get my hands on the Viseart pro apricotine and the Charlotte Tillbury pillowtalk palettes that you mentioned in another video, but they’re always out of stock:(

Omg! I never would’ve guessed those were orchids on the UD palette until you said it. I thought they were flames. Anyway, sweet but sad story about the orchid that Puffin gave you and it following you around until your most recent move. My wedding flowers were all wildflowers with daisy focus and throughout our 20+ years together my husband gives me wildflowers. When everyone else gets roses for romantic occasions, I receive my favorites...wildflowers with daisies.

Both looks you’ve done are stunning. While this palette looks lovely, I already have Sultry and they are sooo similar. So it’s a no go.

Beautiful lady! i'd love to get the Sultry (beacause it's on sale, and because of the impact of the shadows, ABH never disappoints..however, I prefer the warmer leaning shades for sure, in the UD) And that packaging is gorgeous!

Mel, this is great! THank you so much. Maybe next time you can swatch the side by side (as you did) but also add swatches of the unique shades of each pallette, this can help us decide if any of those shades makes a given palette worth buying over the other :)
Such a great review! I love how thorough you are. 🙂 I went to Ulta to swatch the Sultry palette the other day and it was beautiful, but I am more of a natural look type of girl and those metallics! Too much for me unfortunately, but lovely. I wonder if this may be more my speed and help me create my more natural looks. I just wish it was on sale too!
